Stayed at the Merlin Guesthouse from Saturday 20/9 – Monday 22/9, had a really nice time. The staff were extremely helpful and loved the laid-back feel of the place. Would definitely recommend the Merlin to friends, family and colleagues who may be visiting at one time or another. Will definitely be back if I can find a cooler time of the year.

Thank you so much Merlin Staff

Had a perfect visit. The woman at the front desk , I think Lee, was very nice and a perfect host. I have stayed at the Lighthouse Court, Chelsea House, Albury Court many times and now the Merlin Guesthouse. When someone asks where to stay I always tell them Historic Key West Inns. Thanks!!

This is our second time at the Merlin Guesthouse in Key West. Could only be happier if it was a bit less expensive. It’s a bit high but I didn’t feel ripped off because it’s better and nicer than some of the large, generic chain hotels. The room we stayed in was VERY clean and appeared freshly redone. The mattresses were very comfortable. The property is keep in great shape and has a lot of foliage around for privacy. The breakfast is fair but it’s nice to have because Key West doesn’t open until 10:00 am. The only other suggestion would be to have a business computer and printer for travel. They will check in and print passes for you on their computer, but I want do that myself.

As for location, I would say it’s perfect. Walking distance from everything, including a scooter rental facility. The Merlin Guesthouse also comes with a few permanent residents that you can’t avoid like Jordan the cat.

We loved our stay at Lighthouse Court, you can’t find a nicer location! We had our entire wedding party at the hotel and everybody was so happy with their rooms. I was a little nervous when reading a few reviews about how small some rooms are, but it’s nothing like that at all!  Each room held a true Key West flair.

The staff was very helpful and friendly!! We would stay here again and again! I would highly recommend this hotel to family’s, couples and wedding parties.

And last note, the pool and pool deck area was fabulous. I highly reccomend a Key West Lemonade from the Mojito Bar!.

What an unexpected surprise! My husband and I, along with another couple, stayed one night to celebrate my 50th birthday. The room exceeded our expectations…very clean and modern decor. Our room was a two queen bed and had a semi divider between the two sleeping areas giving us our own space from our guests. Location was great to walk to Duval..though we opted for taxi ride back to hotel later that night. Breakfast at poolside the next morning was fresh and tasty with lots of options for specialty teas…the smallest of details were not unnoticed by us. Would highly recommend Albury Court for something quaint and very clean.

My boyfriend and I stayed for an extended weekend in September and couldn’t have had a better time. We checked in at around 1pm even though check-in wasn’t until 3pm. We weren’t expecting to get our room, we were only hoping to be able to park our car and then go get some lunch. However, we were fantastically told we could park and drop our things off in the room. It was awesome that parking was on premise and we didn’t have to pay extra for it. As you know, the key is limited on parking especially in Old Town. After we got settled, we wanted a few restaurant options. The staff was more than helpful giving us great food options as well as few must see sightseeing adventures. They also were able to accommodate us at the in-house bar with complimentary beverages as well as some complimentary drinks out on Duval. The room was nice, the beds were comfortable and the plus was the in-room safe and refrigerator. The grounds were quaint, cozy, and beautiful! Big trees surrounded the , there was a corn hole “field”, a pool, a lovely porch swing which made for a romantic hang-out, and a great continental breakfast that was included with our room stay. We loved the location..directly across from the Hemingway house and right next to the lighthouse and museum with only one block off Duval. We will definitely be returning to this fantastic inn!!! Hopefully, sooner rather than later, as Key West has our hearts and we can’t wait to return!!

We spent 4 nights recently at Key Lime.  We had a great, great time.  Key Lime is quiet and relaxing and conveniently located to Duval St., etc.  The room was nice and clean.  The continental breakfast is good and the staff very professional.  We enjoyed eating at El Siboney and the Mojito’s at Mallory Square behind the Westin are awesome!!

We stayed at Cypress House over Labor Day weekend in a historic king with private porch accommodation. The room was the entire front half of the first floor of a historical home and the porch ran all the way across and had wicker furniture. It was behind a white fence with beautiful shrubbery and a brick walkway that complimented the historical setting. The room was very spacious with a small wet bar (refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker) and a full size bathroom. There was also a small table for two to eat on if you wanted but we found the porch table too tempting to stay inside. The room is clean, clean, clean and the bed (king w/ 6 excellent pillows) feels and smells wonderful. They have a lap pool that is very clean and comfortable and the continental breakfast was a good start, not a bed and breakfast quality but certainly better that the usual continental. Afternoon free cocktails and appetizers were a great addition. Location is perfect for coming by ferry and Duval Street is only one block away allowing easy access to everything while having a quiet escape to come back to.
