Jimmy Buffett Concert At The San Carlos: April 1st
Big scoop, it was just announced that Jimmy Buffett will give a free, live concert at the historic San Carlos Institute in Key West on April 1st!! You can’t buy tickets, you can win them though. Create a set list for them to play and enter to win free tickets to the show and a trip to Key West!

2nd Annual Cow Key Bridge Run: April 18th
Now this is our type of run! Feel like running across a bridge in Key West without waking up early or breaking a sweat? Join zany-dressed participants for the world’s only Zero K across one of the shortest bridges in the Keys. Get your T-shirt and more info here.
After the race come celebrate your success at our Lighthouse Court Hotel Mojito Bar at 901 Whitehead Street! Relax around the pool, sip on your favorite cocktail and get your latitude adjustment on! Mike will be running some delicious drink specials at the Mojito Bar poolside too! Guests say they make the best mojito in town; our favorite is the apple mojito. Yum!! They go down like water.
Key West Paddleboard Classic: April 30th – May 3rd
During this ocean paddleboard, racers enjoy a challenging 12-mile course over crystal blue waters, circling Key West through scenic mangroves, passing by the Historic Seaport district and more. The race around Key West is open to paddlers on standup paddleboards, prone boards, outrigger canoes, dory boats, surf skis and kayaks. Other weekend beach and paddling activities are planned.
The course has an “ocean start” though the race start and finish location has been moved down the street so that friends and families can watch the finish in traditional ” beach finish” style! It’s going to be a lot of fun as always.
20th Key West Songwriters Festival: May 6th – 10th
The 20th-annual showcase of musical magic features America’s foremost performing songwriters, with concerts staged in intimate, audience-friendly island settings.
This year there will be an astounding 150 performers!
Beaches, boats, bars, resorts and historical theatres are all of the venues for this year’s festival. Most of the shows are free to enter.

3rd Annual Key Lime Festival: July 3rd & 4th
The 2015 Key Lime Pie Championships will be a yummy way to visit the Smokin’ Tuna! Come taste sample pies from contestants vying for the blue ribbon in the Conch, Amateur and Professional Divisions. The $10 admission fee includes 5 selections from the sampling table and a ballot to cast your vote for the Peoples Choice Award.
There will also be pie demonstrations, V.I.P. wine pairings, music and a zany competition for the Miss Key Lime USA Pageant title at the Green Parrot! It doesn’t get more American than Key Lime Pie in Key West. Come have fun on the island.
Hemingway Days: July 21st – 26th
Do you think you look like Ernest Hemingway? Have you ever wanted to run with the bulls? The 34th annual celebration of the author’s work features literary readings, a one-man play, a short story competition, a three-day Marlin fishing tournament, a Look-Alike Contest and a fun “Running With The Bulls” competition down Duval. Come and be part of the exuberance!
The Papa look-alike contest finale takes place at Sloppy Joe’s Bar, 201 Duval St. on Saturday, July 25th with preliminary rounds on Thursday and Friday.
Hemingway loved his mojito’s and Mike makes some of the best on the island. Come to have one, or three, at our Lighthouse Court Hotel Mojito Bar across from Hemingway’s House, and maybe you will be inspired to write your next novel too!
6th Annual Key West Brewfest: Sept 3rd – 7th
More than 150 beers and micro-brews are going to be tap at this annual event that benefits the Key West Sunrise Rotary Club of the Conch Republic. Events include beer dinners & brunches, pool parties, late-night parties, and the Signature Tasting Festival Event are lined up for this year.
DAILY: Enjoy poolside Happy Hours at Lighthouse Court Cafe & Mojito Bar from 4 – 7pm Mike will be featuring some great beers. Come relax the day away under the sunshine by the pool with your family & friends.
Red Barn Theatre: Ongoing
Red Barn sets the bar for really great theatre in Key West. Works by Bob Bowersox, Mike Marrero, Mike Craver, Debra Monk, Mark Hardwick, Mary Murfitt, Charles Busch, Nora Ephron & Delia Ephron, Eric H. Weinberger and Donald Margulies have audiences laughing, crying, singing and generally just having a great night out. Get more info about the Red Barn Theatre here. Start your evening off with a Sour Coconut coconut Bacardi white rum and lime, at our Poolside Mojito Bar and then head out to the barn for the performance.
