It was a short stroll back from Duval Street after dark, and yet the two blocks was far enough away to be free from the noise.  My daughter and I felt safe when we returned to the guesthouse, because we didn’t have to walk down a lot of dark streets.

The staff seemed genuinely friendly and we enjoyed visiting with them.  The enclosed garden area was comfortable and inviting.

Our room  #12 was clean and quiet.  We thought it could use a few more hooks in the bedroom and maybe a small chair or luggage stand.  Our suitcases were on the floor.  We don’t use the dressers in hotels, having left items behind too many times in the past. The Keurig machine and fridge were nice to have.

We had a view of the housekeepers closet from our front room, so spending over $1000 for 3 nights seemed a little….. mah.  However, we did feel comfortable at the guesthouse on the whole.

The little restaurant across the street, Deuces, was very very good.  We enjoyed Smather’s beach and our visit to the Truman Little White House, especially.  We had fun watching the sunset from Mallory Square, but would recommend watching from the Fort Zach State Park for a quieter atmosphere.

Key West was a great place to spend Christmas Eve.  We loved having a green and balmy Christmas Day.  It wasn’t overly crowded until the 26th.  Either way, we were happily enjoying the historic atmosphere as well as the festive vibe.

The location is ideal. Very central and not in the noisy animation. The place is beautiful. It is extremely clean and the decoration is elegant and stylish. The staff is very professional and nice. The breakfast is great and the convenience of the kitchen ideal. The tables outside next to the swimming pool are perfect for breakfast, snack or drink. The ideal place to stay in beautiful Key West.

Room was small — 12×14. Free breakfast was nice. Staff was friendly. Decent room rate for being so close to Duval Street.

We stayed at the Merlin Guesthouse and from the moment we walked in we felt welcomed. Kenneth immediately greeted us with a friendly smile and showed us the grounds. What an adorable place!  Our room was very comfortable and the complimentary breakfast was delicious. I wished we could have stayed longer. Also, Jordan, the infamous cat was such a pleasure to meet. We will definitely return and highly recommend to anyone that wants a romantic getaway.

Our stay was a return visit. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was spotless. We did not spend much time on site, as the convenient walking distance to town allowed us to come and go throughout the day. The pool is great, nicely sized and cozy. We were in town this time for the Off Shore Power Boat Races. We would return and definitely recommend the Merlin Guesthouse to others.

The Key Lime Inn is one of many boutique hotels in Key West but what makes it stand out is the service. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. Melissa specifically provided tips on where to go to have a good meal and to have drinks. The hotel itself is off Truman Ave (U.S. 1) which makes it easy to find. Duval Street and other Key West attractions are within walking distance. The hotel provides free parking, wifi, a heated pool, and breakfast. The hotel grounds are attractive, the rooms are updated and modern. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. Overall great experience and will definitely stay here again.

This was our first visit to key west for our daughter’s wedding. we have traveled all over the world and we loved key west along with our hotel, and we will be back!  the front desk staff was fabulous from the gentleman who checked us in, to the young lady that booked our day cruise for us.  We loved our rooms, and I would recommend this hotel to anyone asking.  depending on price, I would probably book at this hotel again without looking around too much.  We had a great experience and would love a 3 day free package. :-)

We had a very nice stay.  The staff was nice.  The bed was comfortable as well as the room.  We have no complaints.  Serving cocktails in the evening was a nice touch and as was the breakfast.  We would recommend your hotel.  It was close enough to the activities but quiet.  We found Fogarty’s, which is right on the corner of Duval and Caroline, to have good food and not too high priced.
