The property overall is charming and well-maintained. The pool and breakfast area are pleasant. It would have been helpful if the awning-covered area had been explicitly mentioned at check-in, as we didn’t realize it was accessible until our second day! Other guests mentioned they had made the same oversight (or maybe they were just being polite).
The room itself was quaint and charming. The squeaky wooden floors didn’t bother us, but I don’t know about the guests below us. I was surprised that there was no iron and ironing board in a hotel of this quality. It is a handy item after a long trip. The staff were uniformly pleasant and helpful whenever asked. A suggestion, based on a stay at a competing hotel, would be to offer a late-afternoon wine and cheese plate by the pool. Overall, a very pleasant stay. The main attractions for us were the peacefulness and quaintness of the property.By: Ken Kardash on June 1, 2015
