The Cypress House was conveniently located to the central Key West shops and bars.  Upon our arrival, the staff was pleasant and accommodating.  The atmosphere was warm and relaxed. The breakfast was delicious, the rooms were clean, and we had a bottle of champagne waiting for us in the room.  I completely forgot that I must have told someone it was our 20th wedding anniversary when I booked the room.  The attention to detail was much appreciated!

Coming from the land of ice and snow (Canada), we found the Merlin Guesthouse to be a friendly tropical oasis in the centre of downtown Key West. The staff recommended just the right attractions for us – ocean kayaking,  cycling, and the best places for local seafood (our favourite being the cafe across the street). Breakfast in the garden by the koi pond and a dip in the pool before dinner – we’ll definitely return.

Staying at Lighthouse Court was such a joy.  We were greeted with convenience and hospitality immediately upon our arrival- due to plane delays, etc, we ended up arriving in Key West at 4am!  However, the staff at Lighthouse Court was there to greet us with our room key.  Every staff member is helpful and friendly.  The rooms are not only clean and modernized, but quite quaint!

Every aspect of our stay was easy and enjoyable.  Definitely recommend staying here, and will definitely return!  Right across the street from The Hemingway Home, and just a block from Duval Street, it’s in the perfect location.  If this is your first time in Key West, definitely stay at the Lighthouse Court, it will make your trip memorable and that much more enjoyable.

My (now) Husband and I recently stayed here in the Hemingway Suite and had a wonderful weekend.  The location is perfect for everything you could ever want to do.  The suite was beautiful and served as a meeting spot for family and friends who were also visiting the island. We ended up staying an extra night because of a flight cancelation due to snow at home and the staff easily accommodated us for another night.  Some family staying in smaller rooms were a little less happy with their accommodations as we were with our suite but this was my third stay at the Lighthouse Court and I have been pleased every time.

We travel to Key West every January for a quick relaxing escape from the NYC winters.

This was our first stay at the Cypress House and we are sure to be back! The staff was really kind to us…I travelled there a day ahead of my boyfriend who arrived from work in Miami and I got to the hotel a few hours early, but the staff was glad to hold by bags for me while I went out to grab a bite. They called me as soon as my room was ready and even had my luggage waiting in my room for me when I got back.

The room was really nice and very clean and a comfortable size with a nice mix of the old and the new.

Morning breakfast was a great way to start the day in a very nice outdoor setting with a good variety of eating options.

The location was central to all we wanted… Basically the triangle made by Pepe’s, Mallory Square and the Hemingway House.

On the day we had to leave we were on a later flight so we had some time to kill.  The staff again allowed us to keep our bags in the lobby while we enjoyed our last few hours in paradise.  After our last stroll down Duval St. we spent our last hour or so lounging by the pool enjoying a little sun and couldn’t imagine the “snowpocalypse” we were returning to.

Would recommend to anyone for a true Key West experience.

See you next year!

We are so happy to have found this property for our stay in Key West.  As a remodeled historic house, it serves the “old town” well.  The location is perfect for walking Duval Street from end to end as well as exploring Whitehead Street, the Key West Cemetary, and other local sites.  We were especially thankful to have the help of Lyenna who not only make the check in/check out process go smoothly, she also gave us recommendations for eating, sightseeing, and patiently marked our areas of interest on the local map.

Our cozy room was located on the second floor, with access to the front porch.  What a great place for watching people and traffic, yet it was not noisy when we wished quiet.  All the necessary amenities were there.  Continental breakfast was served in a poolside manner with plenty of great hot coffee! Linda is a great hostess there!

We already have recommended this place to friends who wish to visit from Italy.  I hope they take us up on it!  We hope to return as well.

Hi,

I stayed in Lighthouse Court on Feb02 one night, the place is very quiet and with peace. It’s right across the Hemingway house, very close to major views of the key west. I like the hotel buildings, the house roof is very high, very traditional, very beautiful. The pool water is cold, I cannot take a swim which did not meet my expectation. The breakfast is good with hot coffee and pastry, but no bacon, my son would like to take meat with food. In general, the stay there is very good, the reception is very warm. There’s a parking lot behind the house, the reception had a view of the backyard, it’s very safe.

On our first visit to key west I had a very enjoyable time. the room (J2) was small but clean. the staff was very professional and friendly. check in was a breeze. breakfast was more than we expected. location was great! close enough to walk everywhere, but far enough away that it was quiet. only thing I could suggest may be some hooks on the wall to hang clothes after taking them out of our suitcases. (there was no closet) would recommend Lighthouse Court to a friend!!. thank you!

We had never been to Key West before so this was an entirely new experience and adventure for us. We love to travel so coming to the Keys was great. We traveled to the Keys for our grandson’s wedding which was held at the Hemingway Home just across the road from Lighthouse Court.  Perfect hotel location!

We found everyone upon arrival until we left to be friendly, very helpful and courteous in every respect. When we needed a cab it arrived quickly…much to our surprise and delight!  Easy walking distance to Duval Street where we found many of Key West’s treasures.

We loved the tropical and casual atmosphere. The room we had was nicely appointed and the beds were super comfortable.  We slept like babies each of the 3 nights we were there.

So thank you for making the Historic Key West Inns a place where one can come, relax and enjoy the Florida sunshine.  We want to return!

Regards,

Barbara & Ernie Sines
