First, I would like to thank the staff at Cypress House for their personal service and attentiveness to our needs. Thank you. You are all amazing!
The Cypress House Historic Inn is a collection of 3 homes, dated from 1888, and beautifully decorated with a mix of antiques and modern amenities. Our room had a beautiful antique shiferobe. The bathroom had all the modern conveniences yet tastefully decorated to blend in with the historical feel of our room.
Cypress House in is conveniently located blocks away from the Key West Express. We were able to walk with our luggage to the Inn from the Port. We were also one block from Duvall St., which is the main street with shops, restaurants, and entertainment. That said, just about any street we walked or rode our bikes on had a something that would interest anyone.
The staff works with a bicycle rental company that dropped off our rental bikes to the door and picked them up from the door. Talk about convenient! Since the Key West express doesn’t take off for Fort Myers until 6pm, we didn’t know what to do between check out time and 5pm. Again the staff accommodated us and allowed us to keep our luggage safe, while we were allowed to use pool, bathroom, and walk around town to do more sight seeing.
Our room was spotlessly clean. Every morning breakfast was served with a selection of hot or cold food. “Liming Hour” was also another perk, cocktail and a light snack before dinner around the pool under the sheltered patio. Even though it was 90+ degrees, the outdoor patio never felt hot as the fans and shade kept us comfortable.
My husband and I both enjoyed our visit at the Cypress House. As we’re not big drinkers, we did hang around the pool and the staff took time to talk to us as if we were a family member visiting their own home.
We give Cypress House 5 pineapples, 5 stars. If we ever return to Key West we wouldn’t stay anywhere else.
