We spent 3 nights over the New Year at Chelsea House. Our reception was extremely efficient and welcoming for us and our German Shepherd who we decided to bring at the last moment. The property has 8 pet-friendly rooms so make sure they can accommodate your pet in advance. Our room was clean, comfortable and parking was convenient and included with our package. As noted in other reviews, we did not have a closet but there were hooks to hang clothing in the room. The pool area is nice and gardens are lush. The location is perfect for walking to all of the venues on and surrounding Duval Street. We enjoyed our stay very much and will definitely stay at Chelsea House again.

My partner and I had a great stay at The Chelsea House in Key West over the at the end of 2012. Bryan, the host greeted us on our arrival and although we had only spoken on the phone he was friendly, warm and very helpful. When we walked in the front door he seemed genuinely glad to see us and made us feel very welcomed. The guesthouse and ground were well maintained and the pool sparklingly clean. The clothing optional deck was private and comfortable. Our room was beautiful furnished, well maintained and spotless and the king size bed very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful and the property is lucky to have Bryan on hand to welcome the guest and keep things flowing in a professional but friendly way!!

Loved the vibe of this place the minute we pulled in. The grounds were very tropical and little paths around the individual “cabins” were fun to stroll around. There were just little touches like a tree swing and the private little patios adjoining the individual detached rooms were a nice surprise. The room was immaculate, well appointed, very restful…cherrywood floors, tropical pastels, palm fans over the four poster bed. All that and a five minute walk to Duval Street. I will definitely stay there again. There are those people that insist that you are at Key West for the night life and a room is just a place to sleep; I disagree. After a busy day and great evening out the prospect of returning to a special retreat is important…the frosting on a cake. Or should I say, the chocolate coating on Key Lime Pie on a stick!

We stayed at the Key Lime Inn recently while in Key West on business. It was so nice to have parking on site! Breakfast was adequate, though served late one morning and that happened to be a morning of 9:00 meetings. We believe you could provide your guests a better night’s sleep with some new mattresses and hope that will occur before we return. Thank you!

On a whim a girlfriend and I decided to spend the night in Key West after only spending a few hours on Duval St. As we were walking towards our car we noticed a Vacancy sign on one of your sister Inns. We went into the reception area in hopes that we would find a room for the night. The front desk agent was extremely helpful and friendly. She was able to call Key Lime Inn to make sure they still had one room left, out of all six properties we were luckily enough to get the very last room, she checked us in at that location and gave us great directions to Key Lime. So that when we arrived we knew we had the room. We received our keys and once again had very friendly front desk agents assisting us. We walked to our room and walked in and were very pleased with our decision to stay with your resort. The room was spacious, clean, and decorated very nice. The refrigerator came in handy. The location was perfect for our Duval Crawl, no taxis needed. I would stay and recommend it to all of my friends. We do plan on going back to Key West to spend more time there, and certainly considering using your resorts again!

Thank you for a wonderful experience!

We can’t say enough to say how much we enjoyed our stay. The Staff is #1!!  From the office staff to the lady that cleaned our room. They went out of there way to make our stay the best we have had in our 6 trips (first time there) to Key West.  The room was so clean and we enjoyed the Liming hour meeting other guests. Friendly, warm, funny, giving you a family caring for you feeling. And a thanks to Lady Bug for her warm greetings and company by the pool! We were there for our 35th anniversary and can’t wait to come back.  We have and will recommend anyone going to Key West to try the  Cypress House.  Thank you again to the staff of the Cypress House for making our time there the best!!!!

Stayed 3 happy nights in Key Lime Inn. Great location–center of town, few blocks from Duval Street, Hemingway, restaurants, marina, etc. Inn is mostly small cottages that give a very different feel from a hotel. More privacy, quiet, relaxed. Lovely pool, grounds. Bed was great with lots of pillows, etc. Staff was absolutely wonderful. Gave us great recommendations–and some coupons–for restaurants. Had one minor problem which was fixed quickly and completely. NO question, we would stay there again.

I was in Miami on business for two weeks, and I decided to visit Key West for the weekend. I only stayed for Saturday night at Lighthouse Court, but I wish it could have been longer.

The staff were very friendly at the front desk and were full of pointers for good places to check out for food, drinks, and sightseeing. The bars/restaurants they recommended were all very local-type places – nothing touristy, which is good.

The room was small, but very clean and pleasing to look at. It had a queen bed, a small closet for storage with an iron and ironing board, and small bathroom. My room’s location wasn’t the greatest in terms of exterior view (window and glass door look out to a wall underneath the second story), but it was located right next to the entrance to the inner courtyard, so I didn’t really care.

The inner courtyard is very nice, with a deck/patio area with chairs, tables, and a hammock, and another area with the pool, tables/chairs and mojito bar (which I did not visit). The whole inner courtyard is nicely lit at night, so it’s a place you could sit and enjoy a drink with others.

The location of the inn is great as well – one block from Duval St. and just a few blocks down from where the action starts. It’s a perfect combo of quietness and peace close enough to the mayhem.

If I have a chance to return to Key West for a longer stay next winter, I will definitely try to reserve here first.

Chelsea House is an ideal place for anyone to stay. It’s location is perfect to Duval street.

The pool was nice and warm for this time of the year and it was nice to be able to relax beside it in the evenings.

The room was nice and clean as was the bathroom and we had a deck out front to sit on in the evenings and watch people go by.

Reception staff were very helpful and friendly.

I would definitely recommend Chelsea House to friends and family.

I discovered the Merlin House, by chance.  Was concerned before arriving that it wouldn’t be what we expected.  Was I ever surprised and, especially pleased.  The staff, the rooms, the surroundings, were all great.  The room was very nice and very clean.  All the staff, including cleaning personnel, were friendly and very helpful

My husband and I, unfortunately became very sick, while there.  The hotel couldn’t have treated us better.  The desk clerk, Linda, actually came to our room that evening to change our linens since we could hardly get out of bed.  Everyone was  so helpful and kind.  They certainly went above and beyond.

I can’t wait to visit Key West again ,,,,and we will  definitely want to stay at the Merlin Guesthouse.
