Stayed 3 happy nights in Key Lime Inn. Great location–center of town, few blocks from Duval Street, Hemingway, restaurants, marina, etc. Inn is mostly small cottages that give a very different feel from a hotel. More privacy, quiet, relaxed. Lovely pool, grounds. Bed was great with lots of pillows, etc. Staff was absolutely wonderful. Gave us great recommendations–and some coupons–for restaurants. Had one minor problem which was fixed quickly and completely. NO question, we would stay there again.

I was in Miami on business for two weeks, and I decided to visit Key West for the weekend. I only stayed for Saturday night at Lighthouse Court, but I wish it could have been longer.

The staff were very friendly at the front desk and were full of pointers for good places to check out for food, drinks, and sightseeing. The bars/restaurants they recommended were all very local-type places – nothing touristy, which is good.

The room was small, but very clean and pleasing to look at. It had a queen bed, a small closet for storage with an iron and ironing board, and small bathroom. My room’s location wasn’t the greatest in terms of exterior view (window and glass door look out to a wall underneath the second story), but it was located right next to the entrance to the inner courtyard, so I didn’t really care.

The inner courtyard is very nice, with a deck/patio area with chairs, tables, and a hammock, and another area with the pool, tables/chairs and mojito bar (which I did not visit). The whole inner courtyard is nicely lit at night, so it’s a place you could sit and enjoy a drink with others.

The location of the inn is great as well – one block from Duval St. and just a few blocks down from where the action starts. It’s a perfect combo of quietness and peace close enough to the mayhem.

If I have a chance to return to Key West for a longer stay next winter, I will definitely try to reserve here first.

Chelsea House is an ideal place for anyone to stay. It’s location is perfect to Duval street.

The pool was nice and warm for this time of the year and it was nice to be able to relax beside it in the evenings.

The room was nice and clean as was the bathroom and we had a deck out front to sit on in the evenings and watch people go by.

Reception staff were very helpful and friendly.

I would definitely recommend Chelsea House to friends and family.

I discovered the Merlin House, by chance.  Was concerned before arriving that it wouldn’t be what we expected.  Was I ever surprised and, especially pleased.  The staff, the rooms, the surroundings, were all great.  The room was very nice and very clean.  All the staff, including cleaning personnel, were friendly and very helpful

My husband and I, unfortunately became very sick, while there.  The hotel couldn’t have treated us better.  The desk clerk, Linda, actually came to our room that evening to change our linens since we could hardly get out of bed.  Everyone was  so helpful and kind.  They certainly went above and beyond.

I can’t wait to visit Key West again ,,,,and we will  definitely want to stay at the Merlin Guesthouse.

I researched Historic Key West Inns online and I feel that our choice of the Lighthouse Court Hotel was excellent. We stayed just one night in the D unit. Next time I want to stay more nights! We got off the Ft. Myers-Key West ferry, walked 3 blocks to Eaton’s bicycle rental and biked over to the hotel. We were 2 hours before check-in, but the desk clerk said our rooms were ready, so she gave us the keys and a 2-for-one drink ticket at the Mojito Bar. She seemed pleased that we arrived by bicycle, and there were several bike racks in front where we had already locked our bikes. I went for a swim in the lovely pool while enjoying my mango drink and the resident rooster.

This is a nice sized place, not too big. It’s got several cottages surrounding the pool area. Some of the rooms are on the 2nd level.

Our room was very clean, the bathroom very large, and we had plenty of towels including striped swim towels. The morning breakfast was more than we expected: coffee, tea, orange juice, fresh fruit, dry cereal & mik, yogurt, ham/cheese croissants, bagels and toast. We split the croissants and toasted them in the nearby toaster oven. Yum! Breakfast service officially started at 8:00, but it was closer to 8:30 by the time everything was brought out. That was not a problem, though, as we left our room at 6:45 a.m. to watch the sunset and found take-out Cuban coffee nearby.

My California cousin will be visiting Key West next month, and I will insist that he stay at the Lighthouse Court hotel.

Thanks to Aylenna and Betsy — their help made our stay in Key West so enjoyable!!  They were so helpful with information about where to eat, tour recommendations and just general information.

Our room was great — on the second floor we had a nice view of the pool, the roof tops and the beautiful trees and flowers on the property.  Our private porch was a great place to enjoy morning coffee.

This place is in the PERFECT location to everywhere! The staff are great and the room smelled so good and was so clean when we checked in. We are DEFINITELY coming back next January. The only reason I gave 4 out of 5 stars is because the bed was quite firm, but later learned that they offered mattress pads for a plush nights sleep. I would recommend this place to everyone!! Room 21- we will see you next year! Thank You Key Lime Inn

When our extended family gathered for Christmas 2012 in Key West, we all stayed at the Key Lime Inn.  We’d booked 5 rooms for 4 nights, and all ages had a great time.  The hotel was impeccably clean, and the patio around the heated pool was a wonderful place to gather.  The staff was cheerful and very helpful.  We got excellent dining suggestions from the desk staff, and location of the hotel was convenient for walking anyplace in town.  We were very pleased with our stay!

Perfect location. Great room. Nice setting. Only room for improvement would be: new upper deck, better product in bathroom, less roosters in middle of night! :)

Loved Santiago and Blackfinn restaurants.

Look forward to returning in 2014!
