Cypress House Hotel – Delightful Stay!

I always try to book local authentic hotels on my trips either within the US or abroad, I just don’t like the chain hotel feel while I’m vacationing, perfectly fine for business but not for pleasure! Sometimes they can be hit and miss but the staff and the facility at the Cypress House Hotel were right on target for a great local feel experience.

The rooms themselves were clean, tidy and everything we needed. Sure the bathroom was a little small, but that didn’t bother us. We spent very little time in there and little time in our room anyway! The staff were great, shout outs to Dennis and Scott for being such great hosts. These guys were courteous and very pleasant all through our trip. They went out of their way effortlessly to make sure you were taken care of. 5 star service from these guys that’s for sure. This was my first time in Key West and when I come back I know where I’ll be staying.

Cypress House Hotel – Great Place

This is a great place close to Duval street but not too close. Loved the happy hour and breakfast. Bedroom was nice and cool. We loved the old time charm of this hotel. The staff there gave us a tour of the buildings and explained times for breakfast, pool hours and liming hour. We would definitely come back and stay here and recommend it to our friends.

Cypress House Hotel – Home Away From Home

We recently stayed at the Cypress House Hotel for 7 nights in celebration of our 10th wedding anniversary. We had a King room with porch, and loved our room. The size was perfect, although I did have an issue with all the light at night. We live out in the country, so I’m accustomed to total darkness at night. The front porch light of our room was always on and is bright coming in those front windows. The last few nights, we closed the outside front shutters, which helped some, but it still had a lot of light coming in the other windows in the room, which we couldn’t access the shutters to. Curtains would do a lot to help with this. Also, the ceiling fan only had 2 working speeds, low or high; just like Goldilocks, low was too low, and high was too high. Other than those two things, we were very pleased with our room and the hotel as a whole. Breakfast and liming hour were very nice amenities. All the staff that we met were very friendly and helpful, and all were knowledgeable about things around town as well.

The location of this hotel was extremely convenient for us. We were only a short walk away from the grocery store Fausto’s, and we also spent a lot of our time in the A&B Marina area, so a very short walk there as well. Our favorite restaurant there was the Boathouse; we went there almost every day. Of course Sloppy Joe’s is a must go when in Key West, and we went there once or twice; same thing, it was a very short walk, so very convenient.

The location of this hotel was superb, and the value that we got, I think was excellent. I would definitely recommend it to anyone planning to go to Key West, and we will definitely be booking this hotel for our next stay! Knowing how amazing of a hotel this is takes a lot of pressure off of future trip planning, because we already know where we want to stay!

I Work For The Largest Hotel Brand In The World, And Would Stay At The Cypress House Hotel EVERY SINGLE TIME!

Key West has always been a special place for me.  I began visiting KW around 2003 with my then new husband.  We loved KW and made it down several times for celebrations, relaxation, or just to have some fun together.  My husband and I were married just shy of 12 years before he died of a very rare cancer this past Valentines Day, 2016.  He was 3 weeks shy of his 36th birthday.  My husband’s parents who also live in Florida asked to keep our 7 year old twin girls for 10 days.  I decided to take a few of my child free days and to head down to KW before picking them up in Southern Florida and flying them back to Michigan.  I needed to feel close to my late husband, and KW is a place that lets me do that.  We have so many great memories here.

I work for the largest hotel brand in the world.  I know good service when I see it.  This last trip in to KW I was not able to get a room at the brand that I work for, as it was pretty last minute and at peak times.  My friend loves bed & breakfasts, boutique type hotels.  We read good reviews on the Cypress House Hotel and decided to give it a go…  boy was that a GREAT decision!

When we arrived we had the pleasure of meeting Scott.  He helped with our luggage, gave us a cocktail even though we had already missed the nightly cocktail hour, gave us a tour of the property, and got us to our room easily.  Scott was more than helpful our entire stay.  He is so pleasant, and I would hire him at one of my hotels in a second!

Upon entering the room I was immediately impressed.  It was VERY clean, modern, spacious, and cool.  There was Champagne on ice waiting for me for my birthday which my friend and I quickly enjoyed.  We were able to enjoy the more than continental breakfast each day, and adult cocktail hour at night.  We were not sure if we would use the pool or not…  well, we ended up using it every night!  It was clean and just the right temperature to cool off after a long day.  One night my friend and I wanted a snack but didn’t want to leave the pool, so the younger kid that was working the desk that night was so gracious and brought us chips and salsa from the fridge.  This service and all the service we received while at the Cypress House Hotel was TOP NOTCH!  Not only have I told many friends and family about this hotel, but I will continue to stay for my future visits even though I have a hotel right on the water at Mallory Square.  Am I impressed?  YES!

Thank you to the Cypress House Hotel, the staff, and beautiful KW for a much needed return trip that did not disappoint.

Cypress House Hotel – Great Place To Stay

We had a great time here for Lobster Fest weekend.  Jacob couldn’t be more pleasant and accommodating to us.  Check in and check out were easy and the morning breakfasts and “liming” hours were enjoyable. Everyone went above and beyond to make us happy.  I would definitely visit again, as this is the second time we’ve stayed in one of their Historic Key West Inns hotels.

Cypress House Hotel – Exceeded Our Expectations!

My family and I were greeted by Danielle and Dennis upon check-in and they were so gracious and friendly.  Gave us a tour and showed us to all of our rooms.  Our accommodations were perfectly suited for our mixed aged group.  The location of the property was perfect and allowed us all to walk to our individual activities and then regroup poolside for the complimentary breakfast and liming hours…each offering generous portions and delicious selections.  No detail was overlooked.  All staff members were wonderful..attentive, but laid-back.  Can’t wait to visit Cypress House Hotel again…and soon!

Cypress House Hotel – Fabulous Find In Key West!

Love the Cypress House Hotel on Caroline Street!  We recently stayed for two nights and had a wonderful time.  From the excellent welcoming by Dennis to the lovely liming in the afternoon to our wonderful accommodations it was just perfect!  Having stayed in Key West twice before we have never had an experience as positive as this. The location of Cypress House is excellent and the history so interesting. Our room was spacious, clean and well appointed.  Thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast  in the morning by the pool with the complimentary newspaper.  Life is good we said!

Thanks again Dennis and all for the fabulous time.  Missing KW already.

Cypress House Hotel – Relaxing Time

In this historic hotel, we had a very relaxing time. Upon our arrival we enjoyed the rum punch. The room was delightfully decorated. The location is just a short walk to Duval street.  Wonderful time spent at Cypress House Hotel.
