If you want the above amenities along with a nice breakfast and daily happy hour in the middle of all the places you will venture too, this is the place. We had a spacious, clean room that balanced modern with historic touches and nice balcony.  Staff was super helpful, we didn’t need much on our visit but none-the-less they were attentive.  Parking is an issue, as is the case in KW at most places close to Duval/Seaport.  There is a parking lot across the street and the city parking garage a few blocks away.  The hotel provides a discounted parking pass at the garage – so check-in first and then go park.  Enjoy.

My husband and I spent two nights here in February. We found the property to be charming and staff to be pleasant and helpful. The location of the hotel was perfect. Easy walking distance to everything. The breakfast each day was very nice. I happened to love the wake up call from the roosters in the morning!  We would certainly stay here again!

Nice place to stay in Key West.  Front desk fellow (don’t know his name) was very helpful and friendly. Location was great, just off Duval street.  Room was clean and quiet.  I would stay there again.

My husband & I stayed in one of the deluxe king rooms.  It was spacious, quiet & very pleasant for a 3-night stay. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was large, sparkling clean, and beautiful!  I loved the natural light from the skylight!  The location was great!  We parked our car & walked everywhere. The grounds and pool area were lush & beautiful. We loved having morning coffee & evening cocktails on our private deck. Staff were friendly & helpful. My only suggestion is that the bathroom could use a curved curtain rod to provide a little more room in the shower.  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Merlin Guest House.

My wife and I planned our visit to Key West last fall. We found the Chelsea House Hotel online and investigated. We were interested in staying close to downtown and the idea of a historic hotel sounded great. We liked the vibe from the first phone call to get information, and decided to book 5 nights in February in a suite. We checked in 2/18. The process was easy and the staff excellent.

The room was generous in size and on the second floor.  As far as the comfort in the room, no complaints. We asked for softer pillows and Dennis accommodated. The breakfast offered all the usual choices in a continental set up, and we enjoyed eating around the pool. The office staff was helpful with information about sites to visit, and we did hit the main attractions; Hemingway House, Truman’s White House, Mel Fisher’s museum, Sunset at Mallory Square, Conch Trolley, all the music offerings at the local taverns, and the Lighthouse Museum. We enjoyed a couple drinks and Key Lime Pie at their sister Lighthouse Court Hotel, and the beach at Fort Zachery.

The housekeeping staff were very friendly and did a great job with the room. We rested in our room when we needed a quiet break and sat on the balcony. Key West was fun and funky with great historical presence. So the Chelsea was ideal for us. We walked everywhere, except to Fort Zachery. We do recommend the Chelsea House Hotel and would stay there again. Hopefully we will get another chance to visit KW!

We really enjoyed our stay, our whole group was booked in rooms near each other, which was nice. The employees were great and eager to help in any way! We came in on the Key West Express which was only a few blocks over, easily in walking distance. Everyday we had breakfast by the pool, and afternoons we took breaks by the pool as well during the heat of the day. Then back out for more fun in the evening! This is our 3rd trip to Key West and staying in one of their Historic Key West Inns hotels. They have all been great! Looking forward to our next trip! Thanks for our “Great Experience!”

We were in Key West for our 5th Anniversary. We had not made plans and we’re just going day by day. We found this place on our second day and stayed two nights. The room was very nice and clean. Hubby loved the breakfast spread. It was close enough to all the spots. We were on our Harley so parking was easy.

Can’t wait till our next trip!

Everything was very good! Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Would be extremely advantageous if our room had a micro_wave in it, or accessible in food area.

All in all, great time, good value, I would definately recommend to others.
