We only stayed in Key West a few days, but one of the highlights for us was the fabulous Cypress House hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was pretty and inviting. We appreciated the refrigerator. We could walk everywhere we wanted to go. We will definitely go back to Key West and stay here again. We also enjoyed the liming at the pool every late afternoon!

We had a great stay at the Key Lime Inn. From the moment of check in, we felt relaxed.  Our room (#29) was a great location, right off of the pool/breakfast area. The room itself was very inviting, clean, soothing color palette.  The only thing I didn’t like in the room was the shower head, it would have been nice to have more of a rain shower head.  The bed and pillows were very comfortable as well.  We really enjoyed the pool area.  Lots of lounge chairs and tables, pool was the perfect size to just float around and relax in.  The breakfast that was included was really nice.  Fresh muffins, cereal, bagels, toast, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, coffee and juice.  The location was great as well.  Just a few blocks away from Duval Street.  There are bike and scooter rental places nearby to make it easier to check out all of Key West. We easily walked from the Key Lime Inn to both ends of Duval.  We really loved everything about our stay in Key West and were sad to have to leave.

As an avid diver, I have been participating in Lobster Mini Season for over 15 years.  I was a resident of Key West until 2010. When I moved I still was going to participate in mini season and needed a place to stay. I tried Merlin Guesthouse for a number of reasons: location, price, etc. But I keep returning every year for one reason and that is the staff.  The staff has always gone out of their way to be helpful, friendly, and welcoming. Your staff, especially Linda and now this year Gail, are the reason I keep returning. Next year is already booked as a matter of fact.  Thank you all for making my stays so great.

My fiancée and I spend three wonderful nights at Key Lime Inn as a surprise trip for his 50th birthday.  I have not one complaint about our entire stay.  Our room was the cleanest I have ever experienced in any hotel stay I have ever had.  We did not utilize the maid service the whole time, but obviously they do their jobs very well.  I asked to check out a little later, since our flight was in the afternoon, and the front desk was super nice about it.  Next time I get to Key West, I would definitely book here again, and refer anyone I know traveling there as well.

My friends and I stayed in cottage 21 at the Merlin Guesthouse. From the moment we arrived at the reception check in, hot and dripping with sweat, we were greeted warmly by Linda. She invited us into the AC while she finished with other guests check in. She greeted us and we began our friendship. We were checked in and given directions to our cottage. We opened the door and found beautiful bamboo floors thru out, 2 bedrooms, a nice full bath, living room, kitchen and dining room. We also had a private front porch with seating and an outside dining area with table and chairs.

I met Jordon who quickly became my pal. He loves to lounge around “his” pool and greet guests if they wish to interact.

Later we met Gail who stopped off duty to make sure everything was ok. We had just arrived home as had other guests. Planning a swim in the “cooled” pool Gail noticed there were no pool towels. She brought out a basket of towels for us all. She was extremely pleasant and a joy to talk with as was Linda.

From the time we arrived, to the time we checked out, we continued to be impressed. Our trip to Key West was a last minute decision but we were lucky to get rooms at the Key Lime Inn. When we arrived we were met by your friendly staff and provided maps and information about the island. The vending machine ran out of water and when my brother reported it to the staff, the night manager went out of her way to make sure he had some water.

The rooms were very clean, service was exceptional. The pool was five steps outside my door, couldn’t ask for much closer than that. While the location was not on Mallory or on the beach, it was an ideal location, providing a more intimate setting, yet close enough to everything. We absolutely will be returning and next time might check out one of the other locations on the island.

Checked in for a 1 night stay and wish it had been longer.  The staff was wonderful, the room small but immaculate and the location can’t be beat – walking distance to everything.  Great bonus was the liming hour and nice breakfast by the pool.  Will absolutely choose this place the next time we come to Key West!

Our stay at Cypress House was totally enjoyable. Check-in was easy with Melissa and another helpful woman. As we were unloading our luggage, we heard at least 3 conch train guides explain that the Cypress House is made out of Dade County pine. Room 2 had a charm from the original late 1800 era as well as upgrades to the bathroom. One thing that might be helpful would be grab bars in the tub. We walked everywhere including Blue Heaven, Hemingway House, and, of course, the Key West Bight. Jacob and another man gave us new batteries for the TV remote and made check- out easy. The breakfast coffee and food were good and the staff pleasant and helpful. We seriously considered staying another day!

I visited Key West this past July for the first time with my girlfriend. We made reservations online a week previous at the Merlin Guesthouse. The customer service on the phone was the best I have ever experienced. The receptionist’s made our stay relaxing and welcoming from the time we made our reservation until the time we left. Hospitality in a form that I had never experienced before…very professional and knowledgeable about the area as well. They informed us as to where to rent bikes, the best place for a late night dinner, and just about everything we needed to know to get the most out of our trip to Key West. The location is exceptional. Right in the old town and only a block from Duval Street, yet far enough out of the way from all the late night noise. The lighthouse museum is right next door which gives a great view of the island, and the Hemingway house is right across the street. Can’t beat the location!! The room was clean, the pool was clean, complimentary breakfast was delicious, the bar was well kept….not enough good things to say. We will definitely be coming back and will not even think twice about staying anywhere else on the island. As a matter of fact, I have already recommended the Historic Key West Inns hotels to a few friends who have since stayed and loved it as well. Can’t wait to visit again and I hope everyone who plans to get the most out of their Key West vacation will consider staying at with the Historic Key West Inns.
