My fiance, future brother, and sister-in-law stayed at the Cypress House January 9-13. This was my first time to the Florida Keys. I was very delighted and impressed by this hotel and staff. When we first arrived we were greeted by a friendly face who checked us in quickly, gave us discounted parking, and located on a map where good local places to eat were, and attractions. When we entered our room, the sweet and cool air conditioning greeted us along with a clean and tidy room. The room had character, which made it feel more homey, rather than your standard hotel room. The hotel seemed to have a sort of community with daily continental breakfasts and happy hours. It was nice to have a place where we felt comfortable after a day of exploring the area. Everyday we would come home to perfectly cleaned rooms, which made the stay even more relaxing. Also, during a ghost tour that we took, we learned this particular hotel had an alleged spooky history, which was exciting. The check-out process was just as easy as the check-in process, only taking about 5 minutes. I would definitely recommend the Cypress House Hotel to others because it was a home away from home because of the prompt, helpful, and informative staff. The rooms were cozy, cool, and clean. The breakfast was filling and plenty, and I’ve never been anywhere that provided a free happy hour to guests. The prices were also very affordable compared to other hotels in the area.
