We have stayed at Key West before, and will continue to come back and recommend it to others without hesitation.  Michaela, Gaby, Scott, and the rest of the staff go out of their way to make our stay as wonderful as possible.  We  have had several positive experiences with Michaela, prior, but on this trip, meet Gaby and Scott, and they continued her fabulous service and attention to detail.  We live in South Florida for nearly 30 years, and visit Key West 2-3 times a year, and love talking with them about the restaurants around, and whats new, and what we found.  We share info with them as well as them giving us ideas.

We have stayed in room 37 for the past 2 visits, and this time it was upgraded with new furniture.  All was great, except the weed platform closest to the a/c needs to be rounded or covered with something soft, as it it a tight squeeze, and easy to bang in the night.

Your Inn is a gem, and we wouldn’t stay anywhere else, especially knowing you are able to retain your staff.  That means a lot to us.

Thank you.

Regards,

Lillian & Ed Carifio

The hotel was wonderful. There was a small pool and garden, couches, tables and chairs, and a pair of lounge chairs so we could relax outside too.

We were really surprised, and happy, when they gave us an upgraded room. The room was comfortable, clean and had a modern design. The bathroom and bed were comfortable.

The hotel has some additional services. Continental breakfast and an evening small cocktail ‘Liming’ hour were included. We had them on outside tables by the pool. That was nice. I loved the Margarita and was happy to see they had a different cocktail each night.

About the  location, the harbour area and a lively Duval Street, which is lined with plenty of eateries, is a couple of minutes walking distance away.

We spent 5 days here and were extremely pleased. Our guest room was in the main house and was good size, charming and tastefully decorated. Chris & Scott, managers, were very knowledgeable and you feel like family with all of the employees here. Breakfast is different each day with a good variety. 5 pm snacks are different each day and very tasty. The cocktails change daily–sangria, rum punch, marguerites. This B&B is very close to Duval St. The outside pool area is nicely tropical and all is well kept.

This was our fourth visit to Chelsea House, each time we reserved a king room and are very happy with our stay! This year they remodeled our room and it was great! B & B’s in Key West are mostly very old homes that have been converted. They need restored (again), rooms and pluming added into a smaller older era, property lines defined and landscaping. Chelsea House has done a very good job with all these things without loosing the original charm! The room we always come back to was improved but still has a quirky shower door opening, funky knobs on the dresser and the ac was a little weak, on the other hand, the wood floors were new, power outlets everywhere for electronics, new tile, toilet and vanity station!

We just love walking out of the french doors onto a too small old porch, but hey!, you just can’t get that with the new five star places! The people there are quite friendly but will also respect your peace & quiet and seem to know what mood you’re in. One thing you do get that is hard to come by in KW is parking! Free parking! The area does require some bit of walking to better attractions but there are some real gems and better shopping nearby, also near gay or stripper bars. Not to worry, the area does seem to be safe enough location and we never had a problem there! In Key West we have stayed at the $600.00 night waterfront – to the small B&B with no parking or balcony / porch.

For us, Chelsea House fits the bill! Do your research and find the room that suits you, the staff will mail you a layout map of the rooms and you can choose the one that suits you.

This is the second time my boyfriend and I have stayed here. The first time we chose the Chelsea House not knowing too much about the island but we had rented a car and we needed a safe place to park it (check!). You can’t ask for a more convenient walk to Duval Street, and yet it’s just far enough away that it’s quiet when you’re ready for a good night’s sleep. Now that we were ready to explore a little more of the island other than Duval Street we realized this really is the perfect location for walking almost anywhere! The pool is beautiful, the staff is friendly, and breakfast is great. Our rooms both times have been a bit small, but we’re not here to spend time in our room so it’s fine. The rooms are clean and modern and perfectly comfortable. We would stay here any trip to Key West and recommend this to any one looking for a place to stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here in October 2013, the check in was really welcoming, even telling us of local places to eat and drink. The room was clean and well presented with an ample sized bathroom. Housekeeping was great, coming in daily. All the staff were friendly and helpful at all times. Breakfast was okay with a good selection of cereals, fruit, yogurts and pastries, which we often took back to our room to eat. The hotel is situated in a quieter part of Key West a few blocked back from Duval Street, don’t let the walk put you off booking this quaint, well looked after hotel it is worth the 10 minute walk to the tourist parts. I would certainly stay here again and have no hesitation in recommending to family and friends. We loved the whole experience.

We loved this cozy hotel in nice area. Our room was comfy and really clean. The breakfast is served by the pool and it’s nice. Tea and water and candies are in the lobby. Staff was friendly and helpful. Short walk to Duval street. Recommended.

We have stayed at Key Lime Inn twice this year and each time it had been wonderful. I can’t say enough about the professionalism of your staff-particularly your front desk staff.  They are friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. They have obviously been well trained and are dedicated to the concept of hospitality. We try to get to Key West at least once a week and would not stay anywhere else. The property is beautiful, the rooms are nice and breakfast is enjoyable. However it is your staff that defines the personality of your inn.
