Very pleasant hotel, nice gardens, a small pool. We got a very small room in which we never had day light because our window was on the sidewalk where everyone passed by and could see inside, but we did not spend much time in the room so that was not a big issue. The breakfast was fine for a complimentary breakfast, the staff was nice and helpful. I would stay again, but in a bigger room and with a window placed so that i can leave the curtain open without people seeing right inside. Above all, the location is ideal! Close from everything but still quiet and calm.

Our first night didn’t start off very well, from the late arrival, thunderstorms and then the A/C not working when we checked in…but the staff stepped up immediately and in less than an hour we had a new A/C installed, a few extra snacks and drinks and suggestions for deliveries.  We were truly amazed and pleased that you go the extra mile and made us feel welcomed.  On top of that, we also were provided a $50 credit and found champagne in our room the next night.

Rooms were clean and bed was comfortable. Nice porch to sit out and relax. Breakfast was really good and had a variety of items.

We were happy with the location of the Hotel since we decided to be on foot this trip. Everything was easy access and great to be able to go back to the room to freshen up and head back out.  We got caught in a few storms…but it’s just water.  We would Definitely consider staying here again should we return to Key West.

We stayed in Room 4 for our July 4th holiday trip. Thanks again to the staff, they made the difference.

We were very pleased with our stay at Cypress House.  Our room was perfect! We stayed in the main building in a Superior King room. The room was extremely clean. The happy ‘Liming’ hour isn’t so bad either :) Looking forward to another great stay soon!

My daughter and I were there only there for one night, our mission was to find a place to have a wedding and reception.
We came in on a Monday early, parked the truck and had 3 appointments that day. Of course, we had to cool off and quench our thirst at many of our favorite watering holes. That night we had a great sleep after the Chicago Blackhawks won The “Sir” Stanley Cup.  The next morning had a great breakfast, even though the power went out on the island because of a  rainstorm, and off to 3 more appointments.

It’s a magical place and your historic hotels are the way to go.  We even saw a cat hanging on the roof, typical for Key West.

We enjoyed our stay at Cypress House.  The staff was very accommodating.  Our rooms were switched so that we could be next to our traveling companions!  The pool area was relaxing and the breakfast meals were nice.  We would go back to the Cypress House!  Thank you for a great visit to Key West!

Thank you for reaching out to me to invite me to share my comments on the Cypress House. I am a travel writer and I also had a travel agency for years, so I’ve had the opportunity to stay in a variety of hotels and inns throughout the world. We very much enjoyed our time at the Cypress House. I share some of these comments only because I love your approach to upgrading and branding historic Key West properties and I hope that they will provide some additional information that I think will make the experience more complete.

It is a terrific location–easy access to the action, but peaceful enough at night, so that we could sleep well. Chris and the other staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. We stayed in room 11 and needed the porch swept and some cushions for the chairs and they took care of it right away. Beach towels were always plentiful and I appreciated not having to sign some sort of log every time I needed one. Even though we need not always take advantage of the continental breakfast or Liming, we certainly enjoyed them when we did.

I understand that you have put quite a bit of money into upgrading the property and it certainly shows, especially in the bathrooms. It is wonderful to have a sparkling new and modern bathroom in a charming older hotel, which is one of the reasons I choose the Cypress House. I love the cool blue and green color scheme, too. Quite soothing after a day at the beach. A few things that would make the room more inviting and accommodating would be some more art (it feels a little sparse), a full-length mirror, and a hand towel holder near the basin so you wouldn’t have to put the towel on the actual basin where it can get wet. Another nice addition would be some sort of welcome letter that would include information such as what restaurants deliver so you can enjoy lunch by the pool, etc. I have found that this personal touch in a small and charming hotel like yours is quite welcome.

I would say that housekeeping was a little spotty. I don’t think the bathroom mirror was cleaned more than once nor the floors swept often (coming to and from the beach things can get a little sandy/messy).

If you can make these few little upgrades, funds permitting, I really think that it would make the Cypress House an even more desirable place to stay in Key West. We would most certainly return.

Thanks to Chris and everyone for their hospitality.

My spouse and I just returned from a 4 night stay at the Key Lime Inn and the staff were very friendly. The room looked just like the pictures from online and we loved having the Keurig in our room. Our only complaint was that the bed was kind of uncomfortable and made it difficult to get any good sleep while there.  Overall we had a great experience here. We also took advantage of the breakfast each morning, which was great. With our bike rentals from Eaton we easily made our way around the island and got much more of a “local” experience which made it truly unique. We would recommend this hotel, just bring a mattress topper, which we found out later they do have if you ask for them ;)

My wife and I had a very enjoyable stay at the Key Lime Inn for three nights this past April.  We were impressed with the location of the Inn, the comfort and cleanliness of our room, and for the hospitality and professionalism of each member of your staff we encountered.  We would certainly give consideration to staying here again should we return to Key West.

The hotel was wonderful.  Our room was a little on the tiny side, but it was clean and had a great view with a huge front porch to go out onto and sit and relax.  The pool was nice, breakfast was good, and the staff were very nice.  The location was walkable to the Dry Torguas ferry and also to downtown on Duval Street.  Great restaurants nearby, as well as a CVS pharmacy for any last minute needs.  We would definitely stay there again.
