We chose the Cypress House based on the reviews we read. Although our visit was cut short due to a death in our family, the time we spent was quite enjoyable. From the greeting at the front desk at check-in to our unexpected early departure, everyone at Cypress House was friendly and accommodating. Special kudos to Danielle who not only provided a delicious breakfast but also assisted in a room change after a first no-sleep night in Room 16. There was nothing she could do about the traffic noise on the street, unruly pedestrians or boisterous next room guests but she could switch us to a quieter inner room. We appreciated her courteous response and were very pleased with Room 7 for our second night.  This was not our first visit to Key West but we discovered new culinary venues as your afternoon cocktail hour around the pool inspired camaraderie among the guests. (Our Thanksgiving dinner was at the recommended Square One Restaurant – excellent!)  Since our departure, we’ve shared the experience with several of our friends and are now talking of returning to Key West in January with another couple. Thank you for a delightful stay and we hope to visit again soon.

Rooms where clean and well maintained. The staff where very friendly and knowledgeable as to what was happening in town during my stay. Located just a few blocks from Duval St. The outside grounds where quiet and a perfect place to relax or take a peaceful swim. I have stayed here before and will be coming back. Would highly recommend this hotel to my friends and those coming to visit Key West for the first time.

Historic Key West Staff,
My wife & I spent the Thanksgiving Holiday at the Albury Court Hotel. We arrived very late on Wednesday night & departed Sunday AM.
Highlights of the Albury Court Stay:
1. After Hours check in was convenient
2. Reception the next morning was pleasant & she provided us with the tourist attractions that “first timers’ need to know. I am sorry that I could not remember her name but she was very pleasant.
3. Room was clean & bed was comfortable. (I would say above average for my expectations of Key West)
4. Good continental breakfast. Nice to be able to have a little something in the morning without having to go out to do so.
5. Location was really good for us since we liked to walk. Great walk around the Pier to Duval Street & we felt good that we got our exercise while on vacation :)
Negatives from our Stay:
1. Internet service worked around pool & lobby the best
2. Cost of the trip
3. Slow commute from Miami to Key West

Thank you for your hospitality & we would recommend a stay at Albury Court for a stay in Key West.

I made a last minute one night reservation for a Saturday night.  Your staff was so wonderful, right from the first phone call.  When we arrived on Saturday, early in the morning, we were given a room right away, and an upgrade to boot.  Each time we entered the lobby, we were greeted with enthusiasm.  On Sunday, after checkout, the front desk could not have been more accommodating when asked if we could hang by the pool until our later flight.  Thank you for making our quick stay as memorable as our first stay, over twelve years ago.  We look forward to a return visit!

Very efficient check in, with advice offered along with maps on where best to go for food and entertainments. The quaint little building with the room – a small one, with a single queen bed – was nicely decorated and clean. Perfect for a single person like me, might have been a tad small for a couple. It was very quiet. The shower was small but again very functional, though the water was cool. Overall the room was about perfect for what I needed from it. Pool area was nice, and that’s basically where the breakfast area is too; that was fine, but possibly, could have done with something a bit more dramatic/significant – offerings were pretty basic.

I’d thoroughly recommend this hotel. Short walk to Duval, bit far from Mallory Sq. but easily walkable for most I would say. But, a very short walk to the Onlywood Pizzeria – proper Italian thin crust pizza made in a wood oven. Fantastic.

I stayed here with my family and was pleased. It really was just 2 blocks to the main drag (Duval St) and close to the historic seaport. We had a sunset sail the evening we arrived and were happy to have had time for a cocktail first during what they call a Liming hour!  It is poolside, nightly and posted each day with an appetizer to compliment the drink, which changes daily. I was also impressed with the selection we had at breakfast and we all liked that it was by the pool under a canopy.

Our room was located in the historic grand mansion on the 3rd floor and was nicely decorated, clean and the bed was very comfy, we slept like logs. The bathroom was huge and appeared clean with simple modern décor. We chose Key West to celebrate my father’s 75th birthday, and I’m so glad it was everything (and more) that I had hoped for! I would definitely return to this beautiful place.

Our family stayed in room 15. The room was huge!!! A full service kitchen that was a delight for a family! One quick block from Duval Street and really clean! The small pool was a bit cold, but refreshing after a long hot summer day! The continental breakfast was ok, but terrific strong coffee! Jordan the cat was our adopted cat for the stay and the decor of the room was modern and fresh! We were delighted and will definitely stay again!

This was our first time to Key West, we went for our honeymoon, and this was a wonderful bed and breakfast! We only stayed for one night before heading to Marathon, and Lee was awesome! After learning we were on our honeymoon she upgraded us to a nice little “suite”, room #16. It was beautiful and very secluded, we enjoyed a dip in the pool after a night on Duval St. (even though we were in the middle of town, with all the palm trees surrounding us it was a very tropical feeling!), and a nice little breakfast in the morning. It is only a block away from Duval St and with parking hard to find we could walk everywhere! We will definitely stay here again when we return to the Florida Keys!! Thanks again Lee!!

A group of us stayed here last weekend for a birthday celebration. This place was much more than I expected. We had a King suite room (#16) and the room was beautiful. Clean, looked newly renovated, had a leather couch, flat screen TV, refrigerator, and two air conditioners, and a private porch with tables and chairs. King bed was extremely comfortable. It was less than 2 blocks from Duval street so it was close enough but quiet at the guesthouse. They have a nice continental breakfast in the garden area by the pool. They don’t rush you out if you come down late. As long as people are still eating they will leave it open. Staff was very friendly. The only complaint I would have is bathroom was a little small and the stairs to get to that room.

We chose this guesthouse based on reviews we read for our 2nd anniversary. Everyone was attentive and kind. Ken was a pleasure in the mornings. Linda was perfect and wonderful for advice on places to go. Quaint, quiet and only a block off Duval. Perfect place to choose.
