I surprised my wife with a trip to see Ernest Hemingway’s house for Christmas and picked the Lighthouse Court Hotel for its location to the museum. Once we arrived and stayed at the hotel we realized that not only is this a great location for the museum but for anything you are going to do in Key West, it is very close to Duval Street yet not noisy or hectic at night. Not only is this a prime location but they have a nice outdoor pool with a bar that runs great specials for a few nightcaps or to get your night going. The staff was super friendly and helped with any questions we had on our stay, they even let us park the car earlier than our check-in time so we can go explore without worrying about parking. I would highly recommend this hotel and anytime we are in Key West this is our spot!

I had a wonderful experience in Key West for my first Half-marathon and I plan to be back next year!

The Key Lime Inn was perfect/ a great experience – taxi took us straight there. The front desk staff were very sweet – I had a great convo with Michelle about nearby juice bar/ cafe.  She made me smile :-)

The entire place seemed very well maintained.  It’s a nice sunny secluded pool area (w/ trees and shrubbery protecting guests from busy Truman St)

…and our room mess perfect. Cozy / compact, but not crowded or confining.  Loved the wood (rather than carpet) floors and the design/ color scheme was fresh/ crisp and modern.  Shower is perfect!  Great water pressure / shower head options.  Bed was perfect / comfy and not sinking or sagging. Everything seemed very clean.  Housekeeping came at our requests / on our schedule rather than theirs …

I loved my stay :)

We returned because we were very pleased with our visit last year (2014).  We stayed an extra day and had cottage 37 – we enjoyed being near the pool.  The room was clean and refreshed every day.  The housekeeping staff were always pleasant and courteous and made sure we were comfortable.  One of the staff at the desk recommended the 915 restaurant and we were very pleased with that recommendation.  We returned to two restaurants – Pisces and Café Marquesa.  Both were exceptional as before.  We also revisited Sarabeth for lunch.  Another restaurant was the Tratatoria on Duval – excellent meal and service.

Only negative comment – the sofa in our room was too large for the room and was not conducive for reading – the one corner was very dark because of no lighting in that area.  Along with the ottoman, it took up a good portion of the room.

We would return for another stay without hesitation and have mentioned it to several friends who might be traveling to Key West.

The boys decided to escape the snow of NYC and head south and I just had to pick Lighthouse Court after having such a pleasant experience at the Cypress House a few years back. I was not disappointed. The staff were helpful and kind and our room was beautiful! We had our own little cottage with two queen beds- one located in a loft. It was perfect for our group of 4. We took advantage of breakfast by the pool almost every morning. Lastly, the hotel was perfectly located for us. Just a block off the main drag and walking distance to everything we wanted to do and see. I would definitely recommend it as a good home base for any traveler. My only suggestion is to have the beach towels replenished in the room each day. Thanks for a lovely trip!

Our 2 night stay at the Lighthouse Court made our first visit to Key West a memorable experience and we plan to return to this pleasant hotel and island.  The Lighthouse is the perfect location for travelers like us who want to park their car and walk to all the sights.  Having Hemingway’s house across the street and the Truman White House 3 blocks away was a real plus and the old downtown was only a couple of blocks further.  The Lighthouse has comfortable rooms and a quiet, peaceful setting among big trees and beautiful landscaping.  Of course, none of the above is important without one of the friendliest and most courteous staff that I have ever encountered.  Great job to all of the personnel at the Lighthouse Court.

Our stay at the Cypress House was very enjoyable.  The room was clean and comfortable.   The location of the property is excellent.   The staff was very friendly and helpful.  One suggestion is to provide coffee for the guests before 7:00 a.m. as currently provided.  A time of 6:00 a.m. would be good for “early risers” like us, or small coffee makers could be provided in the rooms on a case by case basis.  We will definitely stay at your hotel again.

This was our second time at the Key Lime Inn and we felt totally like family (without the dysfunction!!). Clement came right out to greet us and help us settle in. The office staff could not have been more pleasant and helpful. I apologize for not recalling all their names, but all deserve high praise. The gal in charge of breakfast almost  “invisibly” saw to all of our needs. Our room was charming and the daily clean- up crew kept it looking like the day we arrived. I’d like to thank Danielle for being so accommodating. We also really enjoyed the opportunity to meet the other guests poolside. The ambiance was very “Key Westy”  and almost made us feel as though we really lived there for a week rather than being guests.

Our favorite other places include Louie’s Backyard, Seven Fish and Blue Heaven.

Hope to see you next year!

We were pleasantly surprised on our arrival to the hotel.  Staff was extremely friendly and helpful.  The rooms were clean and gave the ‘Key West’ ambience and quaintness of an historic inn, which we enjoyed.  Loved the location – walking distance to Duval, beaches, restaurants, shopping. We would definitely stay there again and recommend to friends and family.  We would like to have the bar area open a little later than 6 PM – even an hour later would be good.

My wife and I stayed at the Cypress House on January 28th and 29th. This was our first foray to Key West. Though the house was historic, our room was very nice and large. The bed was awesome. My wife said it was the best night’s sleep she has had for a long time. We very much enjoyed our time around the pool both during the evening happy hour and breakfast time. The breakfast was very nice. The employees were very helpful and accommodating. We would definitely stay there again, when we come back to Key West!
