We spent two nights at Key Lime Inn and enjoyed every moment. The staff was very professional and polite. The location was in close proximity to Duval Street and the Conch Trolley. Our room was very clean and quite even though we were next to the pool. We enjoyed the breakfast very much. The only reason we gave the inn 4 stars is because of the small size of the room for the price. We would definitely recommend this place to others and would be happy to stay again at this hotel!

We are Canadian senior citizens who have travelled extensively. When we came to Key West and stayed at Cypress House, we couldn’t believe how perfect it was. The checkin and checkout was easy because of your staff.

We had room 5 with a wonderful porch and wonderful large chairs to sit on – which we did so often. The room was large and ever so comfortable, including the bed. The housekeeping staff was great. The breakfast around the pool was delicious and the happy hour, again around the pool, was even better, if that is possible. All the staff were wonderful, particulary Chris. Everyone was so kind and thoughtful that Cypress House remains in our heart and memory.

We hope that Cypress House continues to be successful and to welcome guests with such kindness for many years to come.

Thank you f0r everything

Pat and Norm Manahan

If I had to summarize, I would say that we felt safe and, above all, warm.

We always stay at one of your properties when we visit key west at least twice each year. Key west is where my future wife and I first vacationed and is where we are getting married this may 24. Thank you for opening up such a wonderful place. Free breakfast, wifi and parking, why would we stay anywhere else? Thank you.

We did what several travelers do on their travel bucket lists; we drove drown to Key West from Miami in a convertible.  We arrived around 5:00 pm.  The check-in process was quick and hassle free. Our room was clean and what we expected except for no working door to the balcony outside.  In reviewing the hotel’s website prior to booking, it appeared that all rooms had an immediate outdoor sitting area off the room.  Because of the decorative door to our balcony, that was not the case for our room.  That was disappointing.

Our stay in  Key West and specifically the Chelsea House was otherwise very nice.  The grounds at the hotel were very well kept and reminded us of the “old south”.  The gardens were beautiful and the pool and various outdoor  seating areas were very inviting.  The location was great as the majority of the sites to see are within walking distance.

The complimentary continental breakfast offered numerous choices.  The breakfast staff was very friendly and accommodating.

We would recommend the Chelsea House to those we know.  We enjoyed our vacation to the Florida Keys very much.  We saw numerous sites, enjoyed a wonderful array of restaurants, and visited three beaches at three state parks within an hours driving distance.  We look forward to visiting again.

Our room was near the pool, very nice with bathroom and WiFi. We ate breakfast 2 out of 3 days out by the pool; adequate breakfast selection. We would stay again. More than friendly staff.  We used the stay as a place to sleep, we spent most of the days riding our bikes, exploring and soaking in Key West.

My wife and I were visiting Key West and found this to a be lovely place. This property has a great location, only a couple blocks from Duval Street. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were modestly sized, and modernly and tastefully decorated.

Our room looked to be recently re-done. All materials used were very nice. The bathroom could’ve used a counter or storage cabinet. The breakfast by the pool was wonderful!! All of the staff was extra friendly and helpful. Loved being in a neighborhood! Lovely landscaping also!

My fiancée and I stayed here while meeting with wedding vendors in Key West. Between the private pool, mojito bar, cornhole boards, and walk to Duval Street, you have everything you need!

We only stayed on property for one night, but can’t wait for ourselves and our wedding party to experience a longer stay with Lighthouse Court in November.

Thanks especially to Marie for showing us around the property!

We stayed at the Chelsea House for 7 days February 2015. The place had such character, and a great location just far enough from Duval. With a short walk to all of the action or a short walk back to the peace and quiet of the pool, it was well worth it.

The staff was very pleasant from check in to  check out and the housekeeping staff was fabulous. The room was clean, and the towels and linens always neat and clean. The bed was super comfy too.

All visitors must remember that you are visiting a place with history and it has been around for over a century. As long as you are not expecting something brand new and pristine, you will be satisfied with its beautiful, quirky charm and character.

My girlfriend and I had an amazing stay at Cypress House Hotel over Valentine’s Weekend 2015. We were greeted with smiles at the front desk at check-in, and received a full explanation of how the place operates, including times for the complementary happy hour, breakfast, towels, etc.  We felt welcomed and very much at home instantly.

Next we were led to Room 13, which was a great little room with an amazing private courtyard. We loved having the door open to the outside and drinking coffee in the morning sun. Apparently, the weekend was one of the coldest in Key West, but it felt great out there, even in the shade.  The bed was comfortable, the room was cozy, our chandelier had a dimmer control to set the mood. The bathroom was clean, the shower had cool marble tiles, the towels were nice.

The location of the hotel is perfect. Off of Duval street enough to feel like you’ve escaped, yet close enough to get there quickly. We walked 90% of the time from the hotel to every coffee shop, restaurant, bar, and beach that we wanted to check out. We loved how close we were to everything.

One example of the service we experienced-  We had just returned from the beach and felt like jumping in the pool for a little more swimming time. We were probably late to happy hour by 45 minutes so didn’t expect to have any drinks waiting for us.  But one of the hotel employees saw us and another couple playing in the pool and brought us a tray with a jar of screwdriver mix, plastic cups, a bucket of ice, and with a smile said, “enjoy!” Amazing.

We spent a lot of time looking at different places to stay on the island and we’re happy we found and ended up at Cypress House.
