My husband and I stayed in Key West for the first time in August, 2014.  We knew it would be hot but we wanted to get away and the Cypress House was just what we needed.  Check-in was simple and quick and Kelly was extremely helpful.  He showed us around the facility and told us some great places to make sure and visit.  Our room was quiet and comfortable. Breakfast by the pool was great every morning.  We will definitely visit again!

My wife and I love the Lighthouse Court! Hard to know where to start but everything was great: the room was clean and comfortable, (thanks for installing a little fridge and a safe) and when we did express a minor  complaint, it was fixed within the hour!.  The staff is wonderful, always a smile or a pleasant comment and we were surprised to return to our room after the first day out on Duval to find everything fresh and re-supplied.

When my wife asked how I’d slept I told her “the best nights sleep ….in years!” When she asked the staff about the brand of the ‘magic mattress’ in our room, they wasted no time in finding the brand name for her.

Now that we’re back home, we still miss the wonderful continental breakfast out by the pool. Loved those peach yogurts, the endless coffee and the ham croissants.  Our fellow guests were interesting too – we met an Italian couple we are now E-mailing and friend-ing on Facebook.

Overall, a really nice and relaxing time, quiet and relaxing but so close to the galleries, shops and live music on Duval Street. Thank you! We’ll be back!

Super friendly and helpful staff, great location, super clean, great breakfast, great off-street parking (very important, we have a Corvette). Room was small (larger ones are available) but very comfortable and cozy. A village within a village. Only complaint: the pool was hot, but I guess you can’t change the FL weather in August.

Thank you for a great stay.

We stayied at the Merlin Guesthouse just for one night, and the overall quality of the hotel was excellent. Only the breakfast was not as satisfying while the rooms were huge and with fine furniture as well as clean.

We were very impressed with the hotel. The staff was all very friendly and accommodating. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay.  We will definitely be back!

Just loved the hotel and our stay there – I stayed in 7 different hotels on my crazy Florida trip and this is one of my favourites!

Front desk staff were particularly nice, friendly, informative.

Location – wonderful.  Although it might be nice to mark on the map good spots for sunrise/sunset as so many of the viewpoints are private property, which is a bit of a pain especially for sunrise.   I kept walking down to the shore, but as you can’t walk around the shoreline it got a bit frustrating.

The only real negative I have is that the little shelf in the shower made it annoying as everything kept dropping off – so it would be nice to maybe have a bigger stick on shower shelf for shower gel and shampoo.  Another annoying thing is that (please remember this was the end of the trip!) I didn’t realise the conditioner was conditioner as it is in a slightly different bottle – I thought it was another body lotion, so it was only as I was leaving I saw that.  Perhaps you could put the shower gel, shampoo and conditioner in the shower area on a shelf so things are easier.

Also, I HATE powdered creamer in my coffee so went to CVS to get fresh milk for the morning, and then you had the Hershey’s milk at breakfast.  Maybe you could put one of these in each fridge so you can do away with the plastic packets of creamer.  I also like real mugs – maybe you could have proper cups with your logo on and say if we want to take them just add it to your room charge.  Some hotels do leave products you can take and they just charge – maybe you could even leave some of that Key West Aloe in there – perfect for sun burn!

Thank you for a wonderful stay!

All the best, Pearl

The hotel staff was some of the most helpful staff I ever met. They were willing to answer all of my sometimes insanely repetitive questions. I had a great time in my one night there because of the staff’s uber-useful information.

Thank you!

We were so delighted to stay at the Key Lime Inn, as we love boutique hotels and we love Key West.  We have stayed at the Marquesa previously, but found that the price of the Key Lime Inn was about $100 cheaper – so we decided to try it.  We were given room 26 which was in the corner and offered a private patio area that was screen with lush tropical foliage.  We had absolutely NO road noise.  The staff was accommodating, and we couldn’t find anything to complain about except that the room safe was too small to accommodate all of our electronic gear, including our tablet computer.  That was it!  My husband loved the coffee.  We did not partake of the continental breakfast, as we have so many favorite breakfast places in Key West.  We will definitely come here again.

We stayed 5 nights at the Cypress House.  From the moment we checked in, we felt welcomed and at home.  The room was exceptionally clean!  The bedding was comfy.  Our front porch was a great place to chill and people watch. The pool was long enough to do a few laps! It was nice to eat breakfast by the pool.  Liming hour was a fun time to socialize with other guests.  Scott was so friendly and helpful, and he gave great recommendations for places to eat and visit.  The location was perfect. We did wish that smoking was not permitted by the pool.  A few times we left sooner than we wanted because someone lit up beside us. Our favorite Key Lime Pie was Matthesons.   Sloppy Joe’s was nonsmoking :).  Duettos pizza and gelato was yummy. Namaste sailing and snorkeling charter was a blast.  Pro fishing guide, Captain Kyle, made our day fishing a success!  So many things to do, but Cypress House was a great place to unwind and do nothing!

My stay at the Albury Court was pleasent. The room was very well kept up and the staff was very nice. The only problem I encountered was the noise above the room, I could here people’s foot steps all night and the distance from to Duval was quite far. I’ve stayed at a few of the Historic Key West Inns hotels and my favorite by far is the Key Lime Inn.
