My wife and I stayed at the hotel to celebrate our honeymoon. The staff was very kind and helpful. They even surprised us with chocolates and champagne. The hotel is in a good location and it was peaceful as well. We will definitely be back soon!

We had a wonderful time here, the historic hotel was beautiful, as was the room! The staff were so knowledgeable and nice! The Cypress House is so close to the action of duval street. Breakfast is great, felt like being a guest in a beautiful home!

Merlin Guest House was nothing short of amazing. Great location, Great atmosphere, and by far great customer service. Ken and the staff were very personable and attentive. My husband and I can’t wait to come back! Want a day to relax, well Merlin has a lovely pool and patio area. Makes you really feel like you’re at home. Duval Street is only a short walking distance away, so night life is within arms reach.  I’d highly recommend Merlin Guest House to everyone who is wanting to visit Key West, and when you’re ready to leave, Ken will call you a taxi!

You guys rock!

See you next time!

My Husband and I had a wonderful time at the Chelsea House Hotel! The front desk staff (cannot remember her name she was blonde) was amazing, kind and over the top nice. They made our stay welcoming and wished us happy anniversary with a complimentary bottle of champagne! The Continental breakfast was awesome and simple, and Barbara by far makes amazing coffee :). Bed was a little firm, but really have no complaints, as the room was VERY clean and kept up :). It was a little piece of special in Old Key West. I would definitely recommend to friends, and I would recommend Duffy’s and the southernmost cafe as places to eat, and Dry Tortugas as an attraction. Denis was exceptional in his knowledge of the area, and we hope to see him again when we visit.

Thank you Chelsea House, we will be back!

Sincerly, Natasha & Brandon Melfi

We just returned from a nine day stay in Key West.  It was our fourth trip there and we have stayed at their Key Lime Inn & the Lighthouse Court Hotel for our previous stays.  All three of the hotels have their own individual charm and all are excellent.  The Cypress House Hotel was our overall favorite mostly because of its location.  The staff was attentive and accommodating and the room was lovely.  Look forward to returning there next year.

My wife and I frequently come to Key West, at least once a year, and often more frequently. We have stayed at many places and some have been  “not as advertised” or deceptively photographed. Some have also been very run down, breakfasts have been very poor and the staff has been less than welcoming. None of the above apply to Merlin Guest House. We thoroughly enjoyed our recent 2 night stay there.

We found the property to be very well maintained, the rooms to be beautiful, very clean and as advertised, and the staff to be very cordial and helpful. We did not have the opportunity to enjoy the breakfast, but the shaded area where it is located is beautiful and it certainly looked delicious; certainly much better than most places that we have stayed at.

Absolutely the only reason that Merlin Guest House did not receive a 5 from us was the price, which was quite high. Having said that, we realize that other Historic hotels in Old Town and a short walk to Duval, were similarly priced.

Loved it!

I loved the Merlin Guest House.  The managers were friendly, the atmosphere was relaxed and the room was clean and comfortable.  It was far enough away from the touristy Mallory Square that it was quiet and felt like a real neighborhood.  Just a few blocks from the Hemingway Home and the Lighthouse.  Great location.

Chelsea House Hotel is a great place to stay in Key West! Beautiful rooms in a wonderfully treed area. Sun deck and pool are inviting and relaxing. Front desk staff is knowledgeable and helpful about tourist attractions and what’s going on in the area. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. Easy to walk to shopping, restaurants and although a longer walk to the marina – you are in no hurry to get anywhere and plenty of places to stop and shop, drink, eat on the way! Cant wait to go back!
