My husband and I stayed at the Cypress House Hotel from 8/3 to 8/7. It was a lovely stay! We had never been to a boutique hotel before (but to Key West many times) & wanted to try it out. I did a LOT of research and found this place to have the best reviews. We really did not know what to expect but were very pleasantly surprised.
The 3 houses that make up the Cypress House establishment were very quaint & historical and our room was updated & beautiful! We had no issues with privacy & really got to relax, especially with no kids at this place. The bed was so comfortable & the room was very clean. We even had several windows in our room overlooking different street angles. The staff was super friendly & helpful. One day we just asked where we could go rent bikes, and the desk clerk offered to have Eaton Bikes deliver to us right on the property. Great customer service! The pool was small and clean & all we needed to cool off after a very Hot day of shopping. We had no security concerns at all and felt very safe, the location was perfect. Only a 5 minute walk to Duval and you are in the heart of the bar scene but far enough away that we had a quiet night’s sleep. The breakfast was delicious with many options and a different selection each day. We mostly enjoyed the biscuits & gravy on Saturday morning. I usually put the breakfast on a tray & brought up to our room since my husband was still sleeping after 10am! They also did a daily cocktail & appetizer (liming hour)which was a different experience from a regular hotel & much appreciated.
The staff really went out of their way to show you a great time and a home away from home. The next time we go to Key West-we will certainly come back to the Cypress House and have already recommended to our family & friends!By: KERI DONOVAN August 15, 2016
