Upon arriving at the Lighthouse Court Hotel, we found the grounds of the property to be immaculate.  The staff was extremely pleasant and went out of their way to to accommodate us.  The room was clean and the amenities were excellent.  The location is central to almost anything you could ever want to do or explore in Key West.  My wife and I are planning to return to Key West and we would definitely stay at the Lighthouse Court Hotel.  For the price and services, this has to be the best value in Key West.

Nice hotel with a very nice staff.

A couple things that would make it great.. We stayed in room 30, two queen beds, myself and my adult daughter. A mirror in the bedroom would be so helpful, so when one person is in the bathroom the other person could get ready, put on makeup, do hair etc… A full length mirror would be awesome!

We only stayed in Key West for a night.  We ended up booking a room here because our trip was kind of last-minute and all the other hotels in the area were either already booked or too expensive.  Didn’t realize until after we arrived that this was because it’s Spring Break.  However, we were so delighted once we arrived that this inn was in a great location and was a good experience overall.

The staff member that checked us in (Betsy) was very friendly, even at 8:30PM when we checked in.  The location on Truman Ave is just a very short walk to Duval St.  Even my very pregnant wife was able to walk around everywhere.  Close enough to all the action and yet far away enough that the noise doesn’t reach the inn.  Slept really well.  Nice pool area where they served breakfast in the morning.  Plenty of places to sit in the shade or lounge in the sun.  Another nice perk is on-site parking.  They have 3 parking lots.

We stayed in the main building on the 2nd floor.  Since it’s an old building, there’s no elevator.  This was fine for me since I’m young and can lug our bags up the stairs.  This could be troublesome for older or weaker folks.  The shared wrap-around balcony from our room was nice, too.  There is Wifi on the property but my smartphone had strong signal so I didn’t use it.  I think Betsy said the signal is strongest in the lobby and by the pool.  I saw some folks lounging in the lobby during the evening just to use the Wifi.

Will very likely book this place again.

The overall look of the hotel, courtyard and pool is amazing. All of the staff were very friendly including the front desk & all of the housekeepers. Our room was super clean and the grounds were beautiful. The location is perfect and we walked to the sights we wanted to see. We came for our honeymoon and ended up renting bikes that the staff got for us to go to the beach and even out to dinner! I really loved that part of island life. We loved the cute Mojito Bar where we got cappuccino’s in the morning and the best apple mojito’s at night. We’ll be back soon!

The hotel is adorable, small, cozy and really well located. It is a wonderful place to stay in Key West.

One of the people at the front office need to improve their attitude a little bit… she was a little tough and never smiled but the other lady (red haired) was amazingly sweet and attentive.

My wife and I enjoyed the Key Lime Inn during our visit last weekend even though the Keys had some of the coldest weather of the season.  One minor disappointment was the lack of any sort of writing material (paper, pens, etc.) in our room and even a missing TV cable channel guide. However, overall we had a great stay and plan to return in the future.

We had a great time in Key West and staying at the Merlin Guesthouse.  Everything is within walking distance and the staff is very nice!  We will return to the Merlin Guesthouse the next time we visit Key West.

Thank you!

We enjoyed our stay. The location was convenient, yet quiet, given that the Inn sits on Truman. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Room amenities were adequate and cleanliness was not an issue. Parking was a bonus, but a little tight at times. Continental breakfast provided was adequate, but did not vary much over our three day stay. It’s been a while since I last visited Key West…and I feel the “old” Key West charm is absent on days when cruise ships are in port.

We have been coming to Key West for over 20 years and have vacationed in many different accommodations.  We were very happy with our experience here and the value we got for the money spent.  The location was a big factor in us choosing to stay here as it is close to the Marina, Duval and Pepe’s (our favorite breakfast spot on Caroline).

The room (#11) was a nice size and we loved the newly renovated bathroom – the shower being our favorite.  We were right up on Simonton so we did hear traffic going by – but we can sleep through anything - so that did not matter to us as it might those who are light sleepers.  We also enjoyed the little patio with 2 chairs and a table right out front of our room.  The only ‘complaint’ being that those nice hardwood floors needed a good cleaning.  You could not walk around without having some dirt on the bottom of your feet.

We really enjoyed breakfast & reading the paper by the pool in the morning.  What a nice spread:  Bagels, pastries. breads, cereals, yogurts, fruits, milk, juice, coffee & tea and always something warm cooked up each morning.  Very nice considering this is not a Bed & Breakfast.  The paper (Citizen) was available each morning which we really appreciated.  I must say that I did not like the coffee (coffee snob that I am) so I hit either 5 Brothers (on Southard); Cuban Coffee Queen (on Caroline at Marina); or Plantation Coffee House (on Caroline) – Oh, and there is a Starbucks on Duval.

After gallivanting during the day, we always made it back to the Cypress House before happy hour (5:00) for a quick jump in the pool and to enjoy the appetizer & cocktail slated for that evening.  Don’t miss Sangria night – yum!  Very nice down time between day activities and heading out for the evening.

For dinner we hit our usual favorites:  Conch Republic Seafood House (ask for the Royal Reds if you like shrimp/lobster); Mangia Mangia; Roof Top; Michaels… We found a new place (for us) further down on Duval – Croissants De France – which will be added to our list of favorites.  Crepes were amazing!  We also went here for breakfast one morning and that was also amazing.

To end, we loved the historic buildings, beautiful grounds and the Key West feel sitting by the pool listening to music and meeting nice people at the Cypress House. The staff were all very friendly & accommodating. Thank you Christopher for printing our boarding passes!!  Send my love to Lady Bug – hope she is feeling better.
