quaint little place close enough to the action but far enough off the path for quiet

We loved the staff at the Cypress House.  Dennis was especially helpful and pleasant but everyone was very nice.  We loved kidding around with him.  He went above and beyond to do anything necessary.  Check in was a breeze and our flight was early but we were able to check in because our room was ready.

Breakfast was certainly adequate and the breakfast area inside was clean and eating outside was lovely. (You may want to consider making something without pork products.  Every breakfast item that was hot while we were there either had sausage or ham and I am allergic to pork products, so it was cereal and toast for me.)

We loved the pool and the chairs were comfortable. Our room was certainly nice, spacious and very clean.  The shower was wonderful and huge.  Our floors, however, were Very Noisy.  They really need to be ripped up and re-installed or just sand the original floors underneath and use them.  The right side of the bed was noisy as well. It creaked and just sounded broken.  The air conditioner was impossible to use at night since it is right next to the bed.  It was very loud.

I know that the problems with the room, were just ours because we had friends and relatives that stayed there as well and they did not encounter the problems we had in their rooms.

I would suggest having a computer for guest use.  The front desk was not able to print out our boarding passes and that became an issue for us at the airport.  I would have just rather take care of it myself on a computer then I can review the information and make sure everything is correct and print out my boarding passes myself.  This is actually the only B & B that we have stayed at where there wasn’t a computer available for guests to use and we have stayed at a lot of B & B’s.

I would definitely stay with you again at the Cypress House as I said there were a lot of pluses.  However, I would definitely request a different room.

Thanks for your hospitality.

We were great at check-in with warm friendly smiles.  Our clean and well-appointed room had a spacious king with a couch and large bathroom.  The local is great, just off Duval and mid way between Mallory and the Atlantic.  The staff was very friendly.  You can see that the place is well managed.  Great place with parking and breakfast included.  Would highly recommend.

We recently visited Key West for our 3rd Anniversary. We loved the island and our stay at the Lighthouse Court was perfect. We wanted a more authentic Key West place to stay instead of a hotel or resort. The Lighthouse Court Hotel delivered, and they even left a chilled bottle of champagne in the room for our anniversary! Although the rooms are small, they are clean and the property is well taken care of. The staff was extremely friendly and were very accommodating, even when we arrived near midnight thanks to delayed flights. I would highly recommend the Historic Key West Inns hotels if you are planning a visit. You won’t be disappointed.

My husband and I stayed at the Merlin Guesthouse with the recommendation from our friends Mitchell Gallaher and his wife. The rooms were very clean. We stayed in the economy queen room. It was small but adequate for us. The complementary continental breakfast was great, better than most. The housekeeping staff, and front desk staff were very nice and friendly. Loved the cat hanging around. Being on vacation away from my animals, the cat was a nice comfort to see and pat. The grounds were beautiful. I will definitely stay here the next time I visit Key West.

We really enjoyed our stay.   The location was fabulous.    -Steps from the heart of Key West and yet it was quiet, peaceful and relaxing.   Hope to return!

I cannot tell you how much we loved our stay at Key Lime Inn! From the first phone call to the day we left the customer service was top notch. We stayed in Duck Key at a plush 2 story villa with kitchen an living room on our way down to Key West. And we liked the quaint little cottage “shed” we called it, way better. They even placed a bottle of champagne in our room since I had told them it was for my husbands 40th birthday! What a nice surprise! Breakfast was just enough. Can’t believe how quiet it was. There was so much foliage it was like an oasis! Definitely recommend it.
