I would highly recommend the Merlin Guesthouse for your stay in Key West!  Check in and check out was a breeze! Great location. Very clean rooms, and a great shower! Linda, at the front desk, was absolutely amazing. I can not say enough good things about her. She was informative, helpful and super friendly!

From the first call, Micheall was helpful and friendly. She made the whole process easy even though we had to do it as two separate reservations.  When we checked in, she had remembered our conversation and knew exactly who we were. She handled everything in a professional yet very warm and friendly way.

Clement assisted us with our bags and was so very friendly and efficient. He took care of a special ice cream request for us with a smile.

The rooms were comfortable, clean and spacious. The grounds and pool were also very nice. We could not have asked for a better place to stay, it was like staying with family. Please wish Clement a happy birthday on March 9th for us.

We greatly enjoyed the Cypress House Hotel! The room was very comfortable and quiet with private deck for relaxing. We especially enjoyed the “Liming” by the pool with other guests and made some great new friends. Having a free cocktail and warm snack in the afternoon as well as generous continental breakfast with hot menu item each morning really makes the stay at Cypress House a good value. Great location- we could walk everywhere!

We had a three night stay in Feb, 2015.  We had room #11 with a king bed, private balcony.  Our room was very clean and very quiet.  I think being in the rear of the property is best for privacy and quiet.  The bathroom was clean, but really needs freshening.  I guess when I pay $450/night, I would expect a fully updated bathroom. However, this is Key West!  No big fancy resorts here!  The bathroom fan is loud too.  The room itself was very comfy…flat screen, wifi, comfy bed.  We slept soundly each night.   The staff at the front desk was warm and accommodating…eager to help.  The only reason I don’t give it five stars is the bathroom and the value…so pricey.  However, this is what to expect in high season at Key West.  So worth the trip!  Key West was wonderful..I want to move there!

We had a two night stay at the Cypress House in February. Staying in Key West during high season is not inexpensive, but you get your money’s worth at the Cypress House. Our room was large, bright, and clean. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom nicely updated. What really makes this place stand out is the service. From check in to check out, we were made to feel welcome, no matter the time of day or the nature of our request. Chris, in particular, really made an effort to connect with us and make us feel welcome. When you stay, you will enjoy their outdoor space-it’s not large, but very comfortable and well laid out. The breakfast is excellent, so you will start your day off well. If you are looking for a great location, and a warm welcome, look no further.

We have stayed at the Merlin and the Lighthouse previously, so when we had to extend our stay due to inclement weather up north we looked no further than historickeywestinns.com.  The Key Lime Inn accommodated us.  In fact when we were waiting to get into our room we ended up having a little too much fun and weren’t going to make it back to the room until late.  Clement put our bags in our room and the manager told us how to retrieve our key when we returned.  They also were a big help getting us ride to the airport the following day when that pink taxi company got impatient and left us standing in the parking lot.

We were very happy with our room here. It was clean, comfortable, and beautifully appointed. Our stay was enhanced by the efficiency and courtesy of the staff. The location is perfect for Key West as you can walk to just about everything. We can highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed at the Key West Key Lime Inn for a short stay over Valentines weekend and were very impressed.  We arrived at around 2 pm and our room was ready which was great that we didn’t have to wait the additional hour.
Our room was well appointed and very clean and comfortable.
The location is a few blocks from Duval street which is a beautiful walk but we also rented scooters so it made things extremely easy while getting around.
We enjoyed our stay and would return in the future!

My wife and I stayed in a second-floor room with a king bed and private balcony at the Albury Court Hotel on a February Wednesday to Sunday to celebrate friends’ Friday night wedding in Key West.  The location was perfect, with an easy walking distance to all of Old Town–from the North end of Duval Street, to the Southernmost Point, to the Westin Pier where the wedding was located.  When we couldn’t walk due to time constraints, being tired from all of the walking, or dressed in formal attire, a reasonably-priced cab ride was only a few minutes away with pick-up right outside the front desk office.

Our hotel room was clean, the king bed was comfortable, and the private balcony was perfect for people-watching or reading.  The continental breakfast every morning was a refreshing way to the start each day and help recover from the night before.

The staff was friendly, helpful, professional, and the grounds were clean and appealing.  Overall we had a great time and will strongly consider this property and any of the other properties in the company’s portfolio when we stay in Key West.  Thank you for the enjoyable experience and keep up the great work.

My fiance and I are from LA were visiting family who lives in South Florida. We wanted a place to stay centrally located to Duval Street. This resort was a perfect location for us and the best rate in that area. The courtyard and breakfast area is very nice. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. The service from the staff was excellent: greeting with a smile, prompt and friendly. Our visit in South Florida was an memorial excellent experience in which part of that was at our stay at The Merlin Guesthouse. I wish we had more time to spend at the hotel but I’m sure there’ll be a next time we’re in South Florida!
