Key West has several beaches scattered along the southern shore of the island. The largest being Smather’s Beach, located in New Town near the airport. Beaches in Old Town include Higgs Beach at the southern end of White Street, South Beach at the southern end of Duval Street, and Ft Zachary Taylor at the western end of Southard Street. Old Town beaches are accessible by walking or biking from any Historic Key West Inn. You can find the current water temperatures here.
Key West Historic Seaport
Also known as the Bight, or the Seaport; Key West Harbor is the base of operations for charter boats, yachtsmen, and many other exciting water sports such as Key West scuba diving. You will also find shopping, restaurants, and nightlife. The Ferry Terminal is located there, with daily service to Ft Meyers. The harbor is also the place to catch the ferry to Dry Tortugas National Park. Albury Court is located just two blocks from the harbor.
