We had the opportunity to stay in a two bedroom guest cottage @ Merlin Guesthouse!  Our stay from beginning to end was just fabulous.  ALL of the staff that we met were warm and welcoming and always ready to assist with whatever questions we had.  The cottage was sizable and had all amenities: nicely decorated with comfortable beds.  The linens thick, soft, & fluffy!

The outside areas were quaint and quite with enough seating.  Continental breakfast had a broad variety of choices: I personally enjoyed the hard boiled eggs!   The small heated pool surrounded by the perfect number of lounge chairs with pool towels and a variety of tanning lotions available was a delight: as was the cool iced tea available all afternoon poolside!

In summary, our stay with Merlin (and Jordan del Gato, the resident outside cat..) was terrific!  Your guesthouse will certainly be highly recommended to  anyone we know when visiting downtown Key West!

All of the staff were very pleasant and accommodating throughout our stay.  Check in and check out were efficient and smooth (parking on site was a big plus).  The pool area was nice, as were the surrounding sitting areas.  The room was spacious (we were upgraded to a king room) and clean.

We had great service with very nice employees. Nice breakfast by the pool. Very hospitable with parking and even leaving your car for a few more hours after checking out. Room was on the smaller side but very clean and updated.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Chelsea House. My room was comfortable, poolside was relaxing and the hotel was nice and quiet. The location was great, very centralized for things to do in KW. I would definitely stay there again.

Very clean, updated rooms. Equipped with hair dryer and ironing board and iron. Staff was courteous and helpful, ordering our taxis and shuttle to airport, suggesting restaurants, and the best way to get around. We were there for a small wedding , the bride and groom received a bottle of champagne in their room with several cards , hand written from the staff!!  Made their day, nice touch!! Pool area was lovely. Breakfast was continental, would have liked more variety of fruit. Very nice pool area, you were allowed to enjoy your own beverages pool side. (alcohol)

I loved staying at the Chelsea House. I’ve been to the keys many times before but I’ve never stayed in key west. It was a great time! The hotel is beautiful. Our room was very nice and clean. I loved being able to sit outside on the porch at night. I would and already have recomended this hotel to friends and family. Great time!

I have previously stayed at Merlin Guesthouse (twice) and was disappointed when I called for a reservation, only to find out all the rooms were booked. So their booking agent suggested another of their hotels, The Lighthouse Court. My guests and  I loved it!  Our room was a deluxe room with two queen beds and a mini kitchen (sink, fridge, cabinets, microwave). The room was roomy, light and airy and immaculate!  Two large windows with wood blinds for privacy overlooked the pool courtyard.  We really liked the private sitting area right outside our door surrounded by a garden. We ate our breakfast there. We enjoyed bananas, oranges, muffins, bagels, yogurt, coffee and o.j. ! There was a sweet black kitty cat that befriended us and even stayed over night. We named him Francis!

The location was perfect, right across from the Hemingway House which was one our favorite attractions being English teachers.  I am so glad to have had the pleasure of staying here and hope to get that 3 night free stay! Living just north on I-75 in Sarasota I would love to head south again soon!

Respectfully submitted,

Lynn Dinyes

Lima was very helpful with suggestions for activities and even made reservations for us!

Our room did not have a closet and the “wall hooks” for our clothes were inadequate.  I would suggest at least providing 2 luggage racks so we could both live out of our suitcases in lieu of closets.

Chilled wine glasses were a nice touch! Breakfast at the pool was good.  We also enjoyed the peaceful serenity at the pool.
