We have been to Key West several times & have stayed at many places & this 1 tops them all. The location is perfect, just 1 block off of Duval Street directly across the street from the Ernest Hemingway house. It is quite decieving from the street as it is actually quite a large property. The courtyard and pool/bar area just make this property, as you can come back here, kick off your shoes & just relax away from the madness of Duval Street, and not even realize where you are as it is so peaceful. There are many varying different room sizes, so choose what works best for you. We stayed in C-1 and absolutely loved the location of the room.

We Looked for a place to stay close to Duval, but out of the crowds, and Lighthouse Court fit the bill. We were pleased, room was nice, clean, and looked exactly like the photos. We were so close to everything, we parked when we arrived, and didn’t move the car until we left 4 days later. (all the reviews are right about the parking…there’s virtually none, but that’s nothing new for Key West).  We loved our stay and will be revisiting in October! (not driving this time!) :)

We had a weekend stay here early this month & could not have been happier. From check-in to check-out, actually pre check-in to post check-out, the customer service is second to none. Always smiling, pleasant, willing to do whatever it takes to make you feel welcome. (not like a couple other not to be named places that make you feel like they are doing you a favor by letting you overpay to stay at their B&B). Our flight landed at noon & they held our bags for us & called us when our room was ready…2 hours before check-in time. There was a huge rain storm the afternoon we checked out & they let us shower & get cleaned up before our flight!!! We stayed in the economy queen room & couldn’t have been happier. Hardwood floors throughout, VERY comfortable bed, good size bathroom. These room share a long covered porch with the other economy queen rooms right on Simonton & are very quiet, especially being on a busier street. If you get up early as we do & use roosters as your alarm clock, you will have to actually set an alarm…we didn’t hear a single one!!!

We turned up around 9pm just driving around. Pulled up outside and a lovely chap showed us the rooms and straight away we knew this was going to be a nice place. We had 3 days. The room was large, clean and well presented. The location is excellent. The pool area was very refreshing and well maintained. We enjoyed breakfast in the garden. We will definitely stop again when in Key West.

This was my second time to Key West this year and stayed both times at the Chelsea… it’s located 2 blocks from Duval St…. on Truman … just enough away from the very active Duval to be peaceful but close enough when I wanted to shop and see the sites….. the Hemingway House is very close and the Lighthouse …. anyway…. it’s not the Ritz but it’s well kept and cozy and clean. There’s a nice pool and employees were very nice and helpful…I’d stay there again…

Last year when we went to Key West, we stayed in 3 different hotels. This year we stayed at Albury Court and it was definitely the biggest bang for the buck. The room was small but we didn’t mind since we spent very little time in the room anyway. The bed was the most comfortable bed I think I’ve ever slept in. There was a free continental breakfast every morning. The location was great-close to all things. We will be staying there again next week for our entire trip and I couldn’t be more excited!

We absolutely loved this place! My husband and I stayed at the Cypress House for our honeymoon and were beyond please with our stay. Our room was gorgeous (the balcony right off of our room had great views, tall ceilings, modern bathroom, and there was even a beautiful mural on the ceiling which was a nice sight to wake up to each morning). Aside from the room, the hotel offered a lot of other worthwhile things: great staff, hot breakfast, a nice pool, and daily happy hour. The staff members made sure we had everything we needed and any requests we had were fulfilled within minutes (Eli was especially wonderful). They even suggested boat cruises and other activities we were interested in. The pool was refreshing and located next to the tables for both breakfast/happy hour. The breakfast offered each morning was delicious and full of variety (with at least one different hot item daily)…I especially enjoyed the breakfast burritos. The happy hour also changed daily and included small appetizers. For example, during our stay we had a margarita night, wine night, sangria night (all you can drink within the hour) and appetizers such as grilled brie sprinkled with almonds, crab dip, multiple cheeses, veggies, and fried conch fritters, etc. Gathering for both breakfast and happy hour was also a nice way to meet other hotel guests without the feeling of being obligated to do so. The location is also something worth mentioning. Cypress House is located two blocks from the main strip on Duval Street so it was close enough to walk in less than 5 minutes but far enough that our balcony was quiet and peaceful. We are already planning a trip back in February 2013. If you visit Key West, stay here. We will gladly be back!

I’ve been to Key West many times and stayed at several different places, but Cypress House is by far my favorite place. Next time I’m down I’ll be staying here again and I hope other travelers give this fantastic historic inn the opportunity to wow them as well.

The rooms are perfect – modern decor in a historic venue, amazing location close to everything in the downtown area and the most pleasant and courteous  staff I’ve ever encountered! Eli was so great, I feel I need to mention him by name. But all the staff were wonderful.

Thanks for the best weekend getaway I’ve had down in Key West, I’ll be back!

This is a charming place to stay . I didn’t want to go home when it was time to leave. Rooms are comfortable and modern but still had a historical home feel. Three minute walk from Duval street! Hospitality appetizers and drinks every night at 6pm were wonderful. Free breakfast every morning was delicious and had a great spread! I recommend the croissants! Beautiful pool and patio area with nice foliage! We had a service dog and they were more than happy to accommodate us. We will absolutely be staying here again next year for our wedding. I am looking forward to it already!
