Overall a great stay. The room was beautifully kept and clean with a lovely outdoor sitting area at the back. Great location, everywhere within walking distance and the onsite parking was very handy instead of hunting for a space on the street. The ladies at check in were great and very helpful.

The buffet breakfast was good. The only drawback for me was that if you went to breakfast before 9am there were no tables to sit at as they were all taken. We had to sit on a sunlounger and hunch over a small drinks table to eat breakfast one day.

Overall a fab stay, we will be back :)

My husband and I and another couple stayed 4 nights at the Cypress House Hotel last week.  The staff were wonderful from check-in to check-out.  The hotel was lovely and the location was perfect.  Close enough to walk to everything but on a quiet street and a great place to come back to in between all of the sightseeing and festivities. We will definitely return for another visit.

2 night stay, all staff very cordial, the hotel, a little oasis from the hustle and bustle, not that far to walk to Duval St. Great atmosphere for relaxing , breakfast menu sufficient, eating al fresco very enjoyable.

negatives, king bed would have been better, exhaust fan on when shower light on, more lighting in room over all.

We have spent only one day at the hotel but we enjoyed immensely. Hotel was very clean, updated and staff was super nice and welcoming. They gave us information on events, things to see and discount coupons for the train.

In the morning, breakfast was served next to the pool and consisted of boiled eggs, local bagels, muffins, cream cheese, milk, cereal, fruits, juices and coffee.

Highly recommended.

What can I say about the Lighthouse Court Hotel that has not already been said? The place is great. Our room was small and clean. (What more do u need?)The staff was outstanding and I could not have picked a better place for our stay in Key West. I would definitely stay here again. If you are surfing the web as I was, looking for a hotel in old town near everything, look no no further. This place is old school in a good way. From the poolside mojito’s to the continental breakfast outside, we have no complaints.

We stayed in one of their cute cottages. Clean and well maintained, friendly and accommodating staff, excellent location, would stay there again.

We spent 4 days and 3 nights at Merlin Guest House.  It could not have been better.  The staff were helpful and friendly.  The room was spacious and extremely clean.  The location was a block from Duval.  We could not have asked for more.

The location is prime and quiet. A little haven set away from Duval and any loudness. Duval is certainly in walking distance though as we frequented Mallory square many times and walked all the way.
We stayed as a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 teens. We were in J1. I recommend this room because it is a suite with 2 queen beds, a fridge, sink and a bathroom with a shower head on both ends–could fit 3 people in the shower if needed! This cottage was set next to the pool but it was not loud at all, it had it’s own patio table and chairs and a gate that closed you off with some privacy.

The main desk was very helpful showing where everything was at the hotel (Hubert). They recommended where to go . They offered to call the bike place to drop off bikes if we wanted to rent some. The southernmost point buoy is VERY close to walk to. The Hemingway House is across the street, not to mention a cute bevy of cats that roam the walls and peek through the gates. The 6 toed cat café is catty-cornered from the hotel (great breakfast).
The hotel has many cabanas or small houses-some with porches. It is clean and organized. It is located next to the Lighthouse Museum on the island.
The pool bar had good frozen drinks. The pool is ample, there were never too many people in it. It has a max of 10. A lot of times we were the only ones there. They have complimentary sunscreen and towels at the pool.

We had leftovers from dinner and were able to heat up and eat as a snack the next day thanks to the hotel lending us plates and forks.
Unfotunatley we had to leave! But when we did, they arranged to keep our luggage until our flight (Jim-also very helpful). We were still able to use the pool if we wanted to, but we ended up walking to the oldest house and saw the small museum.
We did take a taxi back to the hotel sometimes, as we were exhausted from walking everywhere (like the dry tortugas trip), but it was great. From the airport it is $9 a person, in town it was $3.50 a person.
I would highly recommend this hotel. The only issue which it was miniscule would be the air conditioning noise, but I fell asleep so fast after my days of full activities.
We would come back here! This is the location! Friendly, Clean and Great LOCATION!
