We stayed at the Cypress House for our wedding on the weekend of the speedboat races. The pool are was so nice and private and the breakfast was really well done with delicious hot options and cold items too. The happy hour was a nice welcome in the evenings. The young lady at the Front Desk was really sweet and attentive. She brought us some mimosas on the morning of the wedding when she saw some of the wedding party arriving and she brought an extra chair when we needed.
We experienced a few minor issues or areas of improvement. When we arrived the front desk person told us that the room we originally booked wasn’t available any longer. Not a huge deal to me because I had called after we originally booked and a reservations or front Desk person had moved us to what they had said was the best room.
Housekeeping was a little off. We would take food from breakfast to our room on a tray and they never picked it up. On Saturday, when I got married I was getting ready to leave in my dress and housekeeping stopped by to service the room. I asked her if she could come back in maybe 5 or 10 minutes because I did really want the room to be clean for my wedding night and she said she left soon. I probably should have called the desk, but being my wedding day I honestly didn’t want to deal with it.
Would I stay again? Yes! Would I recommend? yes! Overall, it was a lovely stay and I hope to be able to return to the Cypress House again and again over the years and remember where we spent our wedding night together.By: Nina Moreci on November 23, 2015
