We were very impressed with the hotel. The staff was all very friendly and accommodating. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay.  We will definitely be back!

Just loved the hotel and our stay there – I stayed in 7 different hotels on my crazy Florida trip and this is one of my favourites!

Front desk staff were particularly nice, friendly, informative.

Location – wonderful.  Although it might be nice to mark on the map good spots for sunrise/sunset as so many of the viewpoints are private property, which is a bit of a pain especially for sunrise.   I kept walking down to the shore, but as you can’t walk around the shoreline it got a bit frustrating.

The only real negative I have is that the little shelf in the shower made it annoying as everything kept dropping off – so it would be nice to maybe have a bigger stick on shower shelf for shower gel and shampoo.  Another annoying thing is that (please remember this was the end of the trip!) I didn’t realise the conditioner was conditioner as it is in a slightly different bottle – I thought it was another body lotion, so it was only as I was leaving I saw that.  Perhaps you could put the shower gel, shampoo and conditioner in the shower area on a shelf so things are easier.

Also, I HATE powdered creamer in my coffee so went to CVS to get fresh milk for the morning, and then you had the Hershey’s milk at breakfast.  Maybe you could put one of these in each fridge so you can do away with the plastic packets of creamer.  I also like real mugs – maybe you could have proper cups with your logo on and say if we want to take them just add it to your room charge.  Some hotels do leave products you can take and they just charge – maybe you could even leave some of that Key West Aloe in there – perfect for sun burn!

Thank you for a wonderful stay!

All the best, Pearl

The hotel staff was some of the most helpful staff I ever met. They were willing to answer all of my sometimes insanely repetitive questions. I had a great time in my one night there because of the staff’s uber-useful information.

Thank you!

We were so delighted to stay at the Key Lime Inn, as we love boutique hotels and we love Key West.  We have stayed at the Marquesa previously, but found that the price of the Key Lime Inn was about $100 cheaper – so we decided to try it.  We were given room 26 which was in the corner and offered a private patio area that was screen with lush tropical foliage.  We had absolutely NO road noise.  The staff was accommodating, and we couldn’t find anything to complain about except that the room safe was too small to accommodate all of our electronic gear, including our tablet computer.  That was it!  My husband loved the coffee.  We did not partake of the continental breakfast, as we have so many favorite breakfast places in Key West.  We will definitely come here again.

We stayed 5 nights at the Cypress House.  From the moment we checked in, we felt welcomed and at home.  The room was exceptionally clean!  The bedding was comfy.  Our front porch was a great place to chill and people watch. The pool was long enough to do a few laps! It was nice to eat breakfast by the pool.  Liming hour was a fun time to socialize with other guests.  Scott was so friendly and helpful, and he gave great recommendations for places to eat and visit.  The location was perfect. We did wish that smoking was not permitted by the pool.  A few times we left sooner than we wanted because someone lit up beside us. Our favorite Key Lime Pie was Matthesons.   Sloppy Joe’s was nonsmoking :).  Duettos pizza and gelato was yummy. Namaste sailing and snorkeling charter was a blast.  Pro fishing guide, Captain Kyle, made our day fishing a success!  So many things to do, but Cypress House was a great place to unwind and do nothing!

My stay at the Albury Court was pleasent. The room was very well kept up and the staff was very nice. The only problem I encountered was the noise above the room, I could here people’s foot steps all night and the distance from to Duval was quite far. I’ve stayed at a few of the Historic Key West Inns hotels and my favorite by far is the Key Lime Inn.

My family and I stayed in the Chelsea House for 3 nights – two rooms. Being the first time to Key West I had no idea what the experience would be. We all had a terrific time, ages 21 to 62 years old. Chelsea House is a great place to come back to after an exciting night. The rooms were huge, clean, beautiful, and comfortable. The grounds made you feel like you were in a private oasis. The breakfast was good except for the coffee but, we found a local coffee shop within walking distance. Location was excellent and a nice walk to Duval Street and all the action. I am hoping to stay at the other Historic Key West Inns properties upon my return to Key West.

My girlfriend and I stayed at Key Lime Inn in mid August and couldn’t believe how beautiful it was, and at such a great price! We got a package that included a snorkeling trip, which makes a great deal even better. We were shocked when we showed up that our room was actually a private cottage with it’s own patio. With the hotel only being 2 blocks from Duval Street, you really couldn’t ask for a better place to stay, and when we return there is no doubt about us staying there again!

I forgot to note that we had no issue parking and throughout our 4 day stay we saw the parking spots empty several times. Don’t let that stop you from staying at this hotel! It’s worth it!!

Some people say that Key West is not a family friendly vacation spot but our 4 night stay at Merlin Guesthouse with our 2 children ( 2 years and 8 mos) was the best family vacation ever!! We stayed in a queen suite, which was the most charming cottage that had fun and modern décor, and had a bedroom separate from the kitchen and bathroom…which is exactly what parents with small children are looking for. From the moment we arrived the staff was nothing but super welcoming and bent over backwards to accommodate us and our children. They brought out pool toys for them when we were swimming and cleaned our room according to our nap schedule…which just shows what excellent customer service they provide. The complimentary breakfast was one of the reasons we chose the hotel and it was awesome! They had little ham and swiss pastries from a local baker and various egg dishes, bagels, cereal, yogurt and fruit. The hotel also keeps fresh tea poolside which was perfect and refreshing in the Florida summer. They had on-point recommendations for dinner and things to do.

All in all, it was an awesome vacation and we couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay. We keep raving and recommending our friends to go there. We live in Fort Lauderdale so it was the perfect weekend getaway and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay at Merlin Guesthouses again.

Plus, our 2 year old daughter loved Jordan, the local cat, and just yesterday she asked that we buy her a book about Key West so she can keep remembering it. A perfect family vacation for sure!
