We had a very comfortable stay and were very happy to find you still had a vacancy so late in the evening. The receptionist at the front desk was friendly and professional. She took the time to suggest Duffy’s for dinner and offered us the free Key Lime Pie vouchers at their Lighthouse Court Hotel. The room was reasonably priced, comfortable and very “Key West” which made it special. I realized now we would prefer staying at an Historic Key West Inn/Hotel rather than one of the “big name” properties on the island. The staff was also friendly, professional, and helpful. We needed some left overs we boxed up from Duffy’s to be microwaved and Barbara was happy and eager to help. Considering the stay and the general atmosphere we experienced we are seriously considering not even going to Miami next time but rather flying directly into Key West International and staying in Key West! Of the seven days we stayed in Florida only an overnight stay was in Key West but it was indeed the highlight of the whole vacation!

Thanks So Much!

Just recently stayed here for the first time for a long weekend. Booked through a travel site and got an excellent rate so I was pleasantly surprised on arrival.  Location was good, close enough to walk to all our favorite places. The Harbor Walk, just a couple blocks away allowed us to wind our way along the waterfront via all the great places to eat and drink before ending at Mallory Square.  We stayed in a 2nd floor room over the pool.  Although not huge, it was very cozy and cute.  It had everything we needed including a hair dryer, iron and small fridge. And I must say it was clean as a whistle. Kudos to the cleaning staff, they did a great job. The plantation shutters on the windows allowed the air conditioned room to remain comfortably cool even during the hottest parts of the day.
The check in guys (I am so sorry I didn’t catch their names) were excellent, making our check in a breeze. They were very friendly and patiently answered each of my questions in addition to making some great suggestions for places to eat. There is no assigned parking area – but we did secure a spot across the street. I noticed that there were some open spaces at most times. The breakfast offerings were the usual boutique hotel items with some exceptions –  ham & cheese croissants and muffins supplied by a local bakery. My husband absolutely loved those. Thank goodness he was taught to share or he could have eaten them all.  Our one complaint – pool water was too warm. This was no one but Mother Nature’s fault as the weather was incredibly hot and humid while we were there, even the ocean felt warmer than usual.  The pool was small but perfect for sitting and relaxing – it has built in seating all the way around the inside.
As we traveled with friends who also stayed at the Albury Court this was a nice way to re-connect again in the evenings.  We did have a slight blip when we accidently locked our keys in the room while hanging in the pool and courtyard one night. But called the emergency # and someone was there within 10-15 mins to open our door with a smile and NO extra charge.  We would most definitely consider staying here again for our next stay. We love Key West!

We can’t stop bragging about out recent trip to Key West and the Albury Court Hotel definitely helped make it a memorable stay. Quaint, cozy, and accommodating are desirable attributes to any hotel and the Albury has it all. We made sure to never miss out on breakfast at the pool every morning and enjoyed relaxing in our room after a long excursion. We could walk and bike everywhere we wanted to go making our decision to ditch the rental car easy. Can’t wait for our next visit!

I booked this room to surprise my husband, we needed a honeymoon do over because ours a few months earlier was horrible weather. We had a great time in Key West and a lot of it had to do with the great accommodations at Cypress House Hotel. Upon arrival we had to wait a few minutes to be helped and the gentleman gave us a room upgrade for doing so. He was very nice and we made it just in time for Liming hour, which was very nice every afternoon. The room was very clean, even though it was an historic house, the furniture, bed and bathroom was all newly remodeled. The pool was a great spot to end the day, no kids running about (I have kids, but this was a much needed kid free weekend) made it even better. Breakfast was simple but good, not the usual continental breakfast choices. Stuffed croissants, burritos, muffins. All were very good. If I had any complaints the only one was that the AC unit was right next to the bed and I am one who does NOT like to be cold, but my husband is always hot, so he took that side and Loved it!

We will definitely be staying at Cypress House again and again as time allows us to get away.

A couple things that standout:
1. Perfect location. Just a few blocks from the heart of things including Duval, Mallory Sq, great bars and restaurants. All these things are very walkable. But it’s far enough away to keep it quiet at night. Or rent a bike and it’s a few minute ride to Smathers or Higgs beaches.2. Clean and well maintained. Our room was newly updated with a nice bathroom. The grounds are very clean with a relaxing tropical feel. The pool was very nice and refreshing after walking around all day.

3. Service. Everyone was super-friendly and helpful.

Breakfast and “liming hour” were decent. Just a nice bonus to save a few dollars.

Overall, I’d highly recommend.

We stayed at Chelsea House Hotel for a family vacation and enjoyed our stay.  The hotel was adorable, the staff wonderful and the location was excellent.  We plan to return to Chelsea House for our next Key West vacation.

This is the second time I have stayed at the Chelsea House Hotel and it is safe to say, not the last time. This hotel never disappoints with its cleanliness, caring and courteous staff, adorable rooms and beautiful grounds. To top it all off, it is in a perfect location. It is of walking distance to practically all of the attractions Key West has to offer, the best is that the hotel is only two blocks away from Duval street. I am planning my next stay already…. I love Key West and knowing I found a great place to sleep at night after a day of exploring, makes it that much better.
