We very much enjoy the Key Lime Inn. It is comfortable and quiet, but within walking distance of old town Key West and its sights. Every afternoon we enjoy returning to the quiet of the pool. Breakfast around the pool is lovely. Everyone on the staff is pleasant and helpful.

The Flaming Buoy Restaurant is great. Food is outstanding and interesting, and it is an easy walk from the Key Lime Inn.

Site was great and beautiful and our room was very nice, clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and prompt with any needs we requested. No complaints at all.

I reserved a room at the Chelsea House for my honeymoon, and both my wife and I were extremely impressed with our experience. The inn was lovely and well kept up, and our room was gorgeous (they even upgraded us for free from a Queen room to a King suite for our honeymoon!!).

The service was great as well. Our safe batteries died (it was an electronic key pad) and they came right over to unlock it for us and replace the batteries. It rained one day we were there, and they offered us an umbrella for the day. Room service was prompt, and the continental breakfast was satisfactory. The Chelsea House is located in a perfect spot – about a 5 minute walk from Duval St. and there’s a bike rental about 2 minutes away (bikes are the way to see Key West). There’s enough parking for the hotel customers at the Inn, and trust me, you will want to park you car and keep it there.

If you love dessert, visit Better Than Sex and try their chocolate grilled cheese. It’s decadent and delicious, and it’s different enough from other desserts that you won’t feel like you’re getting something you could get at any restaurant. Also try the Money Shot (coffee kahlua with home-made whipped cream) – it’s awesome.

Don’t take minors there, though!

Could not have been more pleased with our experience at the Chelsea House. Facilities were great. Staff was fantastic. Staff member Leyanne directed us to a great charter for snorkeling and kayaking. She was incredibly helpful an could not have been nicer. Will definitely stay there again and will recommend to our friends.

The staff was wonderful, the room was clean and the experience delightful. I tried to extend the stay a few days but there were no vacancies. Our 50 pound puppy also enjoyed the stay and was welcomed by the staff with doggie treats. We will go back.

I’m not a hotel person, I like the feeling of home that an inn provides. And the chelsea house made me feel right at home! I would, and have recommended it to anyone that will listen!!

I don’t have one favorite place to eat. all of the restaurants that we went to were great! whether it was Camilles for breakfast, the hard rock cafe for lunch, or even kelly’s for happy hour and wings, I can’t wait to go back and experience more of the seemingly endless array of place to go eat!!!

I loved the breakfast around the pool, the large room with big poster bed and walk in shower, the friendly people in the office, the great parking, and the smiles from all the people that work there!!

Been to key west over 20 times on business in the last 3 years. On word for Chelsea House — WOW !! — . Exactly as described, Old Key West Charm and very romantic. The business trip was cut from 3 days to 1 at the last minute. I should have taken 2 vacation days and stayed; my mistake. Next trip I am going to try the Merlin Guesthouse.

Managia Mangia Pasta is the greatest! Its not in the tourist section so the prices are not jacked up. Food is super fresh, and wine list is reasonable

The Chelsea House is a nice historic inn on a well-kept property with an attractive pool area. Plenty of shady spots were available-always a plus in the tropical heat. We stayed in a Junior King suite for 7 nights (# 33b, I believe). The room was large and well-designed with attractive details. We liked the high-end, stainless steel appliances and marble counter tops in the bathroom but our favorite feature was the private balcony overlooking Elizabeth Street. We did have a pleasant stay and would not hesitate to recommend the Chelsea House to a friend.

One of our all-time favorites is Ambrosia on Simonton Street. They have a wonderful selection of sake and the sushi could not be fresher! We are definitely sushi lovers and this place far exceeds any sushi bars we have back home. The chef is creative and innovative and the restaurant offers unique menu items such as duck tataki. Great ambiance in a chiq modern setting while, compared to other great dining establishments on the island, the cost remains quite reasonable. The only drawback: no outdoor seating.

We LOVE the butterfly conservancy at the south end of Duval St. It seems a little pricey before you enter ($ 12/adult) but you will discover it’s well worth it! It is a lush, tropical greenhouse with countless species of colorful butterflies that are quite likely to land on your shoulder. There are also quail and other small birds. A great opportunity to take some good pictures! I don’t normally care for gift shops, but the one at the conservancy is rather impressive with a huge selection of (non-tacky) butterfly-themed jewelry and art.
