After 12 years of being together, Jeff and I decided to come down to Key West to get married over the July 4th weekend.  Our guests flew in from Connecticut, New Hampshire, California, Alaska, Florida and New Jersey.  Many of those stayed at the Merlin Guesthouse with us and couldn’t have had a more pleasant visit.  Kenny and Carol were the most accommodating, they even allowed us to have a welcome cocktail party on Friday night and helped us put everything together!  The grounds are beautifully groomed with flowers and greenery providing privacy and comfort, your rooms are clean and totally updated for everyone’s convenience and your staff was friendly and very knowledgeable about the wonderful experiences in Key West everyone wanted to enjoy.  Thank you so much for making our special weekend a wonderful memory.  We will be sure to visit again and again.  Debbie & Jeff

This was my first trip to Key West. I am so glad I found this hotel in my search for a place to stay! The staff is very friendly & helpful. We arrived by motorcycle well ahead of check-in time. Our room was not ready, but the clerk allowed us to put our helmets and jackets in the lobby while we explored the area. We were given a call on our cell when the room was ready. The room, a queen deluxe, was well appointed and comfortable. I liked that motorcycles and scooters were allowed to park in the shade of a tree, near our room. Breakfast was delicious and very satisfying. The location is only 2 blocks from Duval Street, and within walking distance of the night life, Mallory Square and shopping. This will be the only hotel for me when I return to Key West!

The front desk guest service agents were genuinely friendly and warm.  The room was absolutely delightful.  It was a cottage with a large room, seating area, well-appointed bathroom, and incredibly comfortable bathroom.  I would definitely recommend the hotel as one of the best in Key West.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, they answered all my questions and were happy to help us with finding locations we wanted to visit on our map.  Our room was clean, cool and comfortable.  The privacy provided by this inn was outstanding and made us feel right at home! The staff is eager to help, whether it’s asking directions or for more towels, they will tend to it immediately! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Key West.  Unfortunately, I did have one complaint, the pool is very small and is more like a hot tub which was not desirable in July!  The size of the pool would have been acceptable if only the water was kept at a cooler temperature.  This wasn’t much of an issue since we only stayed one night but if I were planning a longer stay, a cool, refreshing pool would be a must!

I had such an amazing experience during my stay at the Key Lime Inn!  The accommodations were gorgeous and comfortable, great location, wonderful staff.  Everyone was so kind and caring and accommodating.  I am already planning my next trip back!! I highly highly recommend it.  And I am not always an easy person to please with hotels….

I recently stayed (again) at the Merlin Guesthouse in Key West. This is by far, my favorite place to stay in all of the Keys. I’m a repeat visitor to the Merlin and plan to continue. The staff is always pleasant and helpful. The rooms are always fresh and clean. Breakfast is delicious. The patio/pool/spa area is lush, tropical and relaxing.

The Merlin is perfectly located to all of Key West’s attractions eliminating the need to further drive or find additional parking. Yet – it is always quiet and private.

I highly recommend the Merlin Guesthouse and anxiously look forward to my next visit.

Regards,

Anne Kington

My boyfriend and I decided spur of the moment to drive to Key West for an overnight stay last weekend. Your property was referred to us and after reading some online reviews, we booked the room and set out on the road. I had seen many previous reviewers comment on Room 11 in particular so I took a chance and requested that room. To my delight, the staff put us in that room and we loved it. Well appointed, charming yet modern, quiet and peaceful. The staff at check in were very friendly. Breakfast offered many choices and the pool was a refreshing treat after a hot day walking around Key West. On that note, the property is located right next to the heart of nightlife without being right in the middle of it. Wish we could have stayed longer! Thank you!

My friend and I recently stayed at the Merlin Guesthouse for 3 days and enjoyed our time. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff was awesome, especially Linda! Duval street is about one block from Merlin Guesthouse, so not only was walking accessible, but we also enjoyed our quiet time. Would definitely recommend Merlin Guesthouse to anyone visiting Key West, and plan on returning the next time I visit Key West.

After driving for 7 hours straight to get to Key West, in the middle of humid and hot July, me and my boyfriend were exhausted, but we still found the way to The Lighthouse Court Hotel without effort. It’s right across from the Hemingway House and looks like the tropical paradise. We even found a parking space right in front of the hotel!

At the front desk we were met with a smile and a very helpful attitude. Check-in and check-out was perfectly brief and easy. When we asked for sights to see we got tons of suggestions – all good ones! (I’m sorry I don’t remember the managers name, she was truly wonderful!)

The room was a bit small and didn’t have a mini fridge, but it was spotlessly clean, inviting and very comfortable. We didn’t mind the size since we were in Key West to see the sights, not to hang out in the hotel – which we easily could have done at this place. It was the perfect spot for us with it’s beautiful 19th century buildings, palm trees and a lovely pool area. We actually didn’t want to leave the hotel.

Since we only stayed one night I can’t comment on the housekeeping but can’t imagine anything less than perfect.

I would love to stay there again and will surely do so if I come back to Key West. I sincerely recommend The Lighthouse Court to anyone going to Key West, but especially couples or smaller groups.

There’s no better place to stay in Key West than the Cypress House.  There is a daily hot breakfast and daily liming hour (aka: the art of doing nothing) included.  Alexander allowed me to park in his parking spot twice.  Chris delivered frosty pops to me as I lounged around the pool.  Chris also helped us secure our trolley passes, told us to check out Pepe’s and pointed us to the library for more Key West history.  Dennis was phenomenal and also shared Key West history with us.  Scott was funny and insisted we leave our dirty dishes and wet towels strewn about to ensure his job security for cleaning up after us pesky tourists.  We refused to listen being the stubborn Americans we are.  Scott shared that Europeans follow his directions so much better than we do.  The Cypress House is historic with character and beautiful gardens and the rooms have a modern clean European feel.  The location is ideal in the north end of old town.  We plan on returning and staying at the Cypress House again – this is truly the best place to stay, best location, best service and the only place to embrace “liming hour” – the art of doing nothing every evening at 4:30pm.
