We had an excellent experience from the get go with ‘Robert’ at the front desk (check-in/check-out), who greeted us with a big smile and made us feel welcome – What a great guy! He was very attentive to our needs and showed us the room before we confirmed our reservation. Front desk staffer ‘Kezzy,’ who was by Robert at check-out, was also very pleasant. The maid staff also greeted us with welcoming eyes and smiles.  We found the room to be spacious, clean and had no residual odors of smoke or strong cleaning chemicals that some places use to hide smells. Thankful to have none of those odors. The bed however, was a little smaller that the king that we are used to and firming than we like.  The continental breakfast was an added plus, with bagels and muffins, hard-boiled eggs, coffee and orange juice. The cottage setting amongst the trees was very nice and relaxing. Unfortunately we never made it to the pool, but it looked inviting.  We chose the Key Lime Inn for its location, as it was across the street from the St. Mary Star of the Sea Basilica, which was one of the reasons for our visit to Key West. The Butterfly Conservatory, not far from there was the other. Would definitely recommend the Key Lime Inn to others!

Really liked the Cypress House Hotel and the atmosphere. The staff was personable and friendly. Loved our room – it was comfortable, clean and private. We had a sitting area outside our room (#13). Liming Hour was very nice held every evening. What we liked the best about the Cypress House Hotel was that it was adults only. Bo’s Fishwagon just a few blocks away had a great Grouper sandwich. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone, it’s not your typical hotel.

Our room had ample space, a comfortable bed and nicely appointed bathroom. The breakfast was fine with the happy hour being a nice little bonus. The staff members were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is centrally located and quite convenient to many of Key West’s most notable attractions. A special thanks to Scott and Melissa.

Not only does the Chelsea House Hotel have a fantastic location near everything you want to see in Key West, but the staff were amazingly professional and helpful upon check-in and thereafter. When I got in the room, I was pleased at how nicely decorated it was with a modern, fresh, Key West vibe – loved it! The room was also really clean, which I was surprised and very happy about considering the humid conditions. But, then…. I dropped something important behind the dresser under the TV… I dreaded moving that furniture fearing my exceedingly comfortable level of cleanliness I had enjoyed would be instantly ruined. However, I moved the dresser and it was amazingly spotless underneath, not a piece of dust and the baseboards were immaculate (A true sign of a clean room). Waking up was just as enjoyable, popping out of my room to a poolside, generous continental breakfast just footsteps from my door. I was thoroughly impressed by the Chelsea House Hotel and am excited to stay there again, or in one of the sister properties. It was a really nice complement to a great trip to the Keys.

This hotel, actually 3 separate buildings, which are quiet, clean, comfortable and affordable. The check-in lobby is not grand, but they have a complimentary cold water/iced tea station and a desk with a printer for boarding passes. The front desk staff was very friendly, but not all of them were familiar with offerings around the hotel area and couldn’t offer a recommendation for camping supplies (I found an Ace Hardware across the street). That’s relevant because this hotel is located conveniently close (2 block walk) to the dock for both Fort Meyers and Dry Tortugas/Fort Jefferson Ferries. Since campers need to be at the dock early in the morning, this is comfortable hotel for the night before a camping trip. Thanks.

My husband and I stayed at Cypress House Hotel in late May/early June 2017. This is the 2nd Historic Key West Inns property we’ve stayed at – Merlin was the first – because we love the old Key West houses converted to modern, attractive hotels. Cypress house was the perfect location for us this stay because it’s just down the street from the Key West Ferry which we took from Ft. Myers. Add that to it’s just a block from Duval and about 3 blocks from Mallory Square. Lovely check-in experience with Melissa who let us know we’d been upgraded to a king bed room (thank you!). Sweet patio and pool where you enjoy a nice continental breakfast in the morning and house cocktails and appetizer in late afternoon. Our room was very comfortable, tasteful and quiet which is exactly what we look for. Can’t say enough nice things about the Cypress House Hotel. Held our bags after check out, too. Next time we come to Key West, we’ll definitely be staying here again! (Merlin Guest House too – but a bit farther from the ferry which is why we didn’t do a repeat stay there this time.)

We absolutely loved our stay in the Lighthouse Court Hotel. The front desk staff was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We knew each time we went down to ask them a question about the area they would give us great advice and a discount card (or two!) that made our short time there the best! The rooms were spacious and clean and the perfect place to come back to after a long day of exploring the rock. The other guests were very friendly as well making it feel like a little home away from home in the keys. You couldn’t beat the breakfast & happy hour by the pool either! Just thinking about it makes me want to go back!
