Cypress House Hotel – Birthday Palooza!

We went for the weekend to celebrate my best friend’s 50th birthday.  We absolutely loved our room.  It was the middle one in terms of cost, but was so spacious, yet quaint at the same time.  Very comfortable and with lots of character.  Breakfast was good and the happy hour too!  Thank you for a great weekend!

Cypress House Hotel – Bravo!!

Our stay at the Cypress House Hotel was a first class experience. Dennis and Jacob went out of their way to welcome us and make sure that every attention to detail was taken care of.

The room was beautiful and clean, the Liming Hour was a great way to meet fellow guests and the homemade breakfast was a pleasant surprise.

You can’t beat the location of this hotel! Not far to stumble home from Duval Street after a long night of partying.

Cypress House Hotel – Great Location And Very Clean

We stayed here for three nights. We loved the location because it was just off of Duval Street, but quiet enough to get some rest. The rooms were clean and comfortable. It had a historic and modern style interior and was nicely decorated. The staff was extremely nice. Breakfast and liming (afternoon cocktail and snack) were such treats! Thank you for a great first time in Key West!

Cypress House Hotel – Excellent Place To Stay

The Cypress House Hotel is an excellent place to stay in Key West.  It is within easy walking distance to Duval St and is a very clean and well maintained property.  The staff was all friendly (Scott especially was very welcoming and helped us with our reservation and check in).  The pool area was also very nice and they had a “happy hour” in the afternoons.  Clean and comfortable rooms.  Thank you!!

Cypress House Hotel – Good Location, Pleasant Stay

We are a couple who choose to vacation in Key West, a first time visit for both of us. We stayed in a room in the Richard Kemp House of the Cypress House Hotel.

PROS:
1) Quaint ‘historical’ room
2) Room/bed/bath was clean and comfortable. Air conditioner worked
3) Location, one block off Duval, 4 blocks from gulf side/small beach
4) Rate affordable compared to others
5) Very helpful and personable staff

CONS:
1) Towels (original and replacements) were thick, but surprisingly scratchy
2) Since our room fronted on Caroline, we were awoken several times during the night by traffic noise, but it was not unbearable

AMENITIES:
1) Pool was decent size for a dip. Comfortable seating
2) Sangria or Margaritas in the evenings and light appetizers were nice touches
3) Coffee available till about 8:00 pm and fruit kept out in the kitchen area
4) Breakfast was basic continental-style consisting of cereals, toast, bagels, muffins, yogurt, etc. and a daily special

NOTES:
Address: We booked thru the internet and my confirmation email print-out had “Cypress House Hotel” at the top; HOWEVER the address and telephone at the bottom of the confirmation was for the Key Lime Inn. This is NOT the hotel’s fault. My email had the correct address, but my home printer did not print the page correctly. Just FYI.

Parking: Discounted $10/night parking rate at garage about 4 blocks away. The fee was not an issue for me because I expect to pay parking in resort areas plus it was a boutique hotel. Old-Town Key West is very walkable and mopeds/bicycles are available for rent.

Internet: Originally was not available unless I stood on the porch, in the hallway or the pool area. When I brought to the front desk’s attention, they had the connection up and running by the time we returned a few hours later.

Cypress House Hotel – Great Vacation

Location, Location, Location!!!  The Cypress House was perfect.  My wife & I had a wonderful vacation.  It was an easy walk to everything.  Duval Street was a short walk away.  We enjoyed our breakfast by the pool each morning.   We also enjoyed our afternoon swim before the Limimg Hour.  Dennis was great.   He answered all our questions.  We highly recommend the Cypress House Hotel.  We hope to return soon.

Thank you! ?☀️?

Cypress House Hotel – Stay 8/23 – 8/24

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Cypress House Hotel. Melissa greeted us and was very cordial and welcoming as well as informative. The room was clean and neat – well appointed and the bathroom was great – nice and modern! Ha ! From the historic outside we did not know what to expect! The room and bath were nicely ‘modern’. Overall a great stay!

Cypress House Hotel – Fantastic!!!

I booked this room to surprise my husband, we needed a honeymoon do over because ours a few months earlier was horrible weather. We had a great time in Key West and a lot of it had to do with the great accommodations at Cypress House Hotel. Upon arrival we had to wait a few minutes to be helped and the gentleman gave us a room upgrade for doing so. He was very nice and we made it just in time for Liming hour, which was very nice every afternoon. The room was very clean, even though it was an historic house, the furniture, bed and bathroom was all newly remodeled. The pool was a great spot to end the day, no kids running about (I have kids, but this was a much needed kid free weekend) made it even better. Breakfast was simple but good, not the usual continental breakfast choices. Stuffed croissants, burritos, muffins. All were very good. If I had any complaints the only one was that the AC unit was right next to the bed and I am one who does NOT like to be cold, but my husband is always hot, so he took that side and Loved it!

We will definitely be staying at Cypress House again and again as time allows us to get away.

Cypress House Hotel – Great Stay!
A couple things that standout:
1. Perfect location. Just a few blocks from the heart of things including Duval, Mallory Sq, great bars and restaurants. All these things are very walkable. But it’s far enough away to keep it quiet at night. Or rent a bike and it’s a few minute ride to Smathers or Higgs beaches.2. Clean and well maintained. Our room was newly updated with a nice bathroom. The grounds are very clean with a relaxing tropical feel. The pool was very nice and refreshing after walking around all day.

3. Service. Everyone was super-friendly and helpful.

Breakfast and “liming hour” were decent. Just a nice bonus to save a few dollars.

Overall, I’d highly recommend.
