This event is open to all guests of Historic Key West Inns so come relax around the pool, sip on your favorite cocktail, sing along with Kelly and get your latitude adjustment on! Peter will also be running some delicious drink specials at the Mojito Bar poolside too! Guests say he makes the best mojito in town; our favorite is the apple mojito. Yum!! They go down like water.
Key West Powerboat Races: November 2nd – 9th
The 34th Annual Key West World Championship Race takes place in Key West in November. If you haven’t seen powerboat racing before, you will not believe the excitement from the roar of these boats racing through the harbor. The viewing stands are right in front of the action. The Key West race is the culmination of a year of racing for the teams. You will see the biggest, the fastest, and the best.
Race Village, with the Wet Pits, Dry Pits, and race viewing, is at the Truman Waterfront on the western shore of Key West. All of the Historic Key West Inns are located within walking distance of Race Village. Race week begins with a parade of Superboats down Duval Street on Sunday, Nov 2nd. Race days are Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, Nov 5th, 7th, and 10th.

Key West Latin Arts Festival: November 7th – 10th
We are excited to once again experience the Latin Arts Festival in Key West. This year’s theme ” Winds Of The Soul” (Vientos del Alma) celebrates the music & dance traditions of Argentina, Brazil, Cuba, Mexico, Paraguay, Bolivia and Peru.
There will be drumming workshops, poetry readings, wine tastings, culinary surprises and a spectacular theatrical concert. This year’s highlights include: Inner Nacional Sound’s Christian Monzón and Valerie Carr, renowned Miami-based Tango Times dance stars Roxana Garber and Oscar Caballero.
All of the events will be held at the historic San Carlos Institute on Duval street. We always find ourselves dancing the night away! Starting in October, you can purchase your tickets for the theatrical concert at keystix.com
Key West Film Festival: November 12th – 16th
We are so happy that the festival is now in their 3rd year and growing! Last year we saw 7 films, attended several film-related events and had a wonderful time meeting filmmakers, directors and other film fans from around the world. This year’s selections should be as wonderful.
Holiday Parade in Key West: December 6th
Christmas in Key West is a really magical time of year, one that begins with the hometown holiday parade. There are marching bands and groups, floats from which people through beads and candies into the crowd, and lots of holiday music & Santa sightings!!
The parade starts at Truman Avenue and White Street and proceeds down Truman Avenue to Duval street. We will have chairs and hot cider for our guests set up at Chelsea House Hotel for a front seat to watch the parade go by. Come join us!
24th Key West Lighted Boat Parade: December 13th
Lighted and decorated vessels from rowboats to tall ships sail around Key West’s Historic Seaport and harbor areas. The parade starts at 8 p.m. You can watch it onboard a Fury or Sebago catamaran or from the shore at any of the harbor restaurants and bars.
Come enjoy our happy hour at Lighthouse Court Mojito Bar from 4-6pm before you head out for the parade. Peter will be happy to make your favorite cocktail for you as you lounge by the pool under the sparkling lights.
New Year’s Eve – Key West Style: December 31st
There are 4 different ‘drops’ you can experience on New Years Eve in Key West!! All are terrific ways to ring in the New Year with dancing, laughter, smiles and friends.
- The outrageous drag queen, Sushi, drops in a gigantic red high-heel shoe at Bourbon Street Pub on Duval Street.
- A huge sculpted key lime wedge drops into a gigantic margarita glass at the sunset pier.
- A very big man-made conch shell slides from the roof of Sloppy Joe’s on Duval
- A pirate wench descends from the top of a mast of a tall ship at Schooner Wharf on the Historic Harbor.
Start your evening poolside under sparkling lights with your favorite cocktails at our Lighthouse Court Mojito Bar from 4-6 for happy hour before you head out for the evening. Peter will have you feeling fine.
Red Barn Theatre: Ongoing
Red Barn sets the bar for really great theatre in Key West. Works by Bob Bowersox, Mike Marrero, Mike Craver, Debra Monk, Mark Hardwick, Mary Murfitt, Charles Busch, Nora Ephron & Delia Ephron, Eric H. Weinberger and Donald Margulies have audiences laughing, crying, singing and generally just having a great night out. Get more info about the Red Barn Theatre here. Start your evening off with a Sour Coconut coconut Bacardi white rum and lime, at our Poolside Mojito Bar and then head out to the barn for the performance.
DAILY: Enjoy poolside Happy Hours at Lighthouse Court Cafe & Mojito Bar from 4PM – 6PM Peter will be happy to make you a Sex on the Sand or your favorite libation! Come try our delicious specialty drinks or just relax the day away under the sunshine by the pool with your family & friends.
