Is it time to go back yet?

The Cypress House Hotel, where my husband and I enjoyed a glorious long weekend, is everything that a boutique hotel should be …  and more! It is beautifully appointed, perfectly situated, and staffed by a warm, welcoming, and knowledgable team. The hotel is a noted historic property, and the team has taken great care in preserving its gorgeous 19th-century character (Edison bulbs in the porch lights! Original Dade County pine walls!) while updating it with modern, state-of-the-art amenities (Flat screen TVs! Rain showers! A glistening swimming pool!). Although just steps from historic and famed Duval Street, we spent just as much time enjoying the lush foliage and serene spaces at the Cypress House as we did on the town. We particularly enjoyed lounging on the quiet porches on sunny afternoons, partaking in the delicious and varied breakfast spread, and chatting with other guests at the complimentary “liming hour” where cocktails and locally inspired apps kept us all happy and full.

Throughout our stay staff was always attentive and friendly, and even helped us out when we wanted to rent bikes for a ride around the breezy island.

It was simply lovely to be able to stay close to the “action” of Key West, yet have the pristine privacy of this gorgeous hotel to go back to for a respite.

Our first visit to the Cypress House will definitely not be our last!

We enjoyed our stay at the Key Lime Inn. Room is typical size for a guest house and it was clean and modern. Staff was welcoming and nice, provided great recommendations for places to eat. Pool area was nice. What we did not like… the AC unit was loud, eventually had to put in ear plugs to sleep. There were huge upper windows that we had no way of covering, though we enjoy natural lighting, when you’ve spent a night on Duval Street, it would be nice to sleep in, perhaps we should’ve worn eye masks in addition to our ear plugs; lastly, the mulch throughout the property couldn’t help but be tracked all in our room, the floor got dirty real quick (though they sweep during afternoon maid service).

Very friendly and efficient staff. The continental breakfast was delicious and our room was very clean. The neighborhood roosters could have been a little quieter, but we would recommend Albury Court Hotel to anyone!

We really enjoyed our stay at Merlin Guest House!  The room was great, the staff friendly and helpful, and the location a block off Duval was in walking distance to the things we wanted to do. We did drive to Louie’s Backyard for dinner one night, and it was well worth the drive. We enjoyed the resident cat at the Merlin, Jordan del Gato, also! Check-in and check-out were handled quickly and easily.  We would stay there again.

We love staying at the Key Lime Inn. It was our second stay there and we would definitely come back time and time again. Great place to chill and relax, lovely cottages, the people and service are great, close to Duval street. It just adds to the ambiance of Key West.

We enjoyed our first visit to Key West in no small measure because the Key Lime Inn was great.  The room was clean, fresh and comfortable. The staff and all issues related to checking in and out were perfect.  We will be coming back and hope to be able to reserve the Key Lime Inn once again.

My husband and I stayed at the hotel and it was very nice beyond my expectation.  The front desk attendant Gail was very professional and beyond helpful. Upon arriving she explained every detail of our stay and gave us suggestions of places to visit.  The only (very small) negative is our toilet keep making noise.  Other than that I love this place.  It’s a little hidden secret.  Thank you!

We love staying in historic properties whenever we can. The Cypress House Hotel is a lovely inn and a wonderful place to spend some time….from a delightful breakfast to a dip in the pool, to Liming hour(s) in the evening, guests are relaxed and given every consideration. The feeling is luxurious and friendly. The surroundings are beautiful and the rooms are welcoming and quite sumptuous! We were so pleased that the hotel that we chose because of its history and convenience turned out to be a place we did not want to leave to go anywhere else in town!

Thank you for creating such a wonderful place to stay.

We had a wonderful week in Key West over New Years, and the Key Lime Inn was once again a wonderful place to call home during our visit. It is far enough off Duval St to be relaxing, but close enough to walk down for the New Years Eve festivities! The front desk staff (Michaelle) was friendly and helpful, adjusting our rooms and letting us leave our luggage in the office area when we arrived before we could check in. The pool was wonderful and the breakfast each morning was a good start to the day! This was our sixth visit, and we will be back!

I would like to start by saying I’m glad that this & all of the historic inns are still around for people to experience. The Albury Court Hotel was very quaint and quiet. The reason for my trip was a “wedding moon”. My husband & I got married in Tavernier & we wanted to explore most of the Florida Keys during our trip. The staff at your establishment were very helpful for first timers like ourselves. I hope to stay at all of their other historic key west inns hotels when we do return for many trips to come. The check-in & out were very easy. I wish there was a location to park when getting our luggage down but it is understandable with the location the hotel is in. We enjoyed many restaurants but we liked the Cuban restaurant a few blocks down (I can’t remember the name). It was really nice being somewhere that we didn’t have to drive a vehicle everywhere. Riding bikes around the nearby neighborhood was fun. We got to meet some fellow bikers that way as well.
