I would definitely recommend Chelsea House. The staff was very friendly and helpful and asked several times if our accommodation was ok. They recommended a restaurant (LaTeDa) which turned out to be wonderful. The food was excellent and the show upstairs was very entertaining.
Our room was clean and beds very comfortable. The breakfast was the only drawback. It consisted of coffee, orange juice, local pastries, toast, etc. The breakfast could be improved with scrambled eggs/bacon or sausage (some hot items).  I do not consider this a reason for not returning. I definitely would stay here again.

Thank you staff. You were great.

My wife and I recently have had the privilege to stay at the Key Lime Inn, Key West FL for the fifth time.  The property is fantastically located within walking distance to many wonderful museums, art galleries, restaurants, shops, bars, and all sorts of water related activities.  If you are not always up for walking, bicycle and scooter rentals are conveniently available.  The property is always kept up exceptionally well and the rooms by the pool have been quite nicely refashioned since our last stay.  The inclusive breakfast is perfect to get you rejuvenated for another day in paradise with a great variety of delicious choices.  The staff have always been amazing; they are extremely courteous, friendly, professional and willing to assist.  Thanks again for a truly wonderful stay…

The hotel was clean and charming.  I loved the breakfast by the pool and the staff was great (very friendly and accommodating)  My group really enjoyed themselves and would definitely come back again to stay.  Can’t stop talking about it…. great experience.

For the sixth or seventh time in a row, our “group” stayed at the Cypress House during our annual Key West Labor Day weekend.

And as always, from the remodeled rooms to the pool to the staff (thanks Dennis), the stay was excellent. Of course, you can’t beat their location one block away from Duval! Still miss the old happy hour (more food and drink than current regime) though. But for the money, location and amenities, you can’t beat Cypress House.

We’ll be back next year and with more friends!

Our weekend getaway from Sarasota was just perfect! Immediately upon arrival Matt at the front desk was courteous, attentive and informative. Reserving our Jr. King Suite online was easy as pie and he assured us it was ready and waiting after out 7 hour road trip and a late arrival.  As a caveat let me add that if one is looking for or expecting accommodations you’d likely find at the Hilton or the Waldorf then stay at either of those hotels. You won’t find it at Chelsea House and that, believe me, is just fine.  The property consists of 3 Victorian era buildings meaning they’re over 100 years old! It’s annoying reading reviews of historic hotels and B&B’s online from people who clearly didn’t do any research prior to their stay and then have the audacity to complain about it!  At any rate, the room was fantastic with its king sized bed, kitchenette, leather sofa, flat screen tv, spacious bathroom, plenty of closet space and our own private balcony overlooking Elizabeth St.  We didn’t engage any of the staff really as we were inclined to keep to ourselves and they were happy to oblige us, although their presence was certainly pleasantly noticeable.

The facilities and grounds were well maintained, beautiful and inviting. We rented an electric vehicle to help us get around and were able to park it as well as our own car at the hotel! Michael’s was recommended to us by the staff for a romantic dinner spot and it did not disappoint.  Other favorite gastro stops included Pepe’s (for breakfast), Joe’s Backyard (for a sunset cocktail) 2 Cents (for happy hour) and the fantastic B.O.s Fish Wagon for lunch or dinner.  I heartily recommend the Chelsea House and any one of the Historic Key West Inns hotels for a romantic and relaxing getaway. We’ll certainly be back!

We only stayed one night at the Chelsea House. It was a nice room, except bathroom was a little too small. We had a balcony room on the 3rd floor with a beautiful view of trees and the pool next door. Breakfast was great by the pool.

Staff was also very welcoming. Answered all of my questions and even recommended some great spots. The manager was also great.

The staff is amazing, knowledgeable and so friendly.  Checking in and out was a breeze.  Melissa told us about the best places to go and gladly made reservations for us.  For drinks (Camille’s for their bacon-infused Bloody Mary’s), meals (Better than Sex for dessert) and sunset cruise (Sebago has the best bang for the buck). She really made our trip a special getaway. The individual cabin was beautiful and very clean.  We loved the modern furniture and comfortable layout of the room.   Due to the very warm weather, we were not able to enjoy the cute private patio.  The grounds of the hotel are immaculate and what a bonus to have a parking lot at a centrally located hotel. Very few hotels have this. The pool area was perfect for a dip and it was thoughtful to have noodles for the guest to use. The included continental breakfast was just what we wanted – eggs, yogurt, cereal, bagels, juice, coffee, muffins and other baked goods. My only complaint is that the a/c unit in our room was a bit loud.  We will definitely recommend the hotel to others and look forward to coming back!

Our stay at the Key Lime Inn was wonderful. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The room service was very good and very accommodating. The free continental breakfast provided was very good. Free parking was a great amenity. The Inn was in a good location two blocks from Duval Street nearer to the Southernmost area of Duval. Unfortunately my two favorite restaurants were located on the Northern side. I would recommend making reservations at “Latitudes” for lunch and take advantage of Happy Hour at the “Boat House”. My wife and I really enjoyed the food at both places. Key Lime Pie at Kermit’s was also good. A nice and different dessert place was “Better Than Sex” that is located very near the Inn. The Inn is lovely. Wish we had more time to relax. So much to do on the Island and surrounding water. I would recommend the Inn to friends.
