We spent a wonderful couple of days at the Cypress House Hotel in Key West as part of our Florida road trip and were so glad that we had made the journey.  From the welcome from Melissa through the upgrade to a beautiful room to the drinks by the pool in the evening, everything was perfect. The staff were quiet but attentive, the pool and surroundings were beautiful and while the breakfast was just ok, the standard of everything else well made up for it. We were slightly confused with the parking – our acknowledgement email for the booking did not mention the discount permit from front desk, so as advised by that acknowledgement email, we parked elsewhere, walked to the hotel and were then told about the permit, by which time we had already paid for two days in a lot a block away.  No big loss (we paid $40 for three days in the lot) but a slight annoyance all the same. The upgrade to Room 12 was a lovely surprise and most welcome and the standard of cleanliness was excellent. We would certainly recommend this hotel to any visiting friends and Key West is itself great fun to explore.

We stayed at Cypress House March 24-27, 2015.  First time staying here…but have been to Key West many times.  Walked past this hotel for years.  Right up the street from Pepe’s.  Room was very clean w/nice, high ceilings in the one we stayed in on the first floor.  Gave a spacious feeling to it.  Front porch off our room was nice for sitting out on late evenings/early mornings with coffee…watching people & traffic go by.  Street is a busy intersection but with A/C running, we never heard much noise at all each night.  Great location to Seaport area (Conch Republic, Alonzo’s, ect), which is where we spend most of our time.  It was wonderful to be so close walking distance-wise!  Continental Breakfast was nice – biscuits & gravy, muffins, pastries, cereal, ect – very good coffee too!  Staff was pleasant every time we ran into anyone.  We stayed in the main building.  There are 2 other historic houses that also belong to this hotel.  Would stay here again for sure!  Had a wonderful trip-just too short!  Hopefully, we’ll be back next Spring again! :)

We recently stayed for a long weekend at the Lighthouse Court and loved everything. We arrived on an early flight and the staff stored our luggage and called a bike rental service who dropped off bikes so we could start exploring while our room was getting cleaned. The entire staff was friendly and helpful throughout our entire stay. Whitehead St. is close to everything, yet far enough from Duval that noise was not a factor at night. We will definitely stay here again.

Something unexpected, in the US. Original, old style, stylish, in the nature, quiet and relaxing, exciting and inspiring good feelings. In the center of the town. A good breakfast on the sofa under the palm trees, or a delighting bath at the sunset in the swimming pool? Up to you.

I will remember of this staying. Key West is magic.

We had an enjoyable time during our 4 night stay at Merlin Guesthouse.  We had a King Suite and it was a beautiful.  Everything was wonderful, including the staff.  The only comment I would offer regarding the room, relates to the placement of the coffee maker and portable refrigerator in the large bathroom.  Personally, I don’t like the location of those items in a bathroom setting.  I would suggest a shelf or cabinet below the wall mounted television.  This is a small issue, in consideration that we were very satisfied with our stay.

Thanks again, hope to see you soon,

We had a wonderful stay here. Thanks and kudos to all. This is such a relaxing environment. We will return and definitely (already have) recommended this location to friends. Thanks again. A special thanks to (I believe her name is) Linda, who is from upstate NY. She made us feel welcome and part of the family, as well as giving us useful information.

We were very pleased with our stay at the Cypress House in March/April 2015. The location is ideal – just a couple blocks from the heart of Duval, but tucked away just enough for peace and quiet when you need it.

The breakfast each morning was a delight, as was the happy hour by the pool – equipped with hors d’oeuvres and cocktails.

The ‘adults only’ aspect was enjoyable too! Very relaxing atmosphere by the pool.

We went during spring break, so prices were a little high, but that’s to be expected I suppose.

I would recommend this location.

Although the room was small (as I imagine most hotel rooms in Key West are) it was modern and clean. We happened to get a room just outside the pool area, also next to where breakfast is set up – Was super convenient. The hotel is approximately 6 blocks from Duval street, but very close to the harbor and lovely restaurants. Staff were very helpful, professionsal and polite.

My memory of our stay at Albury begins with very attentive and professional staff at the main desk. Complete with rain ponchos to survive the downpour, the staff was very accommodating and friendly our entire stay.

Our room was always clean and the staff worked behind the scenes. The breakfast bar was perfect and the pool area was kept very clean.

We loved the proximity to Duval and other attractions because they were far enough away for a quiet stay, but close enough to walk to.

Our favorite restaurant was Jake’s Backyard. I would definitely return and stay at Albury and would recommend to our friends.

My husband and I stayed at the Lighthouse Court along with our closest friends and family while celebrating our wedding…and everything about this hotel contributed to us having the best time of our lives! The staff was beyond welcoming and helpful…Rose at the front desk and Pam from housekeeping truly took care of our every need…often without us even asking!!! The rooms were beautiful, clean and comfortable. The pool is great, and one of the larger pools that I have seen at various inns within Key West. It was also fun to have a poolside bar, for the days when we wanted to lounge without venturing too far. The location is central and keeps you in the heart of Key West fun, and yet, once entering the hotel grounds, there is a peaceful, tropical environment.

For anyone looking for a place to stay for their wedding, honeymoon, or special event, staying in the Hemingway Suite at the Lighthouse Court was truly memorable. It’s a gorgeous space and was perfect for getting ready with bridesmaids on the wedding day.

I can’t compliment Lighthouse Court enough, and my wedding guests are still raving about their time there. We will definitely be back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
