We stayed at the Merlin Guest House only 2 blocks off Duval, centrally located from Southernmost point to Mallory square.

It was a girls weekend, 4 of us and we booked 2 rooms. They put us side by side rooms. We had a connecting door to each others room, which was great. We just kept the door open so we can go in and out of both rooms.

Rooms: They were spacious and very clean. I was worried about having one air conditioning, since it was mid September, but that little thing cooled the room nicely. I really surprised about the room size and so glad we did not go with a resort stay.

The place had complimentary breakfast, cereal, local bagels, muffins, fruits and more. In the afternoon they served ice tea by pool. The pool is small but we didn’t mind, it was great to be in and sunbath for a bit.

Location: Like I said, location, location, location! It was perfect, we walked everywhere. The Merlin Guest House is right In the middle of everything. No need for car.

All in all, we would definitely stay here again. I would like to check out their other properties as well. But knowing where Merlin’s rooms and location are, it’s hard not to resist on coming back to this location.

Thank you

Staying at this hotel was the best decision I have ever made.  I visit Key West a few times a year and have alway stayed at a chain hotel across the island, the Lighthouse Court Hotel is in a great location a few blocks off Duval, close to the Southernmost Point and walking distance to everything you could want to see. It was a great price and we saved money on not taking taxis and other transportation. The staff was friendly, room and grounds were clean. This was the most relaxing vacation I have had in years!!! I will never stay anywhere else again in Key West.

We visit KW every 6-8 wks and have always stayed in the big hotels (we have freq guest points + we are timeshare owners at a few), but our new favorite place to stay is the Cypress House Hotel.

First, we actually felt like we were on a vacation, relaxed, no pressure, mellow, chilled… you (we) never get that feeling at the other hotels.

Second the service and people were OUTSTANDING.. above and beyond the call… They presented a great breakfast and had a wonderful afternoon happy hour event. Top notch. Great directions/suggestions. They were cooks/front desk/concierge and more all rolled into each person.

Third, the site and house was amazing. Coming from the New England area, we love these old houses, the history, the feel. We loved the floors, the walls, the décor. Was not that sterile feel you sometimes get from big hotels.

The location is prime! Quick walks to the marina area, Duval Street, Malloy Square. There is no parking (garage a couple blocks away and they give discount rate passes) but that is not a problem if you are going to walk everyplace anyway.

We can not say enough great things about the Cypress House Hotel. If there was ANY negative it is that there are no point(s) system(s) (earning stays etc). We tend to maximize our ROI for each stay/trip/airplane ride and points would be the icing. I can not even say it was a negative to have the internet out in our room (a switch error just in our room) for our stay…made us put away the gadgets and just enjoy.

We look forward to returning very soon.

We stayed at the Cypress House this last weekend.  The room was beautiful and very quiet.  If I needed anything it was delivered right away.  Breakfast was nice.  Best of all, the location couldn’t have been better.  I would highly recommend the Cypress House Hotel to anyone.  Thank you for making our stay memorable.

Very nice hotel, all the staff was courteous and helpful. When we checked-in, the person checking us in was very helpful, gave us a lot of information and attractions to see, he took as much time as we wanted and did not rush us ( sorry I did not get his name). The room was clean and updated better than expected!
We had a great stay in Key West and would stay in Lighthouse Court Hotel again.

What a beautiful hidden gem in Key West.  The staff was so nice, especially Scott! Clean, well kept rooms that were modern, a bit too modern as I was wanting more of the older charm to show my boyfriend how awesome the place is.  I have stayed here before and had a really neat room in the main building with a big four posted bed.  That room was amazing and will forever be in my memory!  Still, every time I come, I like to stay here because it is so nice.  A bit pricey, but worth staying at least once to experience this history-rich, cozy hotel.   We will be back, hopefully for a “winning” 3 night stay!!!!!!

This the second Historic Key West Inns hotel that I’ve stayed at in the last 6 months – will definitely be working my way through the other four properties if the customer service  carries through. Stayed at the Albury Court Hotel location as I took the ferry to KW instead of driving down.

Check in was easy and friendly – great dining recommendations for the Conch Republic that was still running their wine and dine special. Had a small plumbing issue after hours on my second night – called the night manager – Samantha – was there in under 15 minutes and when she couldn’t immediately resolve the issue helped me transfer to another room in minutes so I wouldn’t be affected.

Both hotels I have stayed in were impeccably clean and tidy.

Morning breakfast is simple and well presented and fresh.

Staff is always friendly and helpful.

Overall another successful and pleasant visit at their Historic Key West Inns hotel.

We had our best stay in Key West at the Key Lime Inn. It was close to all the night life, restaurants and attractions. The hotel was quaint and cozy. Breakfast at the pool was a perfect way to start each day and our room was quiet. The entire staff was so friendly. We can’t wait to return to the hotel on our next visit.
