We enjoyed our stay at Cypress House.  The staff was very accommodating.  Our rooms were switched so that we could be next to our traveling companions!  The pool area was relaxing and the breakfast meals were nice.  We would go back to the Cypress House!  Thank you for a great visit to Key West!

Thank you for reaching out to me to invite me to share my comments on the Cypress House. I am a travel writer and I also had a travel agency for years, so I’ve had the opportunity to stay in a variety of hotels and inns throughout the world. We very much enjoyed our time at the Cypress House. I share some of these comments only because I love your approach to upgrading and branding historic Key West properties and I hope that they will provide some additional information that I think will make the experience more complete.

It is a terrific location–easy access to the action, but peaceful enough at night, so that we could sleep well. Chris and the other staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. We stayed in room 11 and needed the porch swept and some cushions for the chairs and they took care of it right away. Beach towels were always plentiful and I appreciated not having to sign some sort of log every time I needed one. Even though we need not always take advantage of the continental breakfast or Liming, we certainly enjoyed them when we did.

I understand that you have put quite a bit of money into upgrading the property and it certainly shows, especially in the bathrooms. It is wonderful to have a sparkling new and modern bathroom in a charming older hotel, which is one of the reasons I choose the Cypress House. I love the cool blue and green color scheme, too. Quite soothing after a day at the beach. A few things that would make the room more inviting and accommodating would be some more art (it feels a little sparse), a full-length mirror, and a hand towel holder near the basin so you wouldn’t have to put the towel on the actual basin where it can get wet. Another nice addition would be some sort of welcome letter that would include information such as what restaurants deliver so you can enjoy lunch by the pool, etc. I have found that this personal touch in a small and charming hotel like yours is quite welcome.

I would say that housekeeping was a little spotty. I don’t think the bathroom mirror was cleaned more than once nor the floors swept often (coming to and from the beach things can get a little sandy/messy).

If you can make these few little upgrades, funds permitting, I really think that it would make the Cypress House an even more desirable place to stay in Key West. We would most certainly return.

Thanks to Chris and everyone for their hospitality.

My spouse and I just returned from a 4 night stay at the Key Lime Inn and the staff were very friendly. The room looked just like the pictures from online and we loved having the Keurig in our room. Our only complaint was that the bed was kind of uncomfortable and made it difficult to get any good sleep while there.  Overall we had a great experience here. We also took advantage of the breakfast each morning, which was great. With our bike rentals from Eaton we easily made our way around the island and got much more of a “local” experience which made it truly unique. We would recommend this hotel, just bring a mattress topper, which we found out later they do have if you ask for them ;)

My wife and I had a very enjoyable stay at the Key Lime Inn for three nights this past April.  We were impressed with the location of the Inn, the comfort and cleanliness of our room, and for the hospitality and professionalism of each member of your staff we encountered.  We would certainly give consideration to staying here again should we return to Key West.

The hotel was wonderful.  Our room was a little on the tiny side, but it was clean and had a great view with a huge front porch to go out onto and sit and relax.  The pool was nice, breakfast was good, and the staff were very nice.  The location was walkable to the Dry Torguas ferry and also to downtown on Duval Street.  Great restaurants nearby, as well as a CVS pharmacy for any last minute needs.  We would definitely stay there again.

Our room needed a larger table to put stuff on, other than that, it was a lovely room.

We loved the Key Lime Inn setting and especially loved our cottage. It was beautifully decorated and very clean. We spent time in the pool and had breakfast there as well. We parked our car and walked for two days since the inn was within walking distance of Duval Street with many restaurants and bars. The staff was very attentive.

My boyfriend and I took a mini vacation down to Key West  and had the privilege of staying at the Merlin Guesthouse. When I made the reservations I had an extensive conversation with Adam, who was BEYOND helpful and even suggested this specific property for us after learning about what we wanted to experience in Key West. We were both born and raised in Florida and have experienced Key West many times in many different ways, but this was by far one of the best.

We stayed in the King Suite– which was more than spacious and had a nice seating area instead of just the large bed and oversized bathroom– which is key when being a girl who tends to take a lot of time to get ready. :). The property was beautiful and quiet and centrally located to everything.. We rented a scooter 1 block away and the closeness to the Merlin made it easy for us to pick up and drop off. We also walked around the last day and it was so nice to be so close to everything, yet you couldn’t hear any of the craziness from Duval Street.

The accommodations and staff were extremely friendly and beyond our expectations. We will absolutely stay here again.. Oh, and the complimentary breakfast was perfect!! Delicious coffee and healthy options, including Activia yogurt and healthy Kashi cereal – -a lite bite to start your day off right!  :)

Thank you for a wonderful experience and we can’t wait for our next visit!!

Thank you so much for an enjoyable time. You made our Harley group welcomed and all 15 of us were delighted.  This trip was a surprise for one of our friends 60th birthday and we drove from Maryland to celebrate. I’m sure we will return .  Again thank you to you and your staff.
