Our stay at the Key Lime Inn in Old Town Key West was spontaneous. We came to Key West from Key Largo without a place to stay. The Key Lime Inn happened to be in a brochure we had so we called to see if there were any openings. And…we lucked out! The reservation receptionist who greeted us on the phone was very kind and made sure that we were accommodated at a excellent price.

We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the Key Lime Inn. It had a home-like feel, a tropical new-age charm, a hint of lime at every corner :) The happy receptionist checked us in quickly since we wanted to make sunset at Mallory Square. She also kindly recommended the nearest bike shop to get us some wheels to meet the sunset in time.

As we walked to our room there was a cozy swinging chair connected to a large tree. Already, we knew that we scored with this place! As we walked we noticed a lovely deck by an aqua outdoor pool surrounded by palm trees. This was the place, the receptionist said, that breakfast would be served.

Breakfast by the poolside…can’t get much better than that! The room was very elegant and the design matched the colors and look of the hotel.

Just two blocks away is Duval street. We felt like we were in the heart of Key West, yet removed enough to still feel calm and relaxed.

We will definitely stay at the Key Lime Inn on our next visit and would highly recommend it to any other newlyweds or hard-workers looking to “get away from it all.” It was truly a slice of paradise.

I stayed last week for only two nights, but it was a fantastic stay. Matt and the staff were really helpful and everyone was genuinely polite and friendly. The location was perfect for me with the places I was interested in visiting. I already told two girls at work about Lighthouse Court and they are now talking to their husbands about staying there…I plan on staying there again the next time I go back.

The hotel was everything that it advertised; Clean, spacious room that was lovely and comfortable.  The pool was secuded and inviting.  The staff was courteous and helpful.  The location made for an easy walk to Duval street and many wonderful restaurants.  Our friends recommended the hotel to us and we would highly recommend this property to others.

This was a perfect location for us. We parked the car and used bikes to get around the island for three days, enough to see the sights and get some great food. Lighthouse Court is walking distance to several excellent restaurants. The hotel’s pool was refreshing and quiet. Situated a block west of Duval it was perfect to base our twice daily excursions via pedal power. The hotel even arranged to get us bikes.  Yes, I’d go back.

My wife and I spent 7 nights and this was our first trip to Key West.  We had a wonderful vacation. We really enjoyed relaxing and sitting on the front balcony feeling the great breeze.  The staff was helpful with any questions we had.  Housecleaning was prompt every day cleaning our room.  There are so many places to choose from regarding eating.  Duffy’s is right down the street and their steaks are very good.  Sloppy Joe’s and Caroline’s are great too.  A sunset cruise is a must.  We will make future trips to Key West.

We stayed for three nights on April 15-18 in room 7 of the historic house. We enjoyed the uniqueness of the architecture of the house with its high ceilings, woodwork, and chandeliers. Even though it is only two blocks from Duval St, there were no issues with late night noise. The front desk and staff were very helpful and provided some excellent suggestions on where to park, eat, and lay on the beach. Scott even showed us the residential area where we could park on the street during our stay. The daily breakfast is fresh and tasty, and the afternoon liming with appetizers and drinks was something we enjoyed. There was plenty of food and drink available.  The outdoor patio and pool area was smartly furnished and filled with lush vegetation and palm trees that created a nice peaceful setting to relax. We will definitely recommend the Cypress House to our family and friends and have already been talking about another visit.

Cheers.

We stayed at the Merlin Guesthouse for a family wedding, and I wish we could have stayed longer.  The location was perfect, the room was great, just as described and the staff was friendly and accommodating.  The pool is small, but perfect for a quick dip when it gets too hot laying out and there is a breakfast every morning and then iced tea out by the pool every day which was a great touch and very refreshing.  It was our first trip to Key West and we will definitely be back and will be staying at the Merlin Guesthouse!
