Merlin Guest House – Awesome Guest House!

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Merlin Guest House in Key West and couldn’t have had a better experience!  We arrived early, and they allowed us to keep our bags in the office, so we could go and enjoy our day until able to check in.  The room was modern, clean and comfortable.  The grounds and pool area were well maintained and beautiful.  I definitely enjoyed my early morning coffee and float in the pool!

Merlin Guest House was in a great location that allows you to walk to most everywhere.  We would stay again in a heart beat.  Thanks!

Merlin Guest House Our 5th Stay And Likely Not Our Last

This has become “our place” in the Keys.  We’ve never felt a need to look elsewhere because we’ve never been disappointed.  To the contrary, every time we go back we’re reminded why we chose this place.  Quiet and just a block off Duval, exceptional staff (Kenneth and Linda in particular), old south charm, and our kitty away from home Jordan 🙂

Merlin Guest House – Another Great Stay

This was our third time at the Merlin Guest House. We always come to Key West for the Parrothead MOTM and last year we changed to stay at Merlin Guest House. We also stayed in April 2015 for the Jimmy Buffett concert. We love it here–it is quiet and fabulous rooms and service.  And it is close to all the action. Nice breakfast and a heated pool. Kenneth is always friendly and helpful. We love it so much that we already booked our stay for next year before we even left.

Merlin Guest House – Great As Usual, Year After Year!

We have been staying at the Merlin Guest House for several years and would not stay anywhere else.  The location is excellent in that it is very close to all the fun of Key West, yet removed enough that you can really have a relaxing “vacation.”

It is great to recognize the same staff year to year and that says a lot about how they think of the management.  They are all professional and courteous.  The rooms are serviced well and thoroughly.  We appreciate the updating of the rooms we have stayed in and the fact that the Merlin still maintains its Key West charm.

We tell our friends and others we meet how much we like staying at the Merlin and recommend it highly. We have already made our reservation for next October and look forward to returning.

Merlin Guest House – Quaint Central Quiet Location

Loved our stay at Merlin Guest House. Staff was attentive and kept us in towels and bedding without being intrusive. Nice quiet pool area was ideal for breakfast and quiet reading. Still a short walk to Duval Street and easy to find other attractions from here. Good restaurants nearby (Try “Off the Hook” for great seafood and a little bigger breakfast if the hotel continental breakfast isn’t what you had in mind). Short walks to Hemingway House and Southernmost Point. Comfortable, clean cottages. Great Stay!

Merlin Guest House – Really Enjoyed The Stay

Really enjoyed the stay.  Kenneth was great and went out of his way to help us with our reservations.  Appreciated your staff honesty as I accidently left some money in a safe when leaving that they returned to me as soon as they found it.  Tea and sun lotion at the pool were nice little amenities.

Merlin Guest House – Best Place I Have Ever Been!

This place is amazing! It is so beautiful and my family and i have stayed here twice already and the we will never stay anywhere else when we come back! The staff is super friendly, our favorite person is Kenneth who will talk to you forever and a great person to be greeted by. The outside is beautiful and the atmosphere is so relaxing you don’t want to leave it. The location is so close to Duval it will only take you 5 minutes, which is great.

Jordan the resident cat is also a great thing to see everyday and we loved to see him everyday sleeping under the shade. This place is truly one of a kind!

Merlin Guest House – Cozy, Clean And Convenient

We stayed one night at Merlin Guest House during a quick trip to Key West. It was fairly small but we didn’t plan on staying in the room for a long time anyway. It was very clean, not overcrowded with furniture. It was one block to Duval which made it nice. We did not eat at the breakfast buffet as we left before it was served.  Would choose it again.

Merlin Guest House – A Little Jewel

I stayed at the Merlin Guest House for 4 nights in October. My stay has been really pleasant: the guest house location is perfect, near Duval Street. The ambience is also good, I liked the style of the house and all the plants and palms by which it is surrounded. My room was very comfortable, well equipped and always clean. The staff, too, has always been kind but unfortunately I don’t remember the name of the people I talked to. The only negative point I’d like to share is the breakfast, which I didn’t like, but probably it’s because I’m Italian and I’m not used to American breakfast, so this fact won’t influence my positive opinion. I left a piece of my heart in Key West, I hope to come back in the future. Moreover, I’m a travel agent and sure I’ll suggest the Merlin Guesthouse to my clients.

Thank you, and best regards

Merlin Guest House – What A Delight!

After traveling a good part of the country, and staying mostly at chains because of the ease in planning, it was an absolute pleasure to stay at the Merlin, an intimate and inviting guest house where everything was superb. Everyone we came in contact with was warm and welcoming. We found the other guests friendly, and the location idea! Close enough to walk to almost everything (the Hemingway House is a great stop), yet removed enough to be quiet and relaxing. It has now become our first choice for future visits to Key West!
