Lighthouse Court Hotel – Great Location, Courteous Staff

The Lighthouse Court Hotel is ideally located.  The staff are courteous, professional and very helpful.  El Siboney Restaurant has the best Cuban food we have ever had.

Lighthouse Court Hotel – Nice Setting
  1. Laura from Spain very helpful with check in
  2. Parking in back to unload and then parking in lot 2 blocks away is good option given such limited parking in area.
  3. Room 3 D worked pretty well but pretty small. Minor issues such as: Had a bench but needed it for suitcase so no chair. A wardrobe for clothing by each side of bed worked. Small shelves on each wardrobe held small things like phone, pocket stuff. However, no table or chest in room.  May have been handicap room since bath was large. Putting a small table in the bath would help overall. A folding chair would have even helped too. We put the ice bucket on the tub rather than floor?
  4. Setting was very nice with multiple buildings among beautiful landscaping and nice pool area larger than we expected. Brick walkways added to ambiance. Everything well maintained and fast clean up after heavy winds/rain. Simply very nice old Florida feel and very clean and workman working on little items to keep it updated.
  5. We enjoy light healthy breakfast with yogurt, fruit, breads, great coffee, sweet rolls.
  6. Nice little mojito bar indoors by pool offered good drinks. No food. Marina treated us well!
  7. Location is good 1 block off Duval. About 5 blocks to southernmost point, which is smaller area than we expected. People get in line for a fast pic and then move on. Mallory square is about 12 blocks in opposite direction.  Fun walk up Duval st. with all the shops and restaurants-we enjoy walking. There are plenty of cabs and bicycle taxis for those desiring a ride.
  8. We toured the Hemingway House across from hotel, road the open air tour bus, and went thru the Truman White House. 3 part ticket was about $55 each. We also visited the free eco museum about preserving the reef and underwater environment. Is on walk to Fort Zachary which is also free and worth an hour or two. Unique history.  Zachary Beach is just past Fort.  It had a few more rocks in the sand but we really liked this medium sized beach. Lots of snorkeling along rock walls. Fishing allowed at far right end with license.  Fairly crowded in a good way. Has a state operated carry out sandwich shop and chair concession. Lots of parking but it did fill up. Some seemed to walk and hit the sites along the way and then took a cab back to Duval area.  Higgs Beach has nicer sand and full service restaurant. Next to a large resort hotel so also busy and more upscale clientele maybe.  The big city beach/park with long pier was not very busy but also had a restaurant and young adults playing volleyball. Just a few people sunbathing here and there.  May be used by more locals but not sure.
  9. Great restaurants but you have to check reviews.  Good late night music at Kevin’s Irish joint.  Everyone hits the long pier/restaurant  by Mallory square for drinks, light dinner, sunset.
  10. Key West was great trip for us for the history, beaches, variety of food/restaurants, later night music. Temperatures nice in low 80’s – warmer than usual for January.  The Old Town section of the island near Duval has great old Florida vibe and very walkable. The newer section has more large commercial/chain stores and hotels/traffic etc and not as appealing to us.

Lighthouse Court Hotel – Love This Place

This was our third visit, everything was great. Location couldn’t be beat. We are regular visitors and have tried a few other places in town and we have found the Lighthouse Court to be our favorite. It was just my wife and I this time but in June we had my daughters wedding at Hemingway’s House across the street and we had around 40 people; the Lighthouse Court Hotel could not have been better. Staff is excellent.

Lighthouse Court Hotel – Much Needed Break From The Mid-Atlantic Winter!

This trip was a Christmas present to my fiance. We have really been looking forward to getting away from the gray, damp days of this Mid-Atlantic winter. Waking up to the warm sunshine every morning was spectacular, made even more impressive from the bedroom loft of the Hemingway Suite. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting on our wrap-around porch with a glass of Scotch after dinner overlooking the Hemingway House watching the famous cats patrol the grounds. The hotel is central to everything. We walked everywhere from one end of the island to the other. The day trip to the Dry Tortugas was a special treat, and the depth of history at the Truman Little White House was a pleasant surprise. Cafe Sole and Azure are off the beaten path restaurants that we highly recommend.

I held the last pineapple in the rating only because I would recommend a more robust selection at breakfast especially more fresh fruit selections. I expected more being in Florida. But otherwise the staff was excellent, the grounds well kept, the pool pristine, and the bartenders at the Mojito Cafe quite friendly!

Lighthouse Court Hotel – 5 Pineapples = Excellence!

The Lighthouse Court Hotel was home base for three days and nights, as we celebrated our daughter’s wedding, three weeks ago.  From our initial contact with the Lighthouse Court management, the service, and attention to details were second to none.  When we arrived at the Lighthouse Court, we were greeted by friendly staff and directed to our waiting rooms.  The rooms were brightly decorated with modern furnishings, with housekeeping staffs who were friendly and courteous.  Also, not to be missed, is the Hemingway Suite for the honeymoon couple, or for a romantic time for any occasion.  It is gorgeous and spacious with a loft, high beamed ceilings and a view of the Lighthouse off of a private patio.  When not in our rooms, we enjoyed sitting poolside, with family and friends, enjoying cocktails, light snacks (from the poolside Mojito Bar), or a fabulous complimentary breakfast!  While parking can be challenging, for a small fee ($10.00 a day) the hotel offers a private parking lot within walking distance.

The location of the Lighthouse Court Hotel is a prime location for a walk down Duval Street and a visit to Mallory Square.  We spent our time walking to various restaurants (915, Blue Heaven and more) during our stay.

We will return to Key West in the future and we will definitely stay at the Lighthouse Court Hotel, again! We highly recommend this hotel when visiting Key West.

Lighthouse Court Hotel – Wonderful Courtyard Pool Area

We enjoyed staying at the Lighthouse Court Hotel ….our room was clean with everything we needed. We especially appreciated the breakfast served poolside daily and the friendly atmosphere. This hotel was close to the action, but quiet and secluded at the same time. Thanks for the southern hospitality!

Lighthouse Court Hotel – Another Great Stay

We just returned from another lovely stay at the Lighthouse Court  Hotel.  It is a super comfortable place to stay in a very convenient location.  The rooms are clean and comfortable and made up beautifully each day.  The pool and surrounding area provide plenty of space whether you want to be in the sun or shade.  We enjoy the pleasantness of the staff and breakfast is a great way to start the day.  It is our go-to place to stay whenever we visit Key West.  Thanks for another great visit!

Lighthouse Court Hotel – Beautiful, Relaxing and Great Location

The Lighthouse Court Hotel never lets us down. I have stayed at this hotel several times. The location of this hotel is in a wonderful location, away from all the noise and yet close enough to walk to everything.  When you first arrive, you are greeted by friendly staff that are willing to answer all your questions. Your room will be big enough and have all the amenities to fill all your needs.  The heated pool is relaxing after a busy day on Duval Street. In the morning you are treated to a delicious continental breakfast.  Best of all, Gary the kitty will be there to greet everyone morning, noon & night. You will not be disappointed.
