We picked this hotel based on price and the reviews we read. I thought this place was excellent, and we’ll absolutely stay there again.

It’s a block off the near midpoint of Duval, next to the Lighthouse Museum and across the street from the Hemingway House. You would think it would be noisy, but it’s incredibly quiet. There’s a very nice pool, a cafe/bar with friendly staff, and plenty of tables and chairs around the pool and deck. We had lots of mojito’s there, thanks Peter!

There’s a really nice lawn spot with cornhole games set up in the back under the shade of a huge tree and the old Lighthouse that we enjoyed quite a bit. Breakfast is a small buffet, out on the pool deck, and the staff was incredibly friendly. There’s also free parking out back, which was a very welcome surprise. Leave your car there, and you won’t need it the whole time you’re in Key West. The staff recommended, and got us, bikes to rent which is the best way to get to see lots more of the town.  Thanks for a great stay.

We spent four nights here last week along with a group of friends in Key West for a wedding at the Ernest Hemingway House. That is just across the street – very handy. Our room – B7 – was modern, clean and well appointed. We were just off the pool area but not bothered at all by noise or such. Each morning, a nice but simple breakfast was provided. The sitting area around the pool was very nice. Best of all, the location! A one-block walk to Duval Street, Old Town Trolley is just down the street also. We enjoyed that.

Great staff! Rose at the front desk was just as nice in person as she had been on the phone when I made our reservations. Jeremiah, also from the front desk, helped show us how to work our in-room safe! All in all, if I were going back to Key West I would very probably stay at the Lighthouse Court again.

This was our second time that we stayed at the Lighthouse Court. The front desk staff are awesome and always willing to help with what you are looking for. Peter and Geoff at the bar take care of all you drinking needs, and food snacks. Room was wonderful and the hotel location is the best as it is a block off Duval and in the center of town. Everything you want is in walking distance. If your driving they have limited parking for guests, but traveling during Fantasy Fest driving and parking are very hard. We got bikes this year, and that is the way to go. We are already booked for next year!!! We will be back.

This was our sixth stay at the Key Lime Inn. We have never had any issues which were not immediately taken care of.

The location is great. You are about two blocks off of Duval, but far enough away to make it very secluded and private. There is a free parking lot and if that is full, you can park at their other properties which are immediately adjoining on Truman. There is also free on-street parking across the street. Probably about a 15 minute stroll to Mallory Square from the hotel.

The rooms are very clean and if you tend to sleep in like we do, they have late housekeeping available. This year we were happy to find a Keurig in the room and the wine refrigerator was replaced with a real fridge so you can keep your beverages cold. We always stay in the same room with is large and had a nice sized bathroom with a huge shower. Our room (#4) also has a small patio. Our room has a central AC unit which works great.

The staff are great. Period. When we checked out we were asked if there was anything they could improve on, etc. Very personal service.

Breakfast – I have seen numerous comments complaining about the complimentary breakfast. I don’t get it. This is not a Hampton Inn or similar. The breakfast is nice if that is what you are looking for. Coffee, tea, juices, muffins, bagels, fruit, cereal, etc. No, there is no omelet station, but there are a ton of full service restaurants within 5 minutes if that is what you are looking for.

My only negative is the room (at least ours) could use some minor maintenance like painting, etc. WiFi is strongest when  you are close to the office.

Overall, we love this place and will be back!

We loved our stay at the Key Lime Inn. The room was decorated very nicely. We had a sectional with tv on one side of room and nice, comfortable king-size bed on other. There was a refrigerator in the bathroom that came in handy. We were able to walk to Duval Street which was only two blocks away. There was a beautiful Catholic Church right across the street. They served a small continental breakfast by the pool each morning, not lots of choices but fine to get our day started. We would definitely stay there again.

We had an excellent stay. The check-in process was accomodating. We arrived early, and as promised by the front desk, our room was cleaned next and while we were at lunch, we were called to let us know our room was ready.

We stayed on the ground floor and loved having the veranda. The trees and bushes provided us more privacy than we expected and did an excellent job muting out the street noise. Our close friends came in a day after we did, and were originally upstairs over us, but the front desk was kind enough to move them downstairs so that we could easily sit on the verandah together and easily visit and coordinate our time together.

My only ‘recommendation’ would be to not include meat (and it was always pork) with the egg dishes every morning. It makes it difficult for those of us who either don’t eat pork or don’t eat meat to have protein (eggs) in the morning.

Otherwise, it was a wonderful stay with accomodating and pleasent staff. We would not only stay at the Cypress House again, we would highly recommend it to our friends.

Thank you for your commitment to quality – it shows.

We have stayed at Key West before, and will continue to come back and recommend it to others without hesitation.  Michaela, Gaby, Scott, and the rest of the staff go out of their way to make our stay as wonderful as possible.  We  have had several positive experiences with Michaela, prior, but on this trip, meet Gaby and Scott, and they continued her fabulous service and attention to detail.  We live in South Florida for nearly 30 years, and visit Key West 2-3 times a year, and love talking with them about the restaurants around, and whats new, and what we found.  We share info with them as well as them giving us ideas.

We have stayed in room 37 for the past 2 visits, and this time it was upgraded with new furniture.  All was great, except the weed platform closest to the a/c needs to be rounded or covered with something soft, as it it a tight squeeze, and easy to bang in the night.

Your Inn is a gem, and we wouldn’t stay anywhere else, especially knowing you are able to retain your staff.  That means a lot to us.

Thank you.

Regards,

Lillian & Ed Carifio

The hotel was wonderful. There was a small pool and garden, couches, tables and chairs, and a pair of lounge chairs so we could relax outside too.

We were really surprised, and happy, when they gave us an upgraded room. The room was comfortable, clean and had a modern design. The bathroom and bed were comfortable.

The hotel has some additional services. Continental breakfast and an evening small cocktail ‘Liming’ hour were included. We had them on outside tables by the pool. That was nice. I loved the Margarita and was happy to see they had a different cocktail each night.

About the  location, the harbour area and a lively Duval Street, which is lined with plenty of eateries, is a couple of minutes walking distance away.

We spent 5 days here and were extremely pleased. Our guest room was in the main house and was good size, charming and tastefully decorated. Chris & Scott, managers, were very knowledgeable and you feel like family with all of the employees here. Breakfast is different each day with a good variety. 5 pm snacks are different each day and very tasty. The cocktails change daily–sangria, rum punch, marguerites. This B&B is very close to Duval St. The outside pool area is nicely tropical and all is well kept.

This was our fourth visit to Chelsea House, each time we reserved a king room and are very happy with our stay! This year they remodeled our room and it was great! B & B’s in Key West are mostly very old homes that have been converted. They need restored (again), rooms and pluming added into a smaller older era, property lines defined and landscaping. Chelsea House has done a very good job with all these things without loosing the original charm! The room we always come back to was improved but still has a quirky shower door opening, funky knobs on the dresser and the ac was a little weak, on the other hand, the wood floors were new, power outlets everywhere for electronics, new tile, toilet and vanity station!

We just love walking out of the french doors onto a too small old porch, but hey!, you just can’t get that with the new five star places! The people there are quite friendly but will also respect your peace & quiet and seem to know what mood you’re in. One thing you do get that is hard to come by in KW is parking! Free parking! The area does require some bit of walking to better attractions but there are some real gems and better shopping nearby, also near gay or stripper bars. Not to worry, the area does seem to be safe enough location and we never had a problem there! In Key West we have stayed at the $600.00 night waterfront – to the small B&B with no parking or balcony / porch.

For us, Chelsea House fits the bill! Do your research and find the room that suits you, the staff will mail you a layout map of the rooms and you can choose the one that suits you.
