I enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and the historical setting. The rooms were updated nicely. They were small, but it was to be expected for a historical property. The front desk staff was exceptional and very helpful and accommodating. I really like the historical properties and to make it the best stay will request a larger room. Everything else was perfect! The continental breakfast was just enough to get us through to lunch. The muffins were fabulous. Parking was free. Two blocks from Duval, although it was a short walk to night life. Can’t say enough good things about the staff! Thanks again!

Upon arriving at the Merlin Guesthouse we were just in awe at how secluded and serene everything was, from the pool deck, to the hammock and lush landscape.  We could have not asked for a more awesome place to stay especially considering it’s less than a 3 minute walk to Duval St.  The ladies made us feel very welcomed and were not afraid to have fluent conversations which makes you feel like friends. The housekeeping staff was fabulous and always came to freshen up while we were out. A special treat for me was the fantasist breakfast better than what most hotels offer their guest. Be sure to pet the sweet cat of whom I absolutely adored during my stay when I missed my own from home!

We are loyal Marriott travelers, so it was a leap of faith to bypass our usual home away from home and take a chance on any other option, let alone the unique experience Cypress House has to offer. We also usually temper our expectations when it comes to island accommodations – it is just a different experience than what you would get in a big city (hence the reason for skipping on the Key West “Marriott”).

However, our expectations were exceeded at the Cypress House! We stayed in Room 11 and it was decorated beautifully! The hard wood floors, the chic decor, the high ceilings with crown molding, the modern bathroom with the incredible open shower…perfect!

The front office staff was very welcoming, holding our bags until the room was ready (we arrived very early) and offering suggestions as to where we might grab some lunch. Alexander was particularly helpful and made us feel welcome.

The common area where the “liming” was held was very calm and relaxing and very nicely attended to, as well. The breakfast and the drinks and snacks during the liming were a nice touch. The kitchen is shared, but it is very nice.

Other than the wonderful accommodations at the Cypress House, you will be in the perfect location for all of your Key West must-see’s. It is walking distance from the cruise terminals and the Key West Express, walking distance to the lively Duval St. and Mallory Square. Yet, tucked away enough so that you can have your peace when you need it. A short bike ride takes you to Zachary Taylor Park (the beach), the Southernmost Point, The Little White House, the Hemingway Home and everything else that Key West has to offer!

We enjoyed our stay at the Cypress House, thoroughly. No complaints. No regrets! We will be visiting again!

Very clean, stylish and comfortable room in a charming, small hotel literally a stone’s throw from Duval Street and a short walk from the sea. Very friendly and helpful staff, easygoing atmosphere. Breakfast is a little limited, but adequate. Bedroom was very comfortable. Would definitely come back when next in Key West.

My husband and I have stayed at the Key Lime Inn our last 2 visits to Key West. Having breakfast provided by the deck/pool area every morning is so nice and relaxing.  The pool is clean and the staff is very friendly.  We also have found the guests have been friendly and fun to be around. The atmosphere is very “chill”.  The location is perfect for us because we enjoy walking.  Duval is just a couple blocks down the street.  Also, there is a drug store near by which is convenient for any needs.  Highly recommend Key Lime Inn!

My wife and I recently visited Key West for the first time and spent a wonderful two nights at Lighthouse Court.  Our stay couldn’t have been nicer! Wonderful, clean room. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Location was perfect, no need to move the car. For this newly published author, being right across the street from the Hemingway House was a plus. We’ll recommend both Key West and the Lighthouse Court to all of our friends!

Thanks,

My husband and I recently stayed at the Lighthouse Court. As soon as I walked into the room I felt like I was on Vacation! The room was clean bright and had that tropical feel. Everyone from the minute I walked into the office was so friendly and helpful. The pool area was great there is a bar there as well. The continental breakfast that was offered was nice too. Pool towels were provided which is a nice touch, not all places have them. We had the king room directly behind the office, I would suggest a vanity or small table in the bathroom for storage-there is plenty of room. Also a curtain on the bathroom window, there are blinds but did not seem private enough, as the ice machine was right by the window. I would definitely come back, loved the chairs outside our room to just sit and relax with a drink!

Great place- loved it!!

This is one of the best and friendliest guest houses we have stayed in at Key West and would recommend its cleanliness and position near Duval Street. We are from the UK and had a very good stay at the Merlin Guesthouse.
