We enjoyed our stay at Key Lime Inn.  The beds were very comfortable, the room well appointed and the staff very attentive and helpful.

We will recommend the inn to our friends.

I couldn’t be more satisfied in this hotel. The room is great, very cozy, the hotel is very nice located, and the staff is wonderful. While my stay, my wife, that was pregnant, had a health problem and the staff helped me a lot, indicating an emergency hospital and also arranged for us the same room for an extra night we needed because of this incident. They were so nice even at checkout, where my wife received a card with get-well wishes from each member of the staff. We really loved it. So, when I return to Key West, definitely I’ll stay at Key Lime Inn. Thank you!

We had a wonderful stay for our 30th anniversary. The room was very comfortable, spacious and tastefully decorated. The front desk staff was extraordinary. We arrived after dark on Saturday evening and the host (I wish I could remember his name!) was so friendly and helpful. He got us checked in promptly and then helped us with our bags to our upstairs room. Another front desk host gave us recommendations for special restaurants to celebrate our anniversary and offered to make reservations for us.

We have been to Key West several times and stayed at the Cypress House when it was privately owned. We were a little bit concerned that it may have lost its personal touch, but we needn’t have worried. They kept all of the things we liked about Cypress House from before – morning breakfast, happy hour, etc., but things run a lot more efficiently now. All good things. The main difference is that the dog that used to live there is now a cat!

If I had to give one instance where I think there could be improvement, it is with the housekeeping staff. Everything was kept very clean and sparkling everyday. The only issue was that the coffee packs were often not replenished. One day we asked the front desk person for some packs, and he immediately went with us to the supply closet and got us what we needed. Again the next day the housekeeper forgot to leave more coffee. I caught up with her the next day and asked her to leave us some packs and she did. It’s not a major problem because coffee was available around the pool, but we would have liked to have it available in our room for early in the morning. Again, not a big deal, but I just thought I should mention it.

We love Key West and hope to return very soon. We ate at so many great restaurants that it’s hard to single out any one of them for special praise. We loved happy hour at Alonzo’s, and had a wonderful dinner at Louie’s Backyard. And I think we sampled every Key lime pie in town.

I have my fingers crossed that we win the 3 night stay. We would make it into another week-long vacation in paradise. Keep up the great work.

This is our fifth visit to Key West and our third stay at the Merlin Guesthouse. We LOVE this hotel! The staff are warm and inviting. The grounds are gorgeous and the rooms are beautiful. it’s close enough to the action of key west, but its location is tranquil and serene. We are looking forward to planning our annual winter trip next year to stay at the merlin guesthouse again! Jordan the cat greets us at check in and keeps an eye on us thru our stay!

First time at Cypress House and can’t imagine it will be our last. Great location. Just close enough to Duval Street but far enough away to not have a lot of noise to bother you. Rooms are nicely furnished and very clean. They have a medium pool but honestly, who has the time to be in the pool? Good to know they have one just in case. Can’t wait to come back. Thanks CH!

We stayed at the Cypress House Hotel in November of 2014 for four days and our stay was outstanding. This was our first trip to Key West. We researched several different lodging options – comparing everything from cost to location to amenities. There is no doubt we picked a gem with the Cypress House and we knew it from the moment we exited the cab.

We were greeted very warmly upon arrival. The fine gentleman at the front desk grabbed a bag for us as we were shown to our room. We booked a standard king room but we were upgraded to a balcony king at no charge. The room was great and the shared balcony was perfect for relaxing, absorbing the sounds of Key West and for enjoying a fine cigar. Cypress House does have a small but beautiful pool with towels available poolside. The location of the Cypress House was perfect. Just two blocks off of Duval Street with Mallory Square just a 5 minute walk.

Every morning an awesome complimentary breakfast was served downstairs in the outdoor patio room. Fruit, bagels, egg burritos, biscuits and gravy, juice, coffee and much more. We were able to enjoy a hearty breakfast that lasted us well into the afternoon. Liming hour was then offered in the late afternoon and once again – awesome. Liming = complimentary light food, a rotation of adult beverages and an opportunity to talk with fellow vacationers. After that, dinner was enjoyed all over Key West – Cuban cuisine to seafood.

Every member of the staff we interacted with was super friendly – couldn’t have been better. If there was one item that was slightly inconvenient it would be this (no fault of the Hotel). Our room was positioned on the corner of the hotel and below us during the mornings was a very busy intersection. Car and truck traffic, periodic horns and the occasional loud pipe cycle. This inconvenience was not enough to knock this gem from our 5-star grade though. In a strange way, the morning traffic actually acted as an alarm clock for us.

Our first trip to Key West was full of great memories and the Cypress House certainly played a large part. Friendly, affordable, clean, great location, and the breakfast and liming can help save on your food costs too. We recommend!! Guaranteed we will stay here again!!
