The holiday season is one of the most enchanting and charming times to visit Key West. We are very excited that local artists Ann Lorraine & Rick Worth will be designing the Christmas decorations at our Cypress House Hotel again this year! Ann is well known for her award-winning Fantasy Fest costumes and for her work as window and float designer for Fast Buck Freddie’s department store. Rick is also well known as a painter who uses discarded materials as his canvases. He has left his mark all over town on cars, murals, fences, posters, tee shirts, theatre sets and parade floats.
Come on by 601 Caroline Street between 5-6pm to enjoy some refreshments and tour our beautiful, and magical, Grand Conch Mansion as she is decked out in her Christmas cheer.
Enjoy three days of pirate battles as Captain Crudbeard, along with the Pirates of the Dark Rose and members of the Fort Taylor Redcoats, defend our beloved Fort Zachary Taylor against the invading pirates! Step back in time to encounter piracy from 1675 through 1825 with pirate encampments, living history demonstrations and live land & sea battles. The Brigands and The Baudy Buccaneers will be on hand to sing sea shanties and pub songs full of lore.

All of the music certainly adds to the magic of he evening.
Many different kinds of vessels participate every year, we have even seen kayaks decked out in lights & strung together in a happy caravan and skiffs sporting a Santa led by dolphins instead of reindeer!
DURING THE HOLIDAYS: Come enjoy some of your favorite brews poolside or under the sails at our Mojito Bar. Peter also has a fun drink called ‘Float Your Boat’, a smashing blend of blue curacao, spiced rum, sour mix & orange juice. Enjoy poolside Happy Hours from 4-7pm with excellent prices on beer and specialty drinks too.
Everyone is invited to decorate their bikes and themselves to join a wonderful bicycle parade on a 9 mile meander thru Old Town and New Town to view the lighted houses of Key West. This annual event is put on by the Key West Bicycle Association and it has quickly become a growing tradition for both locals & visitors on bikes. We can help you rent a bicycle for your visit, just let our front desk staff know at check-in. You can find decorations at several stores around town.

Enjoy it poolside from 4PM – 7PM at our beautiful property just across the street from the Hemingway House. CNN is here to cover her show as Anderson Cooper & Kathi Griffin cut over to join us!
