I had  a really nice stay at this hotel. Located in a great location that I was able to walk to establishments by the water and while also being able to walk to Duval.  Breakfast by the pool in the morning was enjoyable as well.

My husband and I needed to make a last-minute trip to Key West for a friend’s funeral.   The few places we stayed in the past were booked, so I reserved at the Chelsea House Hotel as it looked clean and cute (old-style Key West),  included breakfast, was located near downtown, and was reasonably priced in comparison to other places.  It was everything we hoped for, and the staff were wonderful!  It’s also nice to know they have other hotels, so if one place is booked I would feel comfortable staying at one of their other hotels. I think we have found our new “go to” place in Key West!

The Chelsea House Hotel was exactly what we wanted in a Key West experience. The hotel staff was very friendly and could always point us in the right direction for activities and food choices. We enjoyed talking to the locals that worked there, especially Barbara. She gave us so much insight into the island life and culture. The room was nice, spacious, and clean. It had a sleek, modern feel. The pool was surprisingly deep, and the pool deck was a relaxing place to be. I expected a wider variety of breakfast options, but it was enough. The Chelsea House Hotel gets 5 stars!

My husband and I stayed here on a recent trip to celebrate our anniversary and his birthday.  Check-in was quick and easy.  Matthew was extremely helpful with parking and getting our bags to our room.  Upon entering our room, there was champagne, which was a pleasant surprise and great way to start our vacation.  The room was a nice size, clean and had a enclosed “backyard” with two chairs on a small patio, nice for just sitting outside.  The location was great, walking distance to Duval street and many great restaurants.  We ate the continental breakfast by the pool, in the rain (there was covered seating, but everything was wet), on the first morning we were there, but opted to eat elsewhere on the remaining days, as the breakfast was ok but not anything to write home about.  The breakfast is the reason for the 4 rather than 5 rating.  The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful with restaurant recommendations and such.  We would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I recently spent three nights at the Lighthouse Court Hotel.  We couldn’t have been more pleased with our stay.  We were lucky enough to find a parking spot directly in front of the hotel, where we were able to keep our rental car the entire time.  The hotel is centrally located and an easy walking distance to the Southernmost Point, Duval and Mallory Square. The hotel is also directly across the street from the Hemingway House.

We received a warm welcome from Marie the moment we walked in.  She explained where everything was on the property, provided a map and a coupon for a free drink at the hotel’s Mojito Bar (which we immediatley used right after we unpacked)!

We stayed in a room which was right next to the Mojito Bar, and directly in front of the pool.  I thought the location was perfect!  I liked being able to just come right out of my room and go in the pool, even if my husband wasn’t ready to leave the room yet.  The room itself was clean and spacious.  We had a king size bed, large flat screen tv (which we didn’t turn on once) and a large bathroom with ample counter space for toiletries.  My only complaint about the room would be that the mattress was too soft for me.  If felt like a water bed without the water.  My husband, who usually has back problems, surprisingly had no issues at all!

One day we took a walk to the Southernmost Point, and to the nearby beach where we spent a couple of hours.  We made it back to the hotel in time for Happy Hour, which is conveniently from 1-3pm.  We enjoyed a few rum punches and cooled off in the pool before getting ready to go out for the evening.

Have I mentioned that the hotel is centrally located??  :)  It’s far enough from Duval to be peacful, but close enough to easily walk to all of the wonderful restaurants, bars and shopping.  We enjoyed dinner at Firefly, A&B Lobster House and Santiago’s Bodega (despite the great Yelp reviews, this was our least favorite).  We went to Happy Hour at 2 Cents, where you roll the dice to determine your drink price — I’m pretty sure we got the “tourist” dice.  Happy Hour at Bagatelle was wonderful!  Dessert at Better Than Sex was good, but didn’t live up to it’s name.  Lunch and cold beers at Lagerhead’s while enjoying the crystal clear water at Simonton Beach was a great way to spend a hot day.

We didn’t go on any sunset cruises during this stay, and we’ve yet to make it to the Dry Tortugas.  We’re hoping to fit these adventures and much more in during our next stay, and we would most definitely stay at the Lighthouse Court Hotel again!  We’ve already recommended the wonderful property to our friends who are planning a visit to Key West soon!

I had a wonderful room at the back of the annex across the road from the front desk building. It was very quiet and the room cool and inviting. I liked the kitchenette though didn’t use it much. The shower products were a nice touch too. The hotel was a few blocks from the centre and I enjoyed walking down there past the beautiful houses. The checkin and out service was efficient and friendly. I would definitely recommend it and stay again. My only recommendation would be to have black out drapes as the porch light was very bright at night and shone through the blinds. Plus it’s nice to have a dark room to sleep in in the morning. Thank you

My boyfriend and I visited Key West a few weeks ago for my birthday and stayed at the Albury Court Hotel. I was instantly drawn to the hotel based on the pictures online. Upon arrival the front desk staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, answering all my little touristy questions. Despite reading about parking in previous reviews, we actually found a spot on the street across from the hotel that we left the car in for the duration of our stay with no problem (we were very lucky!) The room itself is definitely cozy, but who is really planning on spending that much time in the room when in Key West anyways? Plus, the smaller room keeps with the feel on the older historic inn. For some reason I did think the pictures online showed some rooms having hardwood floors, but ours had carpet. I would have preferred hardwood. The room did have all the essentials we needed including a mini fridge which was nice for leftovers.  The only slight downside is that despite our AC unit being on the whole time we were there, the room felt slightly humid. That may just be a Key West thing. The best part of the hotel by far though is the amazingly quaint and adorable courtyard with the lap pool. It was the perfect place to sit under a big palm after a day of activities or under the waterfall in the pool. Plus the random rooster jumping in and out of the courtyard was really a hoot. Breakfast was standard and tasty, and the location was absolutely perfect for us!

Just a short walk to Duval street, and even shorter walk to the marina where a lot of the day tour boats leave from. Actually, if you’re up for it and in shape, the whole island is pretty much walk-able. We spent one morning walking the perimeter of the island and it was beautiful seeing the water from different angles and the colors and flavors of Key West on the interior. I’d highly recommend it! In any event, this hotel will not disappoint!

This guest house was a little oasis of calm in the heart of Key West.   Continental breakfast was taken outside in a delightful undercover area surrounded by trees and flowers. Our bedroom was very large and extremely comfortable and the coffee maker made delicious coffee!  The staff were delightful and very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.   After checking out and wandering around Key West we went back to just relax before facing the drive back to Miami, and were immediately invited to sit in the courtyard and help ourselves to iced tea. Wonderful. Would certainly recommend and hope to return.
