This location was wonderful-perfectly situated in the middle of everything, yet still quiet and peaceful. The courtyard was great, loved the pool and the continental breakfast. Our guestroom was good for 4 of us, but a little noisy in the mornings with the breakfast carts going around us. The bathroom was in need of a slight renovation, but other than that, the unit was nice…it was also very Clean! The staff was wonderful…friendly and helpful…very nice! Overall very nice place.  We enjoyed our stay.

…. amazing is all I can say about our trip. Even so we only stayed for 2 days/1 night, we had the best time. The Key Lime Inn was great and we definitely will book  there again when we come back.  What will be soon :-)

Thank you,

Gabi

We had a great stay at your Inn and if we ever return to Key West we will stay at one of your hotels for sure!  The rooms were clean and your continental breakfast was perfect.  The staff was always very helpful and kind as well.  Please note that the following ‘complaints’ are very minor and only written to perhaps make another couple’s stay even better than ours was.

We stayed in room A8 which connects to a gate that enters the pool area.  The gate constantly slams and it is very annoying.  Perhaps something could be done to prevent it from being SO loud to its adjoining room.  The second complaint is also a noise issue.  There is a table and chairs set up right outside the bedroom window.  Every morning at 7:30 AM another couple sat in that same seat and we could hear EVERYTHING they were saying.  I’m sure they didn’t want us hearing their conversation and I know we did not want to be woken that early on our vacation.

That’s it!  Thank you again for making our honeymoon that much more perfect.

As we sit here in our Wisconsin home with the fireplace blazing in expectation of our first winter blizzard of the season, we are happy that we were able to enjoy the beautiful weather in the Florida Keys this past week.  We have actually stayed at The Merlin House, The Chelsea House and finally last week at the Key Lime Inn.  Your Inns are truly wonderful and it’s hard to actually choose a favorite.  We were in room #11 and the accommodations were fine.  One thing I would suggest is to perhaps have a full length mirror in the main bedroom as well as a bench at the foot of the bed for sitting.  Over-all our time in Key West was very enjoyable.  We also spent 2 nights in Key Largo at Dove Creek Lodge. This was our second year there as well and we were upgraded to a 1-bedroom suite which we truly appreciated.

I hope your Holidays are very happy and the New Year brings many blessings.  Enjoy your warm weather and your beautiful state!  We hope to stay with you again at one of your properties on our next visit to the Conch Republic.

Sincerely,

David & Leonita Loomans

Recently stayed at the Key Lime Inn.  Second stay this year, July and Dec.  Find the inn a good place to stay due to the location.  Minor finds in the hotel room such as minor toilet leak, and sink drain slow, were bearable. Would stay again in the future because I like the pool and the area around the pool - comfortable.  It appears there is only one unit with a double bed.  I had to grab this unit early in the year when I was bringing my family down – wife and two college aged daughters.   Had to book early to get that room for my 2 daughters.

On our last trip to Key West, we booked the Key Lime Inn, an Historic Key West Inn.

A little Hotel with a parking lot, a pool and a Continental Breakfast.

The rooms were clean, the staff were very friendly and the rates were moderate.

It is only a few minutes from Duval Street, so you can enjoy the music, the fun and the sundown not far away from the hotel.

On our next visit we’ll be coming back to the Key Lime Inn.

Our bedroom (#6) was wonderful!!!  Staff were all very friendly and helpful.  Having the parking garage which we paid through the hotel worked out very well.  The sink in the bathroom, although very pretty is difficult to use because of the depth.  The cooked part of the breakfast was not great looking and the same thing was out for the 2 days we were there for breakfast….we didn’t try it but maybe it was good…..the location was great….we would definitely stay here again on a trip to key west.  Loved the drinks and snacks in the afternoon ‘Liming’ ….fish pate was excellent!!!

The Merlin Guesthouse was a perfect place for me to stay while I was in town for one of my best friend’s wedding in Key West.  Especially as I was traveling alone without family, I wanted a safe place, centrally located and warmly welcomed.  Even though I arrived after the 10pm check in time when your office was open, Kenneth was kind enough to offer to stay an extra 1/2 hour to check me in, hand me my key and show me my room.  The room was clean, quiet, cozy and soothing.  Breakfast the next morning was good assortment of strong coffee, cold orange juice, blueberry muffins, bagels/toast apples, and yogurt.  Perfect options for a lite breakfast to start the day.  The courtyard was beautiful and the tables and chairs were charming and comfortable.  The only thing to make this stay a 5 star was an improvement on the bed and pillows.  My bed had no support in the mattress and the pillows were very thin and uncomfortable.  By the second night, my back was aching as much from all the walking and wedding prep as the no support in the bed.  With a better mattress and fluffier pillows, this would’ve been a 5 star rating.  Staff were great, place was clean, location was ideal and easy to get to everywhere with a short walk, air conditioning and tv a plus, and felt like a very “historic” key west property.  Worth another visit if I can ensure a better mattress!!
