I loved staying at the Merlin Guest House. It has style, character, and soul. I enjoyed sitting on the front porch at night and early morning. Very convenient location. The staff was great, I especially enjoyed my interactions with Linda. The only inconvenience was that the gravel in the parking was so loose it was very difficult maneuvering my motorcycle. Thus was my first trip to Key West and I plan to return, rest assured I would like to stay at the Merlin Guest House again!

I’d like to start by saying that the staff was incredible during our stay. Laura and staff were super nice and always attentive with everything. The place does not feel like a hotel. It feels like you’re in actual community part of the keys. It was great to find out we were very close to everything, not to mention literally in front of the Hemingway house which we attended a wedding to. The bar was great including the referrals to great visits around the island such as restaurants and sites. Overall, will stay here again in the future. Cheers!

This was our third time visiting Key West and staying at the Cypress House Hotel. We thoroughly enjoy it there from service with Craig at check in to complimentary breakfast and conversation with Melissa as well as cocktails in the evening. Only thing I wish would’ve been different is that we could have had a room in the main house. I made reservations in Jan for a July stay and informed them we were on motorcycles and would like a room in the main house as it’s difficult to unload and load the luggage from a motorcycle while having to walk any distance. Unfortunately, this request was not accommodated. At least, they did have a gravel lot where we could park.

We loved the location and comfort of the Albury Court Hotel. The room was cute, clean, and fit 3 people just fine. Check in and out was easy and friendly. We ate out a lot but did manage to enjoy the poolside breakfast once which was really good with several options (yogurt, fruit, breads, hard boiled eggs, oatmeal, juice/coffee).  The price wasn’t “budget” but I guess for Key West it was fitting. Rented bikes and got around everywhere quickly. Would stay again!

The location, breakfast, pool, and room were all great! Parking was not as big of a deal as I thought it would be. It is a 4-5 minute walk. The hotel grounds are lush and beautiful. I would much rather stay here in a historic hotel than a chain resort. There is too much character you would miss out on. It is very traditional Key West. I highly recommend the this hotel.

This was my first trip down to the Keys, and I could not have been happier with our stay at Cypress House Hotel. The location was perfect! It was in walking distance to all the major shops, bars, and restaurants, yet tucked away enough to enjoy the serenity of the island.  The room was exceptionally clean and spacious; it included all the amenities we needed for a five day stay, effortlessly accommodated our, admittedly, overzealous packing, and we never felt overcrowded or confined. We were fortunate enough to have the room with the private balcony facing the street, which was a perfect place to enjoy early morning coffee and evening cocktails. The process for checking-in and out was simple and fast, and the entire staff was welcoming and accommodating. The free breakfast included a wide array of items, and the evening appetizers and cocktails added an additional special touch to the overall experience. I look forward to staying at Cypress House Hotel in the future and absolutely recommend this property to others!

The Merlin Guest House was just what we needed for our first stay in Key West. It is located is a quieter part of Key West yet very close to the Southernmost Point and Duval Street. The hotel staff gave us excellent recommendations for dining. The pool was a great place to cool off and relax. I also appreciated the iced tea served in the afternoon. The beds and pillows were also so cozy and the room super clean. I would definitely recommend it! The only things that were missing were an ironing board and body lotion in the rooms. Luckily I brought some lotion and wrinkle release spray, but it would been nice to be in the rooms.

Loved the location of this hotel. We were in walking distance of everything! The rooms were very clean and comfortable! We were able to sit on our front porch and enjoy the baby chicks and the kitty cat that lives on site. The staff was very friendly and helped us with all our needs! Looking forward to our return next summer!!!
