The team spirit is excellent, room clean, a smile during check-in. I recommend Chelsea House Hotel to a friend. Just one suggestion : some leafs in the swimming pool, but it’s not very important.

Regards

We flew down to Key West for a quick visit in April. Gulf Coast Airways flies from Naples Municipal to Key West in 35 minutes, and Linda had us checked into our wonderful 2-bedroom cottage at the Merlin Guest House exactly 1 hour after we left Naples!  The cottage had everything we could have needed and it was spotlessly clean. The beds were comfy and cozy and we had room to spread out a bit.

Linda pointed us in the direction of lunch at Caroline’s, just a short stroll from our Key Lime Bike Tour.  She was right—fresh, delicious and the drinks were icy cold. After our bike tour, we headed back to Merlin Guest House to relax and shower before dinner at Louie’s.  Linda was off, but her lovely colleague got us a cab and waved us off for a great outdoor dining experience. The next day, we had a delicious breakfast in the guest house garden and dropped our bags at the desk while we headed out for some water adventures.  By the end of the afternoon, we needed a cool place to relax, and we were welcomed warmly by the staff at Merlin Guest House.  Relax by the pool, she said.  Have an iced tea, she offered with a smile.  I’ll call you a cab in a half hour!  And so we did.

Perfectly located a long block off Duval, clean and inviting, Merlin is a great home base in Key West.  We will definitely return.  Maybe we’ll see you there!

This was our first time staying in the Keys! The young lady at the desk, Kaylee, was very helpful! She suggested different things in the area for us to do. She even booked the excursions for us. Our room was clean, and it was very quiet. The breakfast they provided everyone was delicious! Everyone we encountered was very nice, and went out of their way to make sure it was perfect. I would definitely recommend staying here. Can’t wait to go back!

I had the pleasure of staying at Cypress House Hotel recently. I stay in key west often and always at a guest house. I found the Cypress House staff to be the friendliest and most accommodating people I have dealt with. They actually cared about my situation of possible jury duty and helped me. I will definitely stay there again as the location is perfect also. I look forward to trying the other guest houses owned by this company. Immaculate room and delightful tropical grounds too. Thanks again.

We just returned from a stay in Key West at the Lighthouse Court Hotel. This is our third time there and we will definitely stay there again when we come back to Key West. The hotel desk staff are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Actually everyone that works there is very friendly. The grounds of the hotel are just incredibly beautiful. The rooms are very clean and quaint and each one is different.

Love sitting outside and eating the continental breakfast that is served each morning. And there’s nothing like a cold refreshing drink by the pool. We love the location of this hotel, right across the street from the Hemingway house. It’s far enough away from the action and loudness of Duval Street but close enough to walk there each day. Get some bikes as soon as you get to the hotel and explore all the island has to offer. Easy bike ride to Fort Zachary Beach and Mallory Square for the incredible sunsets. Awesome time. See you again soon.

Recently stayed 5 nights at Lighthouse Court Hotel (LCH). Appears to be longer than most stays, since we continually saw newbies at breakfast and in the pool area. Our first visit to Key West and for the most part, we made a great choice where to stay. I think the location of LCH is what won us over. You can hang out all you want in the mayhem that Duval Street offers, but to be able to walk home to the “quiet” end of town each evening was the deal breaker.

Room was good, modern amenities, have stayed in fancier, but that is not what you’re there for. Booked the king room so that we could have a mini fridge. So nice to be able to keep a stash of bottled water on hand. Pool was good, pool bar was ok, but wasn’t expecting anything fantastic…..if they didn’t have the bar, probably would have bought my own liquor and mixed my own. One thing that was odd was that upon check-in, you’re given a buy-one g get-one drink coupon, but the coupon only is valid up to $8, and not sure I saw anything but beer on the bar menu below $8, so they end up charging you the difference……OK, so I bought one drink and paid $1 for the second….not a big deal, but technically not buy-one, get-one….

The only downside we did have is oddly enough location related. I know I spoke about how nice it was to be able to escape the circus that Duval Street can be, but we spent a lot of time walking between the hotel and the west end where it seems that most activities were happening (Mallory Square, the marina). So, plan ahead and show up with good walking shoes if those destinations interest you.

From the welcome desk to housekeeping to groundskeeping, the staff is welcoming, helpful, accessible, and smiling.  The grounds are private, cozy, beautifully maintained, and a quiet retreat from the bustle of busy main streets. The rooms are comfortable and carefully appointed.  Every need is anticipated and seen to.  As a guest, I felt well regarded, welcomed, and cared for.  I hope we can return.

We can’t wait to come back. This was my 2nd stay here.  The last time I had a separate cottage. I’m hoping next time I will as well.

Chelsea House Hotel was a great place to stay. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The staff was very knowledgeable about the local area and recommended some great places to eat. We recommend trying Better than Sex dessert restaurant when you stay here. It was a fun experience. We enjoyed the second pool a lot by our room. Breakfast choices were the same every day but it was adequate. Our room was very spacious and the bed was really comfortable. We will definitely come back and recommend staying here for anyone visiting Key West. You can walk everywhere from Chelsea House. Loved the beautiful setting and the quiet area all around the hotel.
