We decided to visit Key West with some friends and we agreed upon the Key Lime Inn for our accommodations.  We are so glad we ended up here!  Alicia and Michelle were wonderful in the front office with their suggestions on restaurants and were also helpful in getting a room changed for us as well as calling cabs for us and also in arranging for our bags to picked up and taken to the ferry while we enjoyed the sights in Key West before our boat left in the late afternoon.  Our “duplex cottage” was clean, properly appointed, and just the right mix between Key West charm and modern conveniences.   We would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Key West.

My wife and I stayed at the Merlin Guesthouse for our Anniversary last week.  We were very impressed and very happy with our stay.  We checked in with Lee and Kenneth.  Both were EXTREMELY helpful!!  We had originally booked for one night.  After a extremely long day of driving (did not realize it would take us so long to get to KW), there was no way we were going to get to see anything of what we had planned.  So when my wife checked us in, Lee and Kenneth were able to find us another room, upgrade us, and gave us the same price we had paid for the first night.  They certainly did not have to do this and we were so appreciative.  When we got into our room, it was warm.  We knew if was the heat of the day, but it was cool in the room.  We went back to the office to talk with Lee.  We did not want to complain since Lee had been so helpful and accommodating, but the room was just too warm.  She said ‘we’ll take care of it’…it will be fixed before you return!  Wow!  And it was!!  We we returned later that evening, the air was cold when we went into the room.  We ended up staying the 2 nights and were able to relax, knowing that we had more time to see everything.  We knew breakfast was included, but what was offered exceeded our expectations.  A nice array of breakfast items were available to choose from…started our day off perfectly.  In the afternoon, when it got to be just too hot, we headed back to the Guesthouse to swim.  Even with 22 rooms…we rarely saw other people.  And so, we had the swimming pool to ourselves.  And we were pleasantly surpirsed with ice tea under the pergola.   The Merlin Guesthouse is in the perfect location too.  1 block from Duval street and pretty much right in the middle of town.  We will definitely be back and we will recommend the Merlin Guesthouse to our friends and family.  Thank you for making our Anniversary trip a very memorable one.

We loved our stay at the Lighthouse Court.  We have stayed there four times in the last five years and the place gets better each time.  The staff was very helpful and made check-in and check-out very easy.  The hotel is an easy walk to all of downtown Key West.

Our room (F4) was outstanding.  The only recommendation for improvement we could make is to use blackout curtains on the windows.  There are slat window shades, but with the light on for the ice machine right outside the window, they were unable to block out the constant light completely.

I am certain that we will stay at Lighthouse Court again.

We arrived at the Cypress House Hotel and were met by the most accommodating staff. It was my husband’s birthday and we received special recognition and was assigned a great room. The room was very clean and afforded all the necessaries needed to make our stay in Key West pleasant and enjoyable. We were fortunate to be located downstairs near the beautiful pool and breakfast area. We attended a complimentary happy hour with drinks and hors d’oeuvres the afternoon we arrived and enjoyed mingling with the other guests and staff. Lodging here gave you the sensation of visiting in someone’s personal home. The following morning we were extremely pleased with the beautiful and abundant breakfast. All of the staff exercised great care to assure that our stay was memorable. We are planning to return for our anniversary. When you are in the Key West area I would recommend staying here. We found the Cypress House clean, friendly and affordable.

Thank You

Overall our experience was great at the Albury.  Very clean and cozy room across the street from the main office, good enough breakfast choices, small but welcoming pool area and a good part of town to walk to all the main places in Key West.  Will def recommend the Albury Court and I hope to return eventually :)

We went to Key West in June 2015 and stayed at The Key Lime Inn. We loved the accomodations and had such a great time we decided to go back in July 2015. This time we decided to find accomodations closer to the wharf where we liked to spend our evenings. Being we had such a great experience at the Key Lime Inn we decided to to book another Historic Key West Inns property. We chose the Cypress House because of the location but found the accomodations and service was EXCELLENT. We were given a complimentary upgrade to our room at check in which is something they offer their guests when they can. The staff always offered a smile and asked if there was anything they could do for us. There was a good selection of food and beverages for breakfast, munchies in the afternoon & clean beach towels by the pool which you can use at the hotel or take to the beach for the day. The location is great, you are no more than a few minutes walk from Duval, the wharf and Mallory Square. I was a little hesitant to stay at the Cypress House because there is no parking at the hotel but was pleased to find they have an agreement with the city parking garage; $10 for 24hrs with in and out privleges. You pay for the parking at hotel check in, they provide a pass to hang on your mirror and the garage is just a few blocks away. This was our first time staying at the Cypress House but it won’t be the last. We are already looking into arrangements for our next trip!
I would definately recommend either of these hotels. The Key Lime Inn offers a slightly lower rate and has free on-site parking, the Cypress House Hotel is priced slightly higher but just minutes away from everything.
