We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. A really great place to chill out and relax.

One suggestion would be to install two or three shelves in the bathroom between the toilet and wall to assist customers to leave their toiletries bag on them.

Other than that we could not find any other problem.

We will definitely be returning for another holiday.

This was a last minute booking and we could not have been happier. The lady who checked us in was very helpful (young brunette, very friendly) and the location was great. Close to paseo, the bakery, bike rentals, and not a bad walk to duval street.

Loved the fact that we had a little kitchen area, which I didn’t see online. Room was clean, air conditioning was going strong and enjoyed the b&b style/attitude. Space was a little tight but nothing major that we couldn’t deal with. My wife was very happy and I was too.

Thanks!

Hi! My partner and I came to Florida from Switzerland, and visited Key West as part of our trip. We were looking online for a hotel to stay in Key West, and weren’t too happy with the choices that were listed at first.

And then we found Merlin Guesthouse!

The pictures online looked really warm and inviting, and it made the hotel stand out more compared to the others that were listed in our search. We booked it, and looked forward to arriving at Merlin Guesthouse. As we arrived, we were more than surprised, and in a very positive way! The hotel was exactly how it was shown in the pictures and even more! The reception hidden away in a little office amongst the trees and plants,  super cute! The wooden houses kept upright from back in the days, gave it a”homey” feel. Not only on the outside of the building, but also inside the room we had wooden flooring. The room was clean and very welcoming made up. I would have jumped into bed right away because I was so tired, but instead I jumped into the pool because it was so HOT!  Breakfast was outside, poolside.

The location of the guesthouse is also perfect: Close to Duval Street where all the shops and bars are, and close to tourist attractions that are all in walking distance.  I mean almost all of west Key West is within walking distance, and the hotel is located perfectly, more or less, in the middle.

I can only recommend coming to Merlin Guesthouse. Kenneth, who greeted us at reception, made our stay relaxing and enjoyable from beginning to end. We even extended one more night! So, if you are in Key West, come stay at the Merlin! Maybe you’ll bump into Kenneth, or maybe even into Jordan, the hotel cat! :)

Friendly front desk staff.  When we checked in, Robbie gave us great advice and coupons for places to eat and have drinks. When we checked out the clerk made us reservations for a wonderful kayaking trip.  The room was very clean and unique.

Everything about our trip was magical at the Key Lime Inn.  From the minute that we arrived. The first person that we met was Clement and the last person that we saw before we left was Clement. I don’t think that gentleman ever sleeps! I am a true believer of 1st impressions can make or break your opinion. Well I have to tell you from that first moment everything about Key Lime Inn was wonderful. Checking in was fast and very professional. We stayed in # 14 and it was delightful. It was clean and the linens were crisp and  the bed was just right! Just perfect for the two of us. The house keeping staff was very responsive to our needs. The first day I asked for extra towels and right away they brought them to me. They also let me know at any time if we needed more just ask. The pool was charming and inviting. The front staff was great with explaining the area to us so we would not get lost. They recommended restaurants and things for us to do. Our favorite restaurant is El Siboney, a delightful cuban restaurant on Catherine and Margaret Streets. We loved it so much we went twice!

I would also like to add about your front of the house staff how gracious they were about letting me charge my fuel band. I left my fuel band with the front desk because it was running out of power. I came back a little while later to pick it up it still was not ready and they said not a problem come back later so I did. Thanks again, I would have been lost with out it!  The breakfast by the pool was delightful! An assortment of nibbles that was just enough to get your engine going. I will say at check out I was very sad, but only because I did not want to leave our home away from home. We will be back next year with bells on! I am hoping some our friends will join us! This was our first trip to Key West and will not be our last! Key Lime Inn you will forever be our second home! Thank you once again!

We were only in town for one night but were very pleased with the inn.

The place is so quaint I took pictures of the whole room on my Instagram!  Love the colors and style. Very peaceful and relaxing. The secluded pool and patio area were perfect we were able to walk comfortably every where and safely.

Love the place and would come again…

My husband and I stayed at the Cypress House for a quick getaway vacation.  We found it on the internet, and it was exactly as depicted online.  Alexander at check-in was welcoming and knowledgeable.  He gave a quick tour and made sure we were happy with the room.  The room was comfortable and very nice, and the location is perfect (near Duval Street and Mallory Square activities but not so close as to be noisy).  Breakfast was very tasty (an elaborate continental!) and ”liming” was an unexpected treat of different snacks and drinks each night.  We will definitely return and recommend Cypress House to friends!  Thank you for a great first trip to Key West!!!!
