We stayed in your hotel during fantasy fest. Our room was very nice, we had enough space, it was always clean and the staff was very friendly and open-minded. The hotel is located in the middle of the town – you don´t need any busses or taxis to go to the city. We enjoyed our stay very much and we will come back as soon as possible – maybe fantasy fest 2015 ;-)

Thank you …

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Chelsea House – our room was comfortable and clean with just a couple of caveats (toilet paper holder dangling off wall and ceiling fan needed cleaning) but both were easy fixes. Everyone on staff was super nice. Whether it was a cleaning person, maintenance, concierge or desk staff all had a cheerful hello and willing to answer any questions. The European woman at the desk when we arrived and departed was particularly kind, knowledgeable and so obviously proud to be a part of the organization. If she has not been recognized, please do – she’s a true asset. Next time, and there will be a next time, we plan to try one of the other properties, perhaps Key Lime Inn which looked utterly charming.

As for dining we enjoyed, Off The Hook, a Caribbean/Latin restaurant in an old garage and Mam’s which had great sandwiches.

All around great vacation.

We were walk-up customers and very glad we found the Key Lime Inn. The place is very attractive and looks very old, historic Key West architecture with lots of palm trees around the grounds. There was a good sized iguana that was hanging out in a tree watching people come and go by reception. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the really clean and refreshing pool. Breakfast had plenty of choices. Our room was comfortable and quiet. Duval St. was only a few blocks away so we were able to walk to restaurants we were very happy with and shopping as well.

Reservations, check-in, and check-out couldn’t have been more pleasant and easy. Each room was unique, clean, and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the vintage furnishings, public areas, pool, and semi-tropical vegetation. The patio breakfast was relaxing and enjoyable. The Chelsea’s quiet and relaxing location is only a few blocks from the activity on Duval St. and other Key West attractions.  This was our first visit to Key West and we enjoyed our stay so much that we recommended the Chelsea House to our sister, who has since made reservations for next February.

We stayed for 6 nights in room 4 which is located close to the pool. The room was absolutely adorable. The space was  sufficient as was the bathroom. It was clean and nicely equipped. The breakfast is outside at the pool area, when the hotel is fully booked you maybe have to wait a bit for a free table but that just happened once in 6 days and we didn’t mind waiting. The breakfast is really nice. Fresh bread, muffins, bagels and local croissants as well as different cereals and fresh fruits. And of course coffee and fresh orange juice. We really liked it!

The staff is super friendly. We had some wishes for the room, they replied immediately via email and we also got the room we wanted! We had a absolutely great vacation in Key West and we will come back for sure!! And if the Albury Court has availabilities we will book our next stay there again! Thank you for great memories.

This was the third time that my wife, Tracy, and I stayed at the Merlin Guesthouse. We like the coziness of the Merlin. The staff was responsive to our needs. Linda, Kenneth, and Lee were always able to help when we asked for help with a reservation for a cruise or to get some extra coffee. We spent a few afternoons lounging by the pool – the complimentary ice tea was a very nice extra touch!

We also like the Merlin’s location. We were just a short bike ride from wherever we wanted to go: Casa Marina, the beach at Zachary Taylor State Park, Fausto’s grocery, the old harbor, or Capt. Tony’s (for my band’s shows).

We could tell that the hotel had gotten some upgrades: new bathrooms, the ramp from the office up to the pool area, etc. And we appreciated the courtesy of being able to leave our bags in the office after check-out because we had a late flight out.

One small suggestion for rooms with a skylight over a bed. We hope that there will be a way to cover the skylight so we can sleep in a little later in the morning.

Thanks again, Merlin, for a great stay in Key West. We hope to see you again soon.

Best regards,

Howard & Tracy Golub

We recently stayed at the Merlin for our 10th anniversary and while attending the MOTM. It had a perfect location for us to participate in the festivities as well as enjoy the old town. It was one of the quietest places we have stayed in when in Key West. The suite was clean and the bed very comfortable. Although parking is at a premium in Key West, Ken helped us get a disabled persons parking spot close to the hotel. The courtyard and small pool were most enjoyable. Will definitely stay here again.

As my father, who was here for a few days from out of the country, my best friend and myself  parked outside the hotel a very nice woman came up to us to greet us and welcome us to the hotel. We walked up to the front desk and she helped us with the check in process and actually offered better accommodations for us since we were bringing an extra guest. She and every single person that we dealt with was informative, helpful and polite making this stay in the hotel, for only one night, the best one in a very long time. The room itself was very clean and cozy. We were close to Duval street and the main touristic places so we didn’t have to drive. Big plus!

I have recommended the place to others and I will definitely stay here every time I visit the keys.

Thanks again

Upon our arrival,  Oct. 29th, Chris was extremely helpful as we checked in (very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions). He even helped us locate a curbside parking space for our car.  Our room #2, The Library, was very spacious, clean, comfortable and very inviting.   Though we did wonder ” if anyone, could see through our bathroom window”? (just a thought??) It was our own choice not to have daily housekeeping service, however, the housekeeping staff always provided us with whatever we needed when asked.

Loved the 4:30 happy hour idea w/ a drink special and app. It gave us a daily place to “regroup” for the evening and touch base w/ others we had met while staying at Cypress House. Speaking of the food….we enjoyed our daily breakfast!! Wide variety of hot and cold options and friendly staff!!

Yes, we would most definitely recommend the Cypress House to our friends.  The location was perfect for us, amenities great and the staff was very accommodating and friendly!!

We stayed at Key Lime Inn for 5 nights over Halloween.  It’s our 2nd year in a row there.  The pool was great, never too crowded.  The bed was super comfortable and the staff was very helpful as usual.
