We visit Key West annually for a good friend’s birthday retreat, and usually everyone arrives and stays at the same hotel. This year, my girlfriend and myself decided to go a day early for some time to ourselves to enjoy the area and all it has to offer. I chose Chelsea House as our destination based on it’s vicinity to the activities we were looking for, and for the pool/deck and charming history the house portrays. When we arrived, the room was not quite ready for us (we got there a bit earlier than normal check-in) and the staff was delighted to see us. The young lady at the front desk was inviting and was more than happy to issue our parking pass and pool access while we waited for our room to be ready. Needless to say, it was a smooth transition from our 7 hour drive to the lovely pool and garden area. The pool has a great deck area, and is surrounded by beautiful trees (the most notable was the large palm overhanging the pool itself, awesome). Our room was ready right at 3pm, and we were delighted by the charm our ‘Butterfly Room’ shows. Lovely 4 post bed and beautiful flooring, small bathroom, closet, flatscreen and mini fridge. The house is old, so it comes with the amenities expected when staying in a ‘charming’ house. Most notably the small shower and lack of water pressure, but this is key west and we don’t need a pressure washer for a shower. The room had sufficient towels and pillows, and a comfortable bed- the only reason I submit a 4-star rating rather than a 5 was some small cleanliness issues. Nothing grotesque, mind you, just small subtle things I notice because I notice small subtle things. Overall the area is nice, right on the main road and easy access to Duval and all the shops. I would recommend this hotel to my friends and family who love the classics, and am personally excited to check out some of the other properties Historic Key West Inns offers.

We just returned from a 5-night stay at the Key Lime Inn.  From the minute we checked in until check out we were thrilled to be staying at this hotel.  The front office staff and housekeeping were so friendly and fun.  Particular shout out to ”trainee” Claudia and her office mate -who wrote funny notes on our kids post-cards.   The front desk directed us to bike rentals, options for breakfast/dinner, etc..  Our room (16) was spacious and well appointed. Check in /out was fast. We will highly recommend this hotel and other properties under the Historic Key West Inns collection.  We are hoping to be back soon!

One recommendation – a mirror in the main portion of the room or a full length mirror. Tough to get ready with only the mirror in the bathroom.

Thank you for a great stay and hope to see you again soon.

Sincerely,

Marie
Favorite spots – Cowboy bar – had great country bands,  Rum Barrell – fun appetizers on the roof, One Fish Two Fish for the best sunset drinks to go… Lunch at on the beach – Southernmost Beach Cafe!!  Best Beach – Smathers!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Lighthouse Court Hotel.  The hotel staff were very courteous and responsive to our needs.  The room met our expectations and was very clean.  The housekeeping services were wonderful as they did not come beating on the door early in the morning (waking us up) to clean our room and waited until the afternoon when we were out.  The check-in and check-out process was quick and efficient.  I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family visiting Key West in the future.

We both enjoyed our time in Key West and especially the convenient location of the Chelsea House and the relaxing atmosphere there.

My stay was in one of the small cottages on the property and it was exactly what I needed- quiet, detached, and comfortable.  It was a great place to come back to after spending the days and evenings out and about in Key West.  It was a short walk down to Duval Street, with a convenient CVS nearby for the things I forgot to pack.

Check in and out was painless, and the staff throughout was helpful and non-intrusive.  My cottage was great- comfortable furnishings, lots of pillows, and quiet, even though it was just a short distance off of Truman.

The included breakfast met my needs with cereal, hard boiled eggs, bread, pastries and coffee.  Some different fruit options (bananas were there each day) would be nice.

I would definitely recommend the Key Lime Inn to my friends if they visited Key West.  It’s far enough away from the hustle and bustle to be relaxing, but close enough to walk to most of the attractions old town has to offer.

Although we have been to Key West many times, this was our first trip for Key West Songwriter’s Festival.  What a great weekend.  The Cypress House is fantastic.  The location is perfect, you can walk out the door and be in the heart of the best parts of KW.  The service is top notch.  Our flight was very late and we arrived close to midnight, there was a note waiting and one simple phone call had us in our room.  The breakfast and happy hour are quite enjoyable  and more than you get with most accommodations.  We loved the furnishings and feel of  our room.  Only drawback is the room was the outside corner room at a pretty busy intersection,  so there was a lot of street noise late at night and early in the morning.  We would definitely stay again, but request a different room.  We would also love to try some of their other properties.  We walked by several when we were there and they all seem to offer unique and high end experiences.

Thank You!

Our stay at Albury Court was well beyond our expectations. It started when an unavoidable delay in our travel caused us to delay our arrival. The staff was very gracious in changing our date of a nonrefundable reservation for the day we could arrive & also called back to make sure the date was correct when it was not the next day. The desk staff were very welcoming & concerned. I’m sorry I don’t have their names. They answered our questions about getting around. So was the maintenance guy. The location of the inn was great! Easy walking distance to all sites. The pool was refreshing & the breakfast was excellent!

The staff was excellent. Very helpful  and accommodating. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Only two blocks  from Duval street but oh so quiet and peaceful when you are ready for it.  I would highly recommend the Key Lime Inn to all my friends and family.

We arrived at the hotel after taking a walking tour of Duval Street. The staff was friendly and our room was ready. The room was very clean and the location was close to the ferry dock and to Mallory Square. The pool was clean and breakfast was great. We will definitely stay there during our next visit to Key West! The island is beautiful!!
