We stayed for our 10th wedding anniversary.  Upon arrival we were greeted by 2 smiling faces who were very friendly.  We had been driving for 9 hours and my husband was not feeling great.  We got there early not expecting to be able to check in until 4pm.  To our surprise they allowed us to check in early.  The cottages at Key Lime Inn are very cozy and the property is quiet.  The room was small and very clean and smelled nice.  Unfortunately, my husband ended up in the ER later that night and I ended up sleeping in my car not getting to enjoy the room overnight.  We had to leave that morning & get him to our local hospital.  Once again not expecting it we asked if we could be refunded for the second night since we would be leaving.  To our surprise the friendly staff  had compassion for us and without hesitation refunded our second night.  Although we didn’t get to enjoy our weekend getaway we were very impressed with our short stay.  We will definitely be rebooking in the future.

My  husband and I had a fun time staying in one of  your cottages. The  front desk was very helpful in giving us maps and ideas.  The only improvement is that the was no indication that parking was an extra $10 fee, except on their website.  Luckily we have a handicap parking  placard and was able to park on the premises.  The room was clean and breakfast was tasty.

I was able to stay 2 nights at the Cypress House Hotel because I was in town for a wedding. But being at the Cypress House was like a luxury home away from home. The room was amazing. I had the library! Everything was clean, seemed like a new room. But it was historic! The bed was comfortable.  Great pool area! They had a healthy and great selection for breakfast.  A great way to start the day. The location was at the heart of the downtown area. 2 minutes walk to Duval street, where everything is Live!! Great restaurants and nightlife nearby. I enjoyed the Liming hour; a happy hour with a delicious drink and appetizers. Who could beat that!! And the hotel was for adults only. Even better. When I have to opportunity to return to key west, Cypress House Hotel will be the reason I return!

We were taking a quick trip to Key West. I read some reviews and decided to try the Merlin Guest House. What a fabulous stay. It was quaint yet modern and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.  Linda was awesome and I bonded with Jordan “The Cat”, of course!  It was a real diamond and you can rest assured this is our final destination when we return. Thank you for making our stay so wonderful.

Hotel was clean and staff was friendly. We arrived early and our room was not ready yet but they had a little area where we could store our luggage while we waited. That was nice so we could go explore and not have to carry everything around. When our room was ready we received a free upgrade from a queen to a king room. The location was great as well. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in Key West!

We stayed for 2 nights at Key Lime Inn. At first I wasn’t sure of the location but it turned out to be an excellent location in Old Town. The room was very clean. The staff was very nice and helpful. I would definitely stay there again.

I just returned from a wonderful five night “buddies” trip to Key West, the first two of which I spent at the Lighthouse Court Hotel.  From the moment I got out of the Taxi cab and walked into the registration desk, the experience provided by the on property staff was stellar.  Every encounter further solidified my satisfaction and comfort through genuine greetings, infectious smiles, and offers to serve.  The rooms were exactly as advertised…which in my experience, is rarely the case.  They were very clean, the beds and linen were comfortable, the air conditioning worked well (considering the 97% humidity), there were lots of outlets in the walls (again, atypical), the water pressure was good, and there was plenty of space for our group to coexist.  The property was well manicured, the pool was clean and inviting with plenty of chairs and covered tables to escape the sun, and having the bar co-located was really nice.  Mimi, the bartender, was so much fun, and made a mean Mojito…we enjoyed our conversations with her and our visits with the resident black cat, very much.  The location of the property is also great…10 second walk to Hemingway House (a must take tour), 5 min walk to the Green Parrot, 10 min walk to Mid-Duval Street, and 15 minutes (max) to S. Duval and Mallory Square.

During our visit we enjoyed chasing Tarpon around the back country with a fantastic local fishing guide Capt. Kyle Kelso, went out to the shallow off shore reefs and tried SNUBA, and if you are a live music fan that wants to avoid the  boring and repetitive parody acts (Irish Kevin’s), you must check out the Green Room and the local favorites that play the Green Parrot…you won’t be disappointed.

Great staff, excellent rooms, beautiful property and a perfect centralized location from which to enjoy the town.

The only suggestion I would make that some folks might find beneficial is to add pull down shades behind the plantation shutters in the rooms.  I think it would help the room stay cooler during the heat of the day and I know it would allow for better sleeping (less sunlight) in the mornings.

Thanks

Without exaggeration, this is the most beautiful hotel room I have stayed in.  The happy hour was a welcome surprise.  The upgrade to the king with balcony exceeded anything I could have imagined.  The bed was comfy and the balcony was the highlight.  The extra space, well, that was a bonus.  Thank you so much.

The architecture of the building is so beautiful.  I recall walking past this historic building on one of my first trips to the island knowing that some day I NEEDED to stay there.  I loved sitting on the balcony at night and staring at the weathered posts and square nails in the morning.   I have lots of images in my mind about what they have witnessed since being placed there.  I would have loved a little write up on the history of the house that I could read in the room.

IF I had to be picky about something it was 1) modern commode required having to hold the button down.  It took me a bit to figure that out.    2) the parking situation.  Due to (very noisy) road construction (completely out of your control) we had to schlep our luggage four blocks on a sweltering day.  Unpleasant.   3) I would have loved to been able to relax in the pool past 10:00 pm.

I stayed at the Chelsea House Hotel from May 17-20 2016 on business (I know!!) I was upgraded to the Hibiscus Junior suite on the first floor of the building facing Elizabeth St.  First off – parking was clearly marked and ample for the property size – never had a problem getting a space. The front desk staff was welcoming and courteous – providing a map of the property and pointing where my room, the ice machine, the pool area and where the continental breakfast was served each morning. I asked about dining options and they provided me with several options as well as vouchers for each – free glass of wine, key lime pie, etc. Found my suite to be a welcoming frigid temperature (it was humid  on arrival), exceptionally clean, and incredibly spacious. The junior suite has both a couch / ottoman seating area and a small kitchen ( full size fridge, oven, cooktop and microwave).  If you were staying a full week  or more I could see taking more advantage of it – for me it was ample room to store juice, water and ice cream.  There’s a CVS about a 4 min walk up the street – close enough to grab some basic supplies – even without a car.

Its location is a definite plus – in heart of Old Town to get into the action on Duval yet far enough away that you don’t hear it all night.

i had dinner two nights in the area – Duffy’s and Abbodanza – 5 minute walk – good food and great service – both recommended by the front desk staff. Also dined at 915 on Duval- just a block or so over and a few blocks down – also a front desk recommendation.  I believe Erin checked me in – she was absolutely pleasant, cheerful and a font of information.

I never actually saw the housekeeping staff – but know that they were present by the immaculate presentation of my room each night- freshly fluffed pillows- neatly folded towels, and empty waste receptacles .

continental breakfast served by the pool was arranged neatly with an array of hot beverages, iced juice and water, cereal, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, and pastry (bread, muffin, bagel etc.) with a nice seating area by the pool. Sufficient to start the day without having to leave the property in search of more.

if the management and presentation is indicative of the other properties in this hotel group – I’ll have to try them all.  Definitely a great experience all around.
