Wish we could have stayed here for a week! What an awesome place to stay. Close to everything but with the feeling of seclusion.

  1. Perfect location
  2. Beautiful atmosphere
  3. Wonderful room

…and the list goes on and on!

When we got to our hotel we were there about an hour early, but they were able to get us in a room.  Our room was actually upgraded to a king room from the Queen Room we had initially reserved.  The room was very clean and roomy.  And the room was kept cool which was key since the temperatures were very hot when we were visiting.  The continental breakfast was just right with local bagels and pastries.  The location of the hotel was great just 2 blocks off of Duval and just a little over 1 mile walking distance to all beaches.  We had a rental car and parked it on our first day and did not use it again until our last evening when we went to dinner on Stock Island.  Upon our return there were no spaces available, but the lady at the front desk helped us find a temporary street spot.  We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to the keys!

We liked it very much! The room was impeccable and smelled so. The place was safe and accessible to all historic attractions. The location of the room was quiet. Staff members were cordial and helpful. Price was reasonable. Loved it.

I enjoyed my visit in the Chelsea House hotel. We were friendly welcome. The room was clean and pretty. The ceiling fan was very well appreciated. The breakfast was good and it was nice to take it near to the swimming pool. The location close to the town center is good for visiting and doing shopping by foot. We would appreciate a bar open on the evening to take drink close to the swimming pool.

Thank you….I am now a judge during the Hemingway Days Festival. This Fest is a very lively group. The island lights up. I won in 2002 and have stayed at the Cypress since the win. There is  a lot of action during our stay. I like the closeness to our activities. My thing would be the breakfast! A continental style works for most of us. Not  a lot of early risers during this festival but never the less, some of us roll out. The kitchen works great both inside and out. I have suggested to the last two winners that they join us at  the Cypress. The Papas have found a home and appreciate what the Cypress does for us.  The Wednesday morning gathering gives all contestants a chance to schmooze with the judges and view the auction items that start on the first round on Thursday.

The Cypress house provides a great tropical setting for this desert rat. I would suggest that since we have heat in Phoenix during the same time frame that a  simple aerator system in the pool would work great and pull the temperatures of the water to lower degrees…I am not sure how a misting system would work but it would be worth an experiment. Thank you for the trust of your house cleaning people…we set our change and cash out ….it is still there with a very tidy room. The shower was always clean and great. I might encourage you to do what they do on cruise ships….which is optional…perhaps an envelope for their tip could be provided…   I walked Duval on the Monday following    an attempt to connect with an art gallery that would carry my whimsical  art  and our Hemingway experience while on the Island. I will  continue to seek my  place until I am successful…leads will be deeply appreciated…….of course this would be yet another reason to return to your wonderful island………..thanks again for the  adventure….

Within walking distance of Duval Street and other attractions; clean and comfortable. Small pool but nice property, parking lot was often full but on-street parking was available at no cost. A little expensive but good for the area.

What a wonderful surprise this little inn was. We will never stay at a commercial resort again.

My fiance and I were visiting the keys for two nights to celebrate our one year engagement and found this hotel on line. We had such a wonderful stay we checked out two times, only to check in again. We stayed an extra three days! The property is lovely and the rooms very comfortable and well decorated. The staff was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We will definitely return here every summer for our key west vacation.

My husband and I stayed at the Key Lime Inn July 24-30 while we were on our honeymoon. We stayed in a Deluxe Cottage. The property was clean and well-maintained. We did see some damp wood around the porch on our cottage, but that should not come as a surprise in southern Florida. I am sure this is an on-going battle in every property in this part of the U.S. We did not see or smell any signs of mold or dampness inside the room.

This is a quieter part of Key West, with a Catholic Church right across the street. This felt like a very safe location, and we felt 100% safe walking to and from the hotel at night. We only had a car for one night, and we parked on the street near the church without any problems (the lot was full). The location was great- far enough from Duval Street to be a little further from the rowdy bar scene, but close enough (2 blocks) for an easy walk.

My husband and I usually decline housekeeping services when we travel, mostly because we don’t feel the need for fresh linens every single day and we usually tidy up wherever we are out of habit anyway. Housekeeping left us a big bag of fresh towels and extra toiletries just outside our door every day of our stay when we had the “privacy please,” sign on our doorknob. There was a larger trash bin nearby the cottage where we could dispose of full bags of trash. Our trash can had a whole roll of trash bags in it, which was great for changing the trash ourselves as needed. These are small details, but they are details we have not seen in many other hotels.

The AC in our room was great; the week we stayed in Key West, there was no breeze inland, and Key West apparently hit record highs. Every time we walked into that room, we couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief!

Our only real complaint was the temperature of the pool. The pool was so warm it almost felt like a hot tub. Certainly, not very refreshing when the water is nearly the same temperature as the air!

This was our second time staying at the Cypress House and it was stellar!  We arrived just after 10pm and the gentleman was just about to leave for the night but he speedily checked us in.  We stayed Thursday-Sunday in a standard queen room.  Very clean room with a spacious bathroom, and all updated decor and fixtures.  We enjoyed the pool during happy hour and the appetizers offered were fabulous!  The staff is always so friendly and it feels like staying with friends rather than in a hotel.  The best part is the central location to everything in Key West.  My boyfriend surprised me with an engagement ring on this trip so it was extra memorable!  We are looking forward to another great trip to Key West and stay at the Cypress House.  Thanks!

Our two night stay was lovely! The room was everything we needed and nicely appointed. If I had to make a few critiques it would be the following:

The room felt moist and humid, even with the AC going. As a Floridian though, it wasn’t that big of a deal.

The pool was that warm, not refreshing temperature. Not sure if there’s such a thing as a “pool cooler” rather than a “pool heater” but we need some in Florida!

Now the good:

The hotel was central to what we wanted to be near but far enough from the “action” to be quiet.

The room was very cute and I liked the almost “cabin” feel.

The staff were friendly and thoughtful, and made sure we had all of the info we needed on how to get our key since we were checking in after midnight.

The two for one drink ticket worked out nicely, and we used it after climbing the Key West lighthouse.

All in all, I would recommend the Key Lime Inn!
