Hi, it isn’t easy to put down one’s experiences judging hotels, motels or B&B’s, but since I stuck my neck out persuading my bicycle buddies to trust me on picking lodging for Key West, we all came away with a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

The front dest from check in to after hours gave information that helped us enjoy Key West’s gems. From Tiki Bars to restaurants and more local walking distance shops, we felt confident being directed to great spots.

The rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet. What really hit the spot was being able to sit upstairs on the porch roof. Breakfast was a treat siting poolside and sharing information with the company of fellow travelers. The one other thought was how convenient the hotel was located for our needs. Especially the laundromat!

Thanks for a wonderful stay.

My friend and I planned a last minute trip to Key West. We are both in college so to say we were on a budget would be an understatement. After looking for hours at different places and reviews we decided to stay at the Chelsea House. We couldn’t have been more pleased. The room was clean, the location was perfect and best of all for us it was economical. The breakfast was also a pleasant surprise in the morning, plenty of choices.

I would highly recommend the Chelsea House to anyone traveling to KW. I am already looking into planning a return trip.

We stayed for 2 nights in August. Our first room had a problem with the door lock- we told the desk and were moved immediately to an upper floor room facing the street. It was great! Clean and comfy. The people at the front mentioned it might be noisy from the street traffic but it didn’t bother us at all. The happy hour had a nice selection of snacks and drinks. Breakfast was good- set up in the kitchen off the pool area. We found the place to be comfortable and the staff welcoming and helpful.

The Cypress House was a nice place to stay. Location was great! Very close to Duval. Our room was on the third floor. It was very clean, bright and pretty large with a large bathroom. A/C was a window unit which worked well to cool the room. It was 89 degrees and humid outside. The pool is large for a Key West inn. Most are very small and theirs is a good size while still surrounded by island plants and trees. The  front staff was super nice! We got to the inn very early in the day, well before check-in time, but the staff showed us around and welcomed us to enjoy all the property until our room was ready, and we felt genuinely welcome. The hallway of the Cypress House is not air conditioned. Of course, this is an old inn so I can’t say this is a negative, just wanted to note. The only real negative for us was the very loud street noise. Our room was on the corner closest to a busy intersection and on the third floor. Again, no fault of the inn, just wanted to mention in case future visitors are light sleepers.  Overall, it was a nice stay and I would stay there again.

My daughter and I, along with a good friend and her daughter, stayed on a Thursday night at Key Lime Inn.  We made reservations at the last minute and spoke to a very personable lady on the phone.  When we arrived we were early and the ladies at the front desk were so nice and welcoming, they gave us ideas on where to eat and what to do.  We were sent a text when the rooms were ready.   We had the deluxe king room with a small patio.  Our room was clean, and well appointed.  We felt safe and slept well on the comfortable bed.  The complimentary breakfast had a good selection of food and drink and was served poolside.  All in all our stay was one of the many high points on our trip to Key West and we would definitely stay there again.

First, I would like to thank the staff at Cypress House for their personal service and attentiveness to our needs.  Thank you.  You are all amazing!

The Cypress House Historic Inn is a collection of  3 homes, dated from 1888, and beautifully decorated with a mix of antiques and modern amenities.  Our room had a beautiful antique shiferobe.   The bathroom had all the modern conveniences yet tastefully decorated to blend in with the historical feel of our room.

Cypress House in is conveniently located blocks away from the Key West Express.  We were able to walk with our luggage to the Inn from the Port.  We were also one block from Duvall St., which is the main street with shops, restaurants, and entertainment.  That said, just about any street we walked or rode our bikes on had a something that would interest anyone.

The staff works with a bicycle rental company that dropped off our rental bikes to the door and picked them up from the door.  Talk about convenient!  Since the Key West express doesn’t take off for Fort Myers until 6pm, we didn’t know what to do between check out time and 5pm.   Again the staff accommodated us and allowed us to keep our luggage safe, while we were allowed to use pool, bathroom, and walk around town to do more sight seeing.

Our room was spotlessly clean.  Every morning breakfast was served with a selection of hot or cold food.  “Liming Hour” was also another perk, cocktail and a light snack before dinner around the pool under the sheltered patio.  Even though it was 90+ degrees, the outdoor patio never felt hot as the fans and shade kept us comfortable.

My husband and I both enjoyed our visit at the Cypress House.  As we’re not big drinkers, we did hang around the pool and the staff took time to talk to us as if we were a family member visiting their own home.

We give Cypress House 5 pineapples, 5 stars.   If we ever return to Key West we wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

We love this place. It is friendly, clean, lovely personnel and rooms. We stay every year and have only great things to say about our stays. The lush grounds and helpfulness of all staff should be complimented.  Definitely stay here!

The Lighthouse Court Inn is a lovely bit of Paradise only a couple blocks away from all the “insanity” on Duval Street. The location is perfect…. very quiet at night. You can walk to everything. Our room was quite small but comfortable. The light continental breakfast is nice way to start your day. Robbie and Denise at the front desk couldn’t have been more helpful and the housekeeping staff were polite and friendly. Check out the entertainment at Sloppy Joe’s….awesome..so much fun there! Thank you everyone for a great 3 night stay.

Thanks for your hospitality during our stay this past weekend, Aug 8-11.  This was our first time staying within your properties. We loved that your place was very convenient (bicycle riding and walking) to all places East and West.  While the room itself was  a little small, it is not beyond my expectations for a place in Key West.

Thanks for making our stay enjoyable.

My husband and I found Albury Court on Hotwire when planning our short-trip to Key West.  When we arrived, the front desk staff were very friendly and checked us in quickly.  Our room was one of the cutest and nicest rooms we’ve ever been in: a very comfortable king size bed, clean and updated bathroom, and a fireplace (a bonus feature we didn’t know we would get!).  Our room also was off to the back a bit by itself and overlooked the pool, so it was another wonderful surprise and we just loved it! The pool was great too!

The location was about a 8-10 minute walk to everything on Duval St., but is far enough away that parking our rental car on the street was pretty easy.  The breakfast featured nice pastries/goodies from local bakeries and it was the perfect amount before heading out to the beach.  We will definitely stay at Albury Court again on our next trip to the Keys!  Thank you for making our short trip great!
