Stayed at the end of April 2014 for two nights at the Key Lime in, and it was very good.

  • Excellent location, close to lots of activities but slightly off the main path.  It was easy to find and the fencing/trees makes it feel very private.  Parking was easy and they had nice luggage carts if needed.
  • The room was very nice. We had the smallest space; the only change I would ask for is a refrigerator as standard.  The bed was comfortable, nice shower, and the room was clean and fresh. Having the private back deck was also handy.
  • The front desk was friendly, no issues; we actually had somehow been reserved with two rooms, but they quickly corrected the issue with no fuss or additional cost.
  • Pool was a nice hang out space. Quiet and clean.
  • The continental breakfast was very good. All the food was good in Key West, so standards are higher, but enjoyed it very much.

We’d definitely return – excellent package overall given the price to other compared properties.

We travel to Key West often, and the Merlin Guesthouse is always our first choice of where to stay.  The staff is helpful and friendly, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the location is perfect!  It’s close enough to the action without being right in the middle of all the noise.  We definitely recommend it!

The Inn was a last minute decision based on my partner and I spontaneously staying on the Key.  Key Lime offered us a wonderful rate.  We stayed in Room 13.  The vaulted ceilings made the room feel oh so spacious.  However our favorite part was the bench swing attached to the tree near the breakfast area.  It is there that I sang songs arm and arm with the love of my life…. a memory that will forever be associated with the Key Lime Inn.  Upon checking out we engaged in a wonderful conversation with Melissa and Micheall.  They we’re both so entertaining and informative about the island as we grilled then for information.  in a nut shell, our visit was fabulous and we will stay again soon. Thanks for a great memory!

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Lighthouse Court Hotel during our 1 night in Key West after taking the Key West Express from Ft. Myers beach.  The location of the hotel is very convenient for the price as it is only a block from Duval street and is centrally located; most other hotels in this area were priced at least $100 more.  All of the staff and bartenders were very nice and attentive, best mojitos either of us had!  They also allowed us to store our luggage following check out which was extremely helpful as our ferry didn’t leave for another 6 hours and the bags were heavy.  They had good recommendations as far as food and places to check out while we were in Key West.  The rooms were a little small and could’ve been a little cleaner but it was perfect for what we needed and I would definitely stay here again based on our experience.

My sister and I stayed at the Key Lime Inn this past week and we had a great time! We loved our little cottage and the complimentary Rusk products! The pool was beautiful, quiet, and clean. The breakfast was delicious and convenient. Your staff was kind and attentive and the key lime taffy hit the spot. We had a great stay and enjoyed our time. I plan on giving y’all a great Yelp review too! :)

What a wonderful place. Check-in was easy as well as check-out plus on site parking. Clean and cute. Better than a run of the mill hotel/motel chain. Wish we could have stayed longer but was just passing through. Walking distance to all the tourist things duval street, southern most point etc.

Thanks, Chelsea House, for a great, memorable, and convenient stay.

We were in Key West for 3 nights but sadly only stayed at Key Lime Inn for 1 night. I say sadly because we LOVED it and wish we had picked this place for our entire stay. The first 2 nights we were in Key West we stayed at the La Concha hotel, while it was nice, it was TINY! Very hard to move around. Then when we checked into the Key Lime Inn – the rooms were perfect, smelled great and really had a bungalow-type feel. When returning to Key West, we will definitely book at the Key Lime Inn again! Thanks for the hospitality – the entire staff was super friendly too!

We stayed at Albury for 3 nights, we were in beautiful Key West for a wedding. First and foremost, the young lady that was working the front desk upon our arrival was the most pleasant individual. She started our stay out on the right foot, and they are lucky to have her.

Positives

  • Within walking distance of Duval Street, marina, Mallory Square, etc.
  • Quiet Location (Old Town)
  • Public Parking garage just one block south on Grinnell. We actually never used our car once arriving, we rented scooters and there was ample parking for the scooters across the street on Eaton.
  • Room was small, but adequate. We did not come to Key West to sit in our room, we only came back to sleep.
  • Breakfast at the pool was plentiful. An assortment of Bagels, Yogurt, Cereal, Juice, Coffee, etc. For a free breakfast it was fine. The “local” ham and cheese croissants were fantastic!
  • Pool area was nice, but we never got a chance to utilize.
  • Each day, I placed the “please service” sign on the door and returned to fresh towels and our bed made.
  • The bed was so comfortable!!
  • Room included hairdryer, iron, ironing board, and fridge. No microwave.

Negatives

  • The room (#6) needs a fresh coat of paint, I can tell they “patched” up some areas, just time for a refresher
  • The bathroom shower grout needs to be bleached/cleaned. It is grey and for some people that may be a turn off.
  • The wet bar faucet, for some reason is so far back if you use it the water will go all over the counter.
