Parrotheads 24th Annual Meeting Of The Minds In Key West: November 4th – 8th
Fans of Jimmy Buffett come to Margaritaville for their annual “Meeting of the Minds” convention. Join us for our free Parrothead music events at our Lighthouse Court Hotel, 902 Whitehead Street, when we will have our 11th Mojito Bar Songwriter’s Concerts with Kelly McGuire & Friends. The concerts are open to all guests of Historic Key West Inns hotels so come relax around the pool, sip on a Key Lime Margarita, sing along with Kelly and get your latitude adjustment on!

35th Key West Superboat Powerboat Championship Races: November 8th – 15th
The Key West World Championship Race takes place in Key West in November. If you haven’t seen powerboat racing before, you will not believe the excitement from the roar of these boats racing through the harbor. The viewing stands are right in front of the action. The Key West race is the culmination of a year of racing for the teams. You will see the biggest, the fastest, and the best.
Race Village, with the Wet Pits, Dry Pits, and race viewing, is at the Truman Waterfront on the western shore of Key West. All of our 6 Historic Key West Inns hotels are located within walking distance of Race Village. Race week begins with a parade of Superboat’s down Duval Street on Sunday, Nov 8. Key West Film Festival: November 18th – 22nd
Showcasing films that exhibit excellence in storytelling, the festival’s lineup is to feature screenings and special events hosted at landmark venues throughout Key West, including the Tropic Cinema and San Carlos Institute. The four-day program includes films from multiple genres and categories, as well as, social events with filmmakers, actors and film lovers.

International Sand Sculpting Competition Key West: November 25th – 29th
Kick off this Holiday season with some art, music, food and drinks on the beach at 1500 Reynolds Street. A professional sand sculpting competition brings the beach to life Thanksgiving weekend. It’s free for the public, you can go by and watch the sculptors at work between 9am and 6pm.
A second fun event is the Mel Fisher Treasure Dig. Three persons will be randomly chosen to dig, only using your hands, for one original coin (which comes with an appraised value and certificate) and other prizes which will be hidden inside a sand sculpture. You can win a sunset sail, jet ski tour around the island, and gift certificates to restaurants around town. You will need to buy a T-shirt to be able to participate in the drawing to be one of the ‘diggers’. The event takes place at 2pm on November 27th, you can find more info here.

Ho, Ho, Ho…Christmas Holiday’s In Key West: November 25th – December 20th
Key West at Christmas time is tropically magical and beautifully enchanting. Come join us as we hop a bicycle, or an Old Town Trolley, to tour the island, oohing and aahing at all of the wonderful homes and hotels all decked out for the season. - December 5th: Key West Hometown Holiday Parade – We set out chairs at our Key Lime Inn and Chelsea House Hotel for guests to watch the parade go down Truman avenue. We have a little cocktail there as well.
- December 12th: Key West Lighted Boat Parade – Historic Seaport area
- December 20th: Holiday Classic Car Show – Green & Elizabeth street area
DURING THE HOLIDAYS: Come enjoy some of your favorite cocktails poolside or under the sails at our Mojito Bar at the Lighthouse Court Hotel. Marie has a fun drink called Float Your Boat, a smashing blend of blue curacao, spiced rum, sour mix & orange juice that she is happy to make for you. New Years Eve In Key West: December 31st
The Southernmost City has many wacky and unique celebrations to ring in 2016! There is a Pirate Wench descending from a tall ship’s mast in the Historic Harbor; a Conch Shell Drop at Sloppy Joe’s Bar at 201 Duval Street, and most famously is the shoe drop of Sushi, the diva drag queen, as she descends in a 6-foot, studded, red high heel shoe at the Bourbon Street Pub and New Orleans House at 724 Duval Street. We have been t all of them over the years and they are each a lot of fun.
Come have a cocktail, or three, as you lounge around the pool at the Mojito Bar at the Lighthouse Court Hotel relaxing and listening to tunes before you head out for the evening’s fun. Danielle has excellent drink prices on beer and specialty drinks too.
Key West Food & Wine Festival: January 27th – 31st
Top chefs and restaurateurs from the tasty and creative Key West restaurant scene display culinary Keys’ indigenous cuisine in a tasty schedule of events for food lovers. Highlights include the lively “Duval Uncorked Deconstructed,” neighborhood wine strolls, food and wine pairings, intriguing seminars, an outdoor artisan wine market and a “Mile O” grand tasting.

Red Barn Theatre: Ongoing
Red Barn sets the bar for really great theatre in Key West. Works by Bob Bowersox, Mike Marrero, Mike Craver, Debra Monk, Mark Hardwick, Mary Murfitt, Charles Busch, Nora Ephron & Delia Ephron, Eric H.
