I’m an architect in Connecticut, and when I took my first trip to Key West during my college years 8 years ago, I was lucky enough to stay at the Chelsea House Hotel. It is the perfect blend of local and beautiful vegetation, which the most stunning and well preserved Caribbean architecture you may find. It’s huge balconies, louvered window shutters, one of a kind rooms made my experience unforgettable. Service and cleanness was always on point.

That’s is why, 8 years later, I had the chance to go back to Key West, and I had no doubt about where I wanted to stay. The staff was extremely friendly and once again, I had an one of a kind experience.

I will recommend it 100% !!! … as a matter of fact, I can’t wait to go back!!!

We stayed 5 nights in January. The room was all we needed for our stay. Very quiet at night.  The breakfast included boiled eggs, cereals, bagels, croissants, and fruit.  Perfect to get us started. Two blocks to Duval, we walked everywhere. 15 minutes to Mallory Square. It was a great visit!

Our room had a queen bed, ac, private bath, and included a nice breakfast. Would have preferred a room with a patio though to at least have more space.

I enjoyed my stay.  All of the staff are super knowledgeable, including Jordan the cat.  Linda, Cindy & Ebony are warm and terrific at making a traveler feel comfortable. I traveled alone to Key West but upon checking in at Merlin, I felt I was surrounded by very cool other guests and the chillness of the property.  I enjoyed the afternoon ice tea, pool chatter and the lounge chairs. The room was bright and modern.   I will stay again and upgrade. All recommendations from the staff were perfect. Best things to do: Rent a bike first day, go to Firefly, reserve a space at Off the Hook, go to Higgs beach–ride along, visit Salt Gallery and wear sunscreen.

This meticulously maintained property, right next to the historical Key West Lighthouse and Museum, is a haven of peace in the heart of Key West.  Located directly across from the Hemingway House, which buzzes with tourists all day, the hotel is quiet, with a lovely inner courtyard and breakfast area surrounding a small and inviting pool.  From its location you can walk anywhere in Key West, and very good restaurants are just steps away.

The front desk management is very helpful; upon check in, our gentleman walked back to our car, which was waiting around the corner, and helped us move our bags in through the back entrance.  He provided a great deal of local information and maps, and helped us locate the hotel parking lot, a few blocks away.  The room was clean, well maintained and comfortable, with a big walk-in shower and all the amenities.  Strongly recommended!

We selected the hotel based on location and we were not disappointed.  We could walk or ride our bicycles to all the points of interest we wanted to visit.  Check-in was a bit long, but the other interactions at registration were efficient and informative.  Our first day the room was not serviced until about 3 PM, but the other days it was serviced early so that when we returned to the hotel, it was tidy and ready.  I would recommend the hotel to friends.  I would tell them, though, that parking is about 2 blocks away and that guests are allowed to park bikes on the hotel property.  Thanks for the mojito.

Came down to spend New Years in Key West.  Made my reservation all the way back in January as I wanted to make sure we stayed at Cypress House Hotel.  Great rooms, location….pretty much everything!

My husband and I rented three rooms from 12/26-12/29 and visited Key West with a sibling along with our adult children to celebrate our youngest son’s 30th Birthday.  With his Birthday so soon after Christmas, separating the two events has always been a challenge.  We hit a home run this year.  The hotel was well maintained, the staff was accomodating, the hotel was in walking distance to everything, and the overall experience was excellent.  Parking was a challenge, the garage was always full, so the voucher was not helpful, however, the staff quickly refunded those charges.  We would definitely stay here again.

Terrific little place. Charming. Cute. Welcoming. Staff is helpful, reliable, and will do anything for you.  Continental breakfast one of the best. Central to all things Key West.

Great location to Duval street but in a quiet area. Beautiful guest rooms. Friendly staff. Relaxing pool area. We needed three guests rooms for some friends of ours that came down from the north to visit and we were all put in rooms next to each other. Very accommodating. We all loved our stay at the Lighthouse Court Hotel and we would definitely stay there again.
