My husband and I stayed at the Chelsea House for 7 nights and enjoyed it very much! We were not on vacation but in transition between rentals and needed a place that accepted pets. The Chelsea House made us and our cat feel welcome and at home during a stressful week! We had a beautiful room with a large porch and rocking chairs, which was great for drinking coffee in the morning or sipping wine in the evening and watch people walk by on Truman Ave. Very entertaining! The location is great, just a few blocks from Duval Street and in walking distance to Mallory Square and some very good restaurants! We loved the fresh and healthy breakfast buffet served every morning by the pool, it had everything we needed and the coffee was outstanding! All the front desk staff was very personable and helpful, thank you! Will definitely stay there again and recommend to all our friends and family!

Our visits to Key West are always so relaxing thanks to the comfy, private and old-town feeling of Chelsea House Pool & Gardens. The rooms are immaculate and the staff is welcoming. I love just sitting at the pool on warm afternoons chatting with guests from across the globe. Thank you Julie Fondreist for your hospitality.

I stayed at Key Lime Inn over the weekend in June, and had a pleasant experience.  The room size was good, and the staff we courteous and friendly.  There was no noise issue despite being close to Truman Street.  One thing I did not realize is that the Inn is on a relatively large grounds with several cottages, which I think enhanced privacy.  I enjoyed  staying here.

My husband and I spent three nights at Chelsea House.  The location was ideal, within easy walking distance of all the attractions. Parking was ample, but uncovered. The front office staff was very helpful and professional.  The room was beautiful and the bed was very comfortable. There was no closet, but hangars and hooks were provided for tops and dresses. The pool and gardens were beautiful.  The housekeeping staff did an excellent job.  This is an historic inn, so be prepared to climb and descend narrow stairs.  These weren’t a problem, unless you have limited mobility and a second floor room. Breakfast was the low point.  It was served by the pool and seating was limited, especially if there was rain. The coffee was excellent, but there should have been more selections for breakfast items.  All the cereals offered were heavily sweetened, and there was a limited choice of fresh fruit. Fresh locally made pastries were good. Our two favorite restaurants, both located on Duval Street were La Trattoria and Antonia’s.  We would recommend the hotel for anyone visiting Key West.

Helpful and friendly staff.  Very clean.  Surprisingly quite since it is located in Old Town, so close to the hustle and bustle of Key West. We left another resort in the upper Keys because we were very disappointed with the place.  We decided to “wing it” and found the Key Lime Inn.  It was just what we needed.  Clean and close to Duval Street.  It even cost less than the other resort we left!  Highly recommended.  We will return!

The Key Lime Inn was wonderful.  We got there and were upgraded to a superior room.  It was clean, well appointed, and right off the pool and breakfast area.  Check-in was a breeze and because of the location we were able to leave our car in the parking lot, free of charge of course.  The staff was polite and answered every question we had.  I would definitely book at the Key Lime in the future and recommend it to others.  It just so happens a friend of mine is going to stay there for his honeymoon.  I got back and he told me that he and his wife are staying at the Key Lime so I told him how nice it is.  They are from Huntsville Alabama and will love both the Inn and Key West.

I was a first time visitor to the Albury Court as well as Key West. I had always heard Key West was a one-of-a-kind place so I had large expectations to meet. Well let’s just say that I cannot wait to return! Besides the excitement of Duval Street, the amazing scenery, and the lovely people, my Key West trip was also special because of my experience at the Albany Court. I used to work for a hotel as  a Supervisor so I am very observant when I call, check in and stay the night. Let me tell you from the phone call I made to the day I checked out, everything was awesome. I called on a Monday while visiting Ft. Myers and spoke to a wonderful person (I really apologize, I forgot their name). They answered questions regarding all of my concerns such as how close of a walk Duval Street was, what the rooms were like, and popular area attractions. I had originally made my reservation to arrive Wednesday but I got unexpectedly sick that morning and figured I couldn’t reschedule. Well I was wrong! They let me make my reservation for another day and accommodated all of my needs. This is top notch customer service. I really appreciated that.

Sunday, I left Ft. Myers bright and early and drove to Key West. A little tired once we arrived, we hoped we could check in although it was only 1 PM. I parked on the street and headed on in to check in. Wow the lobby was so quaint, updated, nice and cold!, and the refreshments were much needed. The super friendly woman (again I forget her name) welcomed us and was super helpful. She let us check in and told us where to park. We arrived at the room and were pleasantly surprised! It was gorgeous. It had a very clean, modern, yet Old Key West feel. We loved the ceiling fans – huge plus. The bedroom had two queen beds, a large bathroom area, and a cute little kitchen area. It accommodated four people easily. I also loved the beds and bathroom products- the Rusk lotion was great! After checking in, we walked to Duval which was only about four blocks away in the walk was just so beautiful seeing all the Key West homes along the way. I loved the location of this Inn, very quiet yet close to the action. The next morning we headed over to breakfast and let me tell you this might have been the best breakfast at a hotel I’ve ever had. Not to mention that it was free, it was fresh! I loved the bagels, croissants, fruit, cereal, coffee! Everything was super fresh and awesome! I told all of my friends and family to give this place a try for the breakfast. The courtyard where breakfast was set up was very nice. I loved the pool in the waterfall, it was very relaxing.

I hope to visit the Albury Court again someday and next time I’m visiting Florida I will definitely have to make a trip back. It definitely did not make me want to come all the way back to Massachusetts that’s for sure! I just want to say thank you for such a great trip and I will remember it forever.

Our stay at The Merlin Guesthouse was simply wonderful!  The rooms were quaint and clean, the Staff was very personable and helpful, and the location was perfect.  Also, the continental breakfast outside in the nicest setting was delicious.  Our next trip to the Florida Keys we will definitely be staying here again.  Thank you again for the great hospitality!

Hi,

My husband an I stayed at the Chelsea House 6/3-6/7 2014. absolutely wonderful, clean room, the continental breakfast was perfect for a quick “something’ before heading off to whatever we had planned. We live in port charlotte, fl. an we were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary, we have been to key west several times, and just stayed in regular motel/hotels.

I searched & searched for the perfect place, I wanted to see and stay in a historic inn, he left all the planning to me! We stayed in the “royal room” unbelievable- so pretty made me never want, to leave the staff so friendly, the pool was perfect, i love old historical buildings an found out we were actually sleeping in the old dining room, so looking forward to coming back again.

I will never search on the internet again. I have your card in my file an tossed all the others, walking distance was perfect- I wanted a place to park our car for fear of having to drive, we only drove to the a&b lobster house and eat it raw bar.  We cant wait to come back !  I have told everyone i know about  the historic key west inns but when we come back again room # 19 is all ours! Thank you again for making my 25th anniversary one that we will never forget.

Sincerely,

The Sniffen’s, tom an donna
