My husband and I really enjoyed the Merlin Guest House. This was the first time in 7 years we traveled without kids and the employees made our stay wonderful.  The employees were very helpful and sweet all the time. Always a smile and a hello every time you would see them.  The breakfast was simple and so enjoyable sitting in the courtyard next to the pool. Not to forget Jordan the outdoor beautiful cat. We loved him. Not to mention everyday we would come home after bike riding, to a clean place, fresh towels, and a nicely made bed. We loved our stay and will highly recommend the Merlin Guest House to anyone that wants a relaxing, fun, enjoyable vacation.

My husband and I started our day early in Fort Myers Beach, taking the 4 hour express which was a bumpy, bumpy ride. We took the conch train toting our bags with us. We got off on stop 3 and took a short walk to our hotel. We arrived early, disheveled and exhausted. We were able to get into our room early. The room was wonderful, the check in easy and employees wonderful and friendly. After a short rest we headed to Duval Street, a really short walk away. The hotel is close to all the action or trolley/train stops. There was a continental breakfast in the morning. I would definitely recommend the Merlin Guest House!

The accommodations were great, off the beaten path and close to great restaurants and Duval Street.  Quiet pool area for relaxation!

I chose this hotel quickly online  and we were very happy with the accommodations.  The beds and pillows were clean and comfortable and the bathroom was updated nicely.  The breakfast outside was a delight and the staff members were very helpful.  It was a quick walk to the Fast Boat station and perfect for an overnight stay.

It was my husband and I’s first time staying at the Key Lime Inn and we couldn’t have been more pleased! We haven’t been to Key West in 18 years and haven’t been on a vacation without the children for 10 years. It was relaxing, quaint and just perfect. The cottages were adorable! Breakfast by the pool was another bonus. The location was just close enough to Duval Street and just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Duval Street. Check-in & check-out was very smooth. The front desk attendants were very friendly and helpful with any questions we had. They had recommendations for different activities going on around town and were not pushy. They didn’t try to sell us on any particular activity or thing. They helped my friend with a scuff on her shoe and even had duct tape for my dress when I had a wardrobe malfunction. Housekeeping and staff were also extremely friendly and considerate. Rooms were clean and equipped with mini refrigerator, hair dryer, iron, ironing board & even large bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel! Not mini ones.

The pool was quiet and relaxing with just the right amount of sunshine. I would most definitely stay here again!! My husband and I are thinking about going back as soon as this May. We are hooked! This place is so good, I really want to keep it a secret. Thank you again.

Until next time, Jennifer O’Neill

I can not say enough good things about the Merlin Guest House. Their staff was amazing and caring to our every need. The location is beyond convenient to shopping, eating and recreation. The rooms are perfect for journey needs. Our bed was so comfortable I didn’t want to get up. We have already decided to make getting back to Key West and the Merlin Guest House an annual event. I look forward to seeing Linda and Kenneth again.

We have been visiting Key West since 1996 and have stayed at Cypress House Hotel for over 20 years. The rooms are always clean and inviting and we enjoy our time in a relaxing atmosphere. The staff is always pleasant and helpful. The location at Caroline and Simonton is perfect for us. Many of our favorite spots are nearby – Pepe’s, Turtle Kraals, etc. We’ll be back next year for another few days in paradise….

We have stayed a number of times at the Key Lime Inn, but this year we brought our entire family. This entailed some special circumstances since we had 13 people ages 6 to 69. Mary Simmons was extremely helpful fulfilling our room needs during the booking process. Once we made it down, everyone absolutely loved the quaintness and peacefulness of the hotel. Everyone wants to come back to Key West and they all want to stay at the Key Lime Inn. In fact, my son got engaged while he was there and they are coming back to Key West for their honeymoon next November and want their same room back. Thank you so much for helping make our family vacation such a grand success.

We booked a room for one night at the Chelsea House Hotel because the price was reasonable and the location looked good. We were not disappointed. The staff were professional, courteous, and helpful. When we got to our room, we noticed the blind for the window right over our bed would not close. We informed the front desk and they replaced the blind within minutes. Even though our room was on the small side, it was more than adequate for at least a few nights stay. The room had its own porch (with a bench) and a private entrance. Our only small complaint about the room is that the air conditioning unit was running most of the time, so this noise competed with watching TV or listening to music. The location is great, only two blocks from Duval Street and two blocks from Seven Fish, a very good seafood restaurant. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.
