I can not say enough good things about the Merlin Guest House. Their staff was amazing and caring to our every need. The location is beyond convenient to shopping, eating and recreation. The rooms are perfect for journey needs. Our bed was so comfortable I didn’t want to get up. We have already decided to make getting back to Key West and the Merlin Guest House an annual event. I look forward to seeing Linda and Kenneth again.

We have been visiting Key West since 1996 and have stayed at Cypress House Hotel for over 20 years. The rooms are always clean and inviting and we enjoy our time in a relaxing atmosphere. The staff is always pleasant and helpful. The location at Caroline and Simonton is perfect for us. Many of our favorite spots are nearby – Pepe’s, Turtle Kraals, etc. We’ll be back next year for another few days in paradise….

We have stayed a number of times at the Key Lime Inn, but this year we brought our entire family. This entailed some special circumstances since we had 13 people ages 6 to 69. Mary Simmons was extremely helpful fulfilling our room needs during the booking process. Once we made it down, everyone absolutely loved the quaintness and peacefulness of the hotel. Everyone wants to come back to Key West and they all want to stay at the Key Lime Inn. In fact, my son got engaged while he was there and they are coming back to Key West for their honeymoon next November and want their same room back. Thank you so much for helping make our family vacation such a grand success.

We booked a room for one night at the Chelsea House Hotel because the price was reasonable and the location looked good. We were not disappointed. The staff were professional, courteous, and helpful. When we got to our room, we noticed the blind for the window right over our bed would not close. We informed the front desk and they replaced the blind within minutes. Even though our room was on the small side, it was more than adequate for at least a few nights stay. The room had its own porch (with a bench) and a private entrance. Our only small complaint about the room is that the air conditioning unit was running most of the time, so this noise competed with watching TV or listening to music. The location is great, only two blocks from Duval Street and two blocks from Seven Fish, a very good seafood restaurant. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

We stayed two nights in a room with a shared roof deck and it was delightful.  Walkable to bars and restaurants and quiet and clean with its own pool and courtyard for breakfast.  We drove from Miami airport and parked across the street and never touched the car until it was time to leave.  Friendly staff and a great location in the old town to be near everything (Hemingway house, southernmost monument, Duval Street etc) but not overwhelmed by the craziness.

Duval Street is a trip, but as a couple, we found the best music and food just off Duval (Green Parrot, Blue Macaw Island and Thirsty Mermaid) where prices were lower and atmosphere better.

Key West is just  a real interesting place and a great escape for a winter weekend.

This was our second trip to the Keys.  Both times stayed at the Key Lime Inn on Truman Avenue.  Great location, easy access to the attractions of Key West.  Rooms clean and neat, good breakfast area, with a good place around the pool to relax and plan the day.  Will return again.

I forgot to mention the staff!  Everyone of them were great, and they knew just where to go for great food, who to rent our bikes from, and how to get around.  Ken at the front desk was so thorough, and one gal was leaving to move back to Michigan and she was delightful as well.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Merlin Guest House and we will be back.  It is a lovely setting, the rooms were well appointed, the kitchen, dining and living room made the entire place feel so spacious!  And then there’s the morning coffee and breakfast!  Now, I’ve never stayed anywhere that has offered such a lovely assortment of breakfast foods and the presentation was superb.
